In order to review storage performance of the electric double layer capacitor (EDLC) in microgrid applications, charging time and storage efficiency issues are mainly studied aiming at three different charging modes, including the constant voltage charging mode (CVCM), the constant current charging mode (CCCM) and the constant power charging mode (CPCM), based on the practical EDLC product. Numerical calculation methods are presented for different charging modes, and the charging efficiency is also reviewed with strict mathematical deductions, which is validated to be accurate enough and applicable through a simple case with the PV/EDLC system illustration. Finally, trade-off problems between charging time and energy loss are also studied. Research results show that the CPCM is more suitable for microgrid networks compared with the traditional constant-voltage and constant-current charging modes. The hybrid charging method is recommended to save energy and keep high efficiency relatively at the same time. However, how to manage the combination percentage of different charging modes in a reasonable way should be dealt with according to the practical requirements. 展开更多

Wehave reviewed existing papers and implementations of GC, and especially analyzed Boehm' s C codes, which isa real-time mark-sweep GC running under Linux and ANSI C standard. In this paper, we will quantitatively an-alyze the performance of different configurations of Boehm' s collector subjected to different workloads. Reportedmeasurements demonstrate that a refined garbage collector is a viable alternative to traditional explicit memorymanagement techniques, even for low-level languages. This method avoids the direct eigen decomposition, using the sliding window technique to obtain the code synchronization, then use segmentation subspace tracking method estimate spreading sequence and splice in a certain order to achieve pseudo-code blind estimation. The adsorption of hydrogen molecule on the external surface of pure 0120 nanocapsule and endohedrallyH2 @C120 complex has been examined using the density functional theory calculations. Several different bonding configu- rations are considered for the hydrogen molecule approaching the outer surface of the considered nanocages. It has been found that the adsorbed H2 molecule bound weakly to the outer surface of the pure C1~0 nanocapsules in agreement with the recent experimental and theoretical results while, it prefers to be adsorbed rather strongly on the side wall of the endohedrally /-/2@C120 complex. The adsorption of a single layer and bi-layer of two tt2 molecules on the most stable states of the considered H2@C120 complex appears to be feasible, although the molecules of the second layer are weakly bound. Furthermore, it is found that the formation of 100% coverage is favorable thermodynamically, which corresponds to about 20% by weight storage of 1-12 molecules. Thus, surprisingly, we arrive at the prediction that the C120 nanocapsules can be implemented as a novel material for energy storage. 展开更多

For development of passenger electrical transport, it is necessary to use energy more rationally. One of methods of vehicle power efficiency increase is installation of on-board energy storage systems. For studying of system operation, it is necessary to carry out a lot of experiments, therefore it is favorable to use the test bench and its computer model for reduction of the number of physical experiments. In this article, the results of computer modeling for the optimization of traction drive test bench by adjusting of the operation parameters of supercapacitor energy storage are described. Test bench operation is considered in cases of the energy storage system working at various selected supercapacitor initial voltages. Maximal increase of possibility of vehicle test bench regenerative braking with minimal decrease of autonomous power supply mode possibility is investigated. There is estimated the energy storage system efficiency improving measures dependence from supercapacitor operational voltage ranges. Parameters at which the minimum losses of energy are observed are revealed. Dependence of energy storage system discharge power on the most admissible supercapacitor current is established. 展开更多
