A procedure of catalytically colorimetric determination has been established of chlorine in rocks.A certain quantity of sample is taken and fused with NaOh before water-immersion extraction.After its pH is adjusted to...A procedure of catalytically colorimetric determination has been established of chlorine in rocks.A certain quantity of sample is taken and fused with NaOh before water-immersion extraction.After its pH is adjusted to 7 with 70% HClO4 and 4% NaOH(v/v),the solution is transfered to a 100c.c volumetric flask.Only a small portion of it is taken for the measurement of absorbance on a colorimeter by either constant time method or constant eoncentration method.This procedure is simple,rapid and well reproducible.The limit of detection is 1×10^-1μg/ml and the coefficient of variation 7.35.It in most eases,gives satisfactory results for catalytically colorimetrie determination of ehlorine contained in rocks.展开更多
