Conventional dependency parsers require a number of...In Chinese, dependency analysis has been shown to be a powerful syntactic parser because the order of phrases in a sentence is relatively free compared with English. Conventional dependency parsers require a number of sophisticated rules that have to be handcrafted by linguists, and are too cumbersome to maintain. To solve the problem, a parser using SVM (Support Vector Machine) is introduced. First, a new strategy of dependency analysis is proposed. Then some chosen feature types are used for learning and for creating the modification matrix using SVM. Finally, the dependency of phrases in the sentence is generated. Experiments conducted to analyze how each type of feature affects parsing accuracy, showed that the model can increase accuracy of the dependency parser by 9.2%.展开更多

We also present a method for one-step realization of a nontrivial collective operation which can transform a canonical W state into a fully separable state. Such a transformation plays a key role in recently proposed quantum protocols. The operation speed in our schemes increases with the number of qubits. This is contrary to usual entanglement generation and quantum manipulation schemes which take more and more time with the increase of the number of qubits.展开更多

One promising model ...Avian magnetoreception is the capacity for avians to sense the direction of the Earth's magnetic field. Discovered more than forty years ago, it has attracted intensive studies over the years. One promising model for describing this capacity in avians is the widely used reference-and-probe model where radical pairs within the eyes of bird combines to form singlet and triplet quantum states.The yield depends on the angle between the Earth's magnetic field and the molecules' axis, hence the relative value of yield of the singlet state or triplet state enables avians to sense the direction. Here we report the experimental demonstration of avian magnetoreception in a nuclear magnetic resonance quantum information processor. It is shown clearly from the experiment that the yield of the singlet state attains maximum when it is normal to the Earth's magnetic field, and the experimental results agree with theory very well.展开更多

The interaction of a quantum system with its environment is usually detrimental for the quantum properties of the system and leads to decoherence. However,sometimes a quantum control can lead to a coherent partial exchange of information between the system and the dynamics of the open system might become non-Markovian. In this article, we study experimentally discrete nonMarkovian open quantum system dynamics. We implement a local control protocol using linear optics for controlling the information flow between the open system and the environment. We show how the transition from Markovian to non-Markovian dynamics can be controlled using only local operations for the open system.展开更多
Hyperentanglement is a promising resource in quantum information processing with its high capacity character, defined as the entanglement in multiple degrees of freedom(DOFs) of a quantum system, such as polarization,...Hyperentanglement is a promising resource in quantum information processing with its high capacity character, defined as the entanglement in multiple degrees of freedom(DOFs) of a quantum system, such as polarization, spatial-mode, orbit-angular-momentum, time-bin and frequency DOFs of photons.Recently, hyperentanglement attracts much attention as all the multiple DOFs can be used to carry information in quantum information processing fully. In this review, we present an overview of the progress achieved so far in the field of hyperentanglement in photon systems and some of its important applications in quantum information processing, including hyperentanglement generation, complete hyperentangled-Bell-state analysis, hyperentanglement concentration, and hyperentanglement purification for high-capacity long-distance quantum communication. Also, a scheme for hyper-controlled-not gate is introduced for hyperparallel photonic quantum computation, which can perform two controlled-not gate operations on both the polarization and spatial-mode DOFs and depress the resources consumed and the photonic dissipation.展开更多
