In addition to the well-known auto-immune, insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus (type 1 diabetes (T 1D)), the past two decades have witnessed the emergence of type 2 diabetes (T2D) in children and adolescents, which previously was only seen in middle-aged or older adults. One of the key components of diabetes management is physical activity (PA). The beneficial effects of increased PA and decreased sedentary behavior are extremely important in youth with diabetes because of the markedly increased long-term risk of cardiovascular disease in this population compared to persons without diabetes. This review aims to comprehensively summarize the epidemiologic, observational research published and listed in PubMed between 1970 and 2012 on PA and sedentary behaviors, as well as physical fitness in children and adolescents with T1D and T2D. Additionally, we describe briefly the state of knowledge on perceived barriers of PA in persons with diabetes, with a focus on hypoglycemia. Finally, we provide an overview of the epidemiological literature pertaining to health benefits of increased PA in youth with TID and T2D and briefly discuss the topic of exercise-related hypoglycemia, Copyright ~ 2012, Shanghai University of Sport. Methods: Twenty-eight postoperative cases with stage Ⅰ or stage Ⅱrenal cell carcinoma were admitted in our hospital from January 2002 to June 2006, all cases were pathologically confirmed, and were divided into group A (18 cases) and group B (10 cases). Group A was administrated 3-12 periods of CIK cells treatment combined with 5-7 cycles of IL-2 and INFα-2b, together with 4 cycles of chemotherapy (5-Fu + CF). Group B was given 4 cycles of chemotherapy (5-Fu + CF) and 5-7 cycles of IL-2 and INFa-2b. Results: Three cases in group A had metastatic masses in two lungs within 1 year and died within 2 years postoperatively. The other 15 cases are still alive and in good health. Six cases in group B had metastatic masses in two lungs or/and in abdominal cavity within 1 year, and 4 of them died within 2 years. All the 6 cases died within 3 years. The other 4 cases are still alive and in good health. Conclusion: CIK cells are safe and effective for the treatment of stage I or stage II renal cell carcinoma, which should be further widely used.展开更多

And we come to a conclusion through this 4-month exercise, when concerns to physical shape and physiological indicator: we can see a significant difference on WHR body mass index and vital capacity (p≤ 0.01); as well as waist circumference, pulse, systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, sit and reach, grip strength (p ≤ 0.05). So we note that long-term "Health Qignng .WuQinxi" practice can improve the physical health of the university students, and assess the students who failed to meet health standards physically, and fmally realize our hope promoting the comprehensive development of university students.展开更多

Common etiological factors include autoimmune diseases, ma-lignancy, and pregnancy. We report two cases of AHA in solid cancer. The first case is a 63-year-old man who developed peritoneal and intestinal bleeding after gastrectomy for gastric cancer. He was diagnosed with AHA, and was treated with prednisone, followed by cyclophosphamide. In the second case, a 68-year-old man developed a subcutaneous hemorrhage. He was diagnosed with AHA in hepatocellular carcinoma on CT imaging, and treated with rituximab alone. Hemostasis was achieved for both patients without bypassing agents as the amount of inhibitors was reduced and eradicated. However, both patients died within 1 yeardue to cancer progression. Successful treatment for AHA in solid cancer can be diffcult because treatment of the underlying malignancy is also required.展开更多

In addition to having offensive and defensive skills, it also absorbs the Chinese classical philosophy, traditional Chinese meridian theory and theory of health keeping. Cultural connotation of Tai chi chuan helps harmonious campus culture and mental health education. After years of research, the theory and practice shows that : health effects of tai chi chuan on college students have positive significance, including the physical health and mental health.展开更多
