Finite-difference numerical modeling with even-order accuracy in two-phase anisotropic media 被引量:4

To improve the accuracy of the conventional finite-difference method, finitedifference numerical modeling methods of any even-order accuracy are recommended. We introduce any even-order accuracy difference schemes of any-order derivatives derived from Taylor series expansion. Then, a finite-difference numerical modeling method with any evenorder accuracy is utilized to simulate seismic wave propagation in two-phase anisotropic media. Results indicate that modeling accuracy improves with the increase of difference accuracy order number. It is essential to find the optimal order number, grid size, and time step to balance modeling precision and computational complexity. Four kinds of waves, static mode in the source point, SV wave cusps, reflection and transmission waves are observed in two-phase anisotropic media through modeling. 展开更多

Research on the Interannual Variability of the Great Whirl and the Related Mechanisms 被引量:2

Based on AVISO (archiving, validation and interpretation of satellite data in oceanography) data from 1993 to 2010, QuikSCAT (Quick Scatterometer) data from 2000 to 2008, and Argo data from 2003 to 2008, the interannual variability of the Great Whirl (GW) and related mechanisms are studied. It shows that the origin and termination times of the GW, as well as its location and intensity, have significant interarmual variability. The GW appeared earliest (latest) in 2004 (2008) and vanished ear- liest (latest) in 2006 (2001), with the shortest (longest) duration in 2008 (2001). Its center was most southward (northward) in 2007 (1995), while the minimum (maximum) amplitude and area occurred in 2003 and 2002 (1997 and 2007), respectively. The GW was weaker and disappeared earlier with its location tending to be in the southwest in 2003, while in 2005 it was stronger, van- ished later and tended to be in northeast. The abnormal years were often not the same among different characters of the GW, and were not all coincident with ENSO (El Nifio-Southern Oscillation) or IOD (Indian Ocean Dipole) events, indicating the very com- plex nature of GW variations. Mechanism investigations shows that the interannual variability of intraseasonal wind stress curl in GW region results in that of the GW. The generation of the GW is coincident with the arrival of Rossby waves at the Somali coast in spring; the intensity of the GW is also influenced by Rossby waves. The termination of the GW corresponds well to the second one of the top two peaks in the baroclinic energy conversion rate in GW region, and the intensity and the position of the GW are also closely related to the top two baroclinic energy conversion rates. 展开更多

Recently,more attention have been paid on the construction of dipole moment functions(DMF)using theoretical methods.However,the computational methods to construct DMFs are not validated as much as those for potential energy surfaces do.In this letter,using Ar…He as an example,we tested how spectroscopyaccuracy DMFs can be constructed using ab initio methods.We especially focused on the basis set dependency in this scenario,i.e.,the convergence of DMF with the sizes of basis sets,basis set superposition error,and mid-bond functions.We also tested the explicitly correlated method,which converges with smaller basis sets than the conventional methods do.This work can serve as a pictorial sample of all these computational technologies behaving in the context of constructing DMFs. 展开更多

An iterative method is introduced successfully to solve the inverse kinematics of a 6-DOF manipulator of a tunnel drilling rig based on dual quaternion, which is difficult to get the solution by Denavit-Hartenberg(D-H) based methods. By the intuitive expression of dual quaternion to the orientation of rigid body, the coordinate frames assigned to each joint are established all in the same orientation, which does not need to use the D-H procedure. The compact and simple form of kinematic equations, consisting of position equations and orientation equations, is also the consequence of dual quaternion calculations. The iterative process is basically of two steps which are related to solving the position equations and orientation equations correspondingly. First, assume an initial value of the iterative variable; then, the position equations can be solved because of the reduced number of unknown variables in the position equations and the orientation equations can be solved by applying the solution from the position equations, which obtains an updated value for the iterative variable; finally, repeat the procedure by using the updated iterative variable to the position equations till the prescribed accuracy is obtained. The method proposed has a clear geometric meaning, and the algorithm is simple and direct. Simulation for 100 poses of the end frame shows that the average running time of inverse kinematics calculation for each demanded pose of end-effector is 7.2 ms on an ordinary laptop, which is good enough for practical use. The iteration counts 2-4 cycles generally, which is a quick convergence. The method proposed here has been successfully used in the project of automating a hydraulic rig. 展开更多

This paper is concerned with (3,n) and (4,n) regular quasi-cyclic Low Density Parity Check (LDPC) code constructions from elementary number theory.Given the column weight,we determine the shift values of the circulant permutation matrices via arithmetic analysis.The proposed constructions of quasi-cyclic LDPC codes achieve the following main advantages simultaneously:1) our methods are constructive in the sense that we avoid any searching process;2) our methods ensure no four or six cycles in the bipartite graphs corresponding to the LDPC codes;3) our methods are direct constructions of quasi-cyclic LDPC codes which do not use any other quasi-cyclic LDPC codes of small length like component codes or any other algorithms/cyclic codes like building block;4)the computations of the parameters involved are based on elementary number theory,thus very simple and fast.Simulation results show that the constructed regular codes of high rates perform almost 1.25 dB above Shannon limit and have no error floor down to the bit-error rate of 10-6. 展开更多

A bundle adjustment method of remote sensing images based on dual quaternion is presented,which conducted the uniform disposal corresponding location and attitude of sequence images by the dual quaternion.The constraint relationship of image itself and sequence images is constructed to compensate the systematic errors.The feasibility of this method used in bundle adjustment is theoretically tested by the analysis of the structural characteristics of error equation and normal equation based on dual quaternion.Different distributions of control points and stepwise regression analysis are introduced into the experiment for RC30 image.The results show that the adjustment accuracy can achieve 0.2min plane and 1min elevation.As a result,this method provides a new technique for geometric location problem of remote sensing images. 展开更多

The results show that the southwest monsoon over East Asian will break out later than normal, the intensity of the summer monsoon over the South China Sea (SCS) is stronger than normal, and more rainfall on Chinese main land is simulated when only IOD forcing exists. With both IOD and Equatorial East Pacific Ocean SSTA forcing, the southwest monsoon will break out much later than normal, the intensity of the SCS summer monsoon also is weaker than normal, and less rainfall in North China is simulated. From an inelastic excitation and breakup experiment with a12Be beam at 29 MeV/u,a large4He+8He cluster decay width of 1.1(2)MeV is determined for a state at an excitation energy of 10.3 MeV and with a spin parity of 0+.By using the R-matrix analysis,a cluster spectroscopic factor of 0.53(10)is extracted from the cluster partial width,providing a strong support for the clustering structure in12Be.A specially designed zero-degree telescope played an essential role in the present experiment and has been demonstrated to be a promising tool in future studies of the molecular-like resonances near the cluster separation threshold. 展开更多
