Through solid mechanics analysis of anchored surrounding rock with defect from water seepage, combined with numerical analysis for instability mechanism under water seepage in deeply inclined roadway, key factors were proposed. Results show that with increasing height of layer crack plate, lateral buckling critical load value for high wall of the roadway decreases; there is a multistage distribution for tensile stress along the anchor bolt with defect under pulling state condition;groundwater seepage seriously affects the strength of surrounding rock of the roadway, to some extent the plastic zone of the high side rises up to 8 m. Finally some support strategies were proposed for the inclined roadway and successfully applied to Haoyuan coal mine in Tiela mining area, western China.展开更多

In a first step, the influence of the process parameters on the kerftaper angle of metallic alloys was systematically investigated without beam inclination. A set of base parameters was derived for the subsequent investigations. In a second step, the kerftaper angle was controlled by static beam inclination. In a third step, the same optics was used in its dynamic precession mode to fabricate micro-mechanical components of complex contours with perpendicular 0~ taper angles. It was found that taper angle adjustments of up to 7.5~ are possible with the used setup for cutting applications. Taper angle control is possible both in the static beam inclination mode and in the dynamic precession mode. The static mode could be interesting for contours with sharp inner radii and for achieving faster cutting times similar to results with fixed optics, but would require excellent synchronization of beam inclination and axis motion. The dynamic precession mode would allow an easier integration of the optics into a laser machine but will result in longer cutting times and limitations with respect to achievable inner radii.展开更多

Different from the most studied Snakeboard, the Essboard consists of a torsion bar and two platforms, each of which contains a pedal and a caster. We first investigate the relationship between the tilt angles of the pedals and the wheel directions of the casters. This relationship reveals how to control the wheel directions by adjusting the tilt angles. Next, the rotational radius of the Essboard is derived for a given pair of tilt angles of both pedals. The rotational radius of the Essboard is much different than that of the Snakeboard. Then we develop a path-planning algorithm for the Essboard to move from a start position to the goal, using a series of consecutively connected arcs, which are tangent to each other at the connected points. It is shown from a kinematic point of view that the path planning of the Essboard can be solved by a series of pairs of pedals' tilt angles. Three experiments are conducted to confirm the correctness of the main results. The results in this paper are a foundation for further study of the Essboard.展开更多
