Based on the monthly mean temperatu re,the changing processes and tendencies of temperature during1951-2000in Jilin Province,which i s in Northeast China,are analyzed.A nd the spatial characteristics of th e change are submitted.In the past 50years the te mperature of Jilin Province was increasing just like the other areas in th e world.Since 1990,the increasing of temperature has been more obvious th an that in the previous 40a.From the west to the east,the province has larger tem perature rising.According to Principal Component Analysis(PCA)of temperature field,Jilin Province is divided int o 3regions and the degree of becoming warmer is different from region to re gion.During the period of 1951to 2000,the annual temperature in Jilin Province has been rising,so has the temperature in winter and summer.The average temperature in t he 1990s was 0.5-2.0℃higher than that in the 1950s.From the west to the east,the increasing of temperature becam e smaller. 展开更多

A nested-model system is constructed by embedding the regional climate model RegCM3 into a general circulation model for monthly-scale regional climate forecast over East China. The systematic errors are formulated for the region on the basis of 10-yr (1991-2000) results of the nested-model system, and of the datasets of the Climate Prediction Center (CPC) Merged Analysis of Precipitation (CMAP) and the temperature analysis of the National Meteorological Center (NMC), U.S.A., which are then used for correcting the original forecast by the system for the period 2001-2005. After the assessment of the original and corrected forecasts for monthly precipitation and surface air temperature, it is found that the corrected forecast is apparently better than the original, suggesting that the approach can be applied for improving monthly-scale regional climate dynamical forecast. 展开更多

OBJECTIVE: To investigate the effect of Baduanjin,a traditional Chinese medical exercise, on improving premenstrual syndrome(PMS) symptoms in women.METHODS: Forty reproductive age women with PMS in Macao practiced standardized Baduanjin exercise for three menstrual cycles. A questionnaire,the daily record of severity of problems(DRSP), was used to measure symptom severity. DRSP was filled out every days tarting from the last cycle before exercise(i.e., the first menstrual cycle) to the third cycle after exercise initiation(i.e., the fourth menstrual cycle). The total scores and the scores of each item during the 5 premenstrual days and follicular phase(5-9 postmenstrual days)were calculated.RESULTS: After exercise, the total DRSP scores dur-ing the 5 premenstrual days and differences in the total DRSP scores between the 5 premenstrual days and the follicular phase were both significantly reduced. Of note, the physical symptom total scores in the 5 premenstrual days and the differences between its total score in the 5 premenstrual days and in the follicular phase were both significantly reduced. The differences between the total scores of depressed mood, anxious mood, loss of interest,and reduction in social activity during the 5 premenstrual days and the follicular phase were also reduced.CONCLUSION: Baduanjin exercise was able to improve the mental and especially the physical symptoms of PMS. 展开更多

Long-term trends of precipitation in the North China Plain 被引量:6

The North China Plain (NCP) is the most important food grain producing area in China and has suffered from serious water shortages. To capture variation water availability, it is necessary to have an analysis of changing trends in precipitation. This study, based on daily precipitation data from 47 representative stations in NCP records passed the homogeneity test, analyzed the trend and amplitude of variation in monthly, seasonal and annual precipitation, annual maximum continuous no-rain days, annual rain days, rainfall intensity, and rainfall extremes from 1960 to 2007, using the MannKendall (M-K) test and Sen's slope estimator. It was found that monthly precipitation in winter had a significant increasing trend in most parts, while monthly precipitation in July to September showed a decreasing trend in some parts of NCP. No significant changing trend was found for the annual, dry and wet season precipitation and rainfall extremes in the majority of NCP.A significant decreasing trend was detected for the maximum no-rain duration and annual rain days in the major part of NCP. It was concluded that the changing trend of precipitation in NCP had an apparent seasonal and regional pattern, i.e., precipitation showed an obvious increasing trend in winter, but a decreasing trend in the rainy season (July to September), and the changing trend was more apparent in the northern part than in the southern and middle parts. This implies that with global warming, seasonal variation of precipitation in NCP tends to decline with an increasing of precipitation in winter season, and a decreasing in rainy season, particularly in the sub-humid northern part. 展开更多
