Mathematical m...In deep mineral exploration, the acquisition of audio magnetotelluric (AMT) data is severely affected by ambient noise near the observation sites; This near-field noise restricts investigation depths. Mathematical morphological filtering (MMF) proved effective in suppressing large-scale strong and variably shaped noise, typically low-frequency noise, but can not deal with pulse noise of AMT data. We combine compressive sensing and MMF. First we use MMF to suppress the large-scale strong ambient noise; second, we use the improved orthogonal match pursuit (IOMP) algorithm to remove the residual pulse noise. To remove the noise and protect the useful AMT signal, a redundant dictionary that matches with spikes and is insensitive to the useful signal is designed. Synthetic and field data from the Luzong field suggest that the proposed method suppresses the near-source noise and preserves the signal well; thus, better results are obtained that improve the output of either MMF or IOMP.展开更多
The proposed Blind Source Separation method(BSS),based on sparse representations,fuses time-frequency analysis and the clustering approach to separate underdetermined speech mixtures in the anechoic case regardless of...The proposed Blind Source Separation method(BSS),based on sparse representations,fuses time-frequency analysis and the clustering approach to separate underdetermined speech mixtures in the anechoic case regardless of the number of sources.The method remedies the insufficiency of the Degenerate Unmixing Estimation Technique(DUET) which assumes the number of sources a priori.In the proposed algorithm,the Short-Time Fourier Transform(STFT) is used to obtain the sparse rep-resentations,a clustering method called Unsupervised Robust C-Prototypes(URCP) which can ac-curately identify multiple clusters regardless of the number of them is adopted to replace the histo-gram-based technique in DUET,and the binary time-frequency masks are constructed to separate the mixtures.Experimental results indicate that the proposed method results in a substantial increase in the average Signal-to-Interference Ratio(SIR),and maintains good speech quality in the separation results.展开更多

Wireless local area network(WLAN) is an indivisible part of the next generation wireless system. In this paper, an open Wi-Fi platform is designed and developed with special consideration of real-time signal processin...Wireless local area network(WLAN) is an indivisible part of the next generation wireless system. In this paper, an open Wi-Fi platform is designed and developed with special consideration of real-time signal processing. Such system can help accelerate research and development of future wireless network, especially in the case of cellular/Wi-Fi co-existing networks. This platform is based on the Intel general-purpose processor and the universal software radio peripheral(USRP) radio front end. The design including the physical layer implementations is purely software and is optimized for real-time signal processing on the general purpose processor. In the lab experiment, this platform supports baseband rate up to 700 Mbps with 2 transmitters in 80 MHz bandwidth. A cellular-Wi-Fi signaling interface between the Wi-Fi access point(AP) and the 5G core network is also developed and validated as an example for wireless resource allocation.展开更多
