Firstly, the thesis shows what the basic classic American characteristics are and the d...This thesis aims at the study of the American elements in oriental story Kung Fu Panda which was made by DreamWorks of Hollywood. Firstly, the thesis shows what the basic classic American characteristics are and the definition of American Dream, as well as some basic study on Hollywood＇s operation of movies. Then, it analyzes the above traits in Kung Fu Panda, the embodiment of American elements in Kung Fu Panda and the recipe for Hollywood＇s manufacturing success. At last, based on the analyses which have been pointed out, this thesis tries to arrive at the conclusion that although with an oriental-story setting, Kung Fu Panda is still American-styled and at the same time, this thesis gives some suggestive strategies that can help Chinese movie industry step out of the awkward situation.展开更多
Based on behavior science and direct causes analysis of serious accidents in Chinese coal mines in recent 5 years, a conclusion that unsafe behaviors of coal mine staff were the direct causes of these serious accident...Based on behavior science and direct causes analysis of serious accidents in Chinese coal mines in recent 5 years, a conclusion that unsafe behaviors of coal mine staff were the direct causes of these serious accidents was drawn, accounting for 91.3%. If staff was divided into executor and manager, percentages of the executor＇s and manager＇s unsafe behaviors in direct causes of the accidents were 69% and 54%, respectively, with executor＇s unsafe behavior as direct causes and manager＇s unsafe behavior as essential reasons after thorough analysis of these accidents. Further, on the basis of dual structure theory analysis, three new understandings, including transformation, hierarchy classification and representativeness of behavior factors were il- lustrated. Behavior factors of executors and managers in Chinese coal mines were summarized and classified by new recogni- tion. Then, dual structure theory was applied in a coal mine in Hebei Province of China; weakening unsafe behaviors and strengthening safe factors can attain the purpose of motivating safer behaviors in the coal mine.展开更多

Drawing upon her experience as a multifarious Arab-American writer whose father was a Palestinian immigrant and whose mother was an American, Nye tries to build bridges across political, national, cultural, and ethnic boundaries. Through a love story between the two protagonists （Liyana, whose father is a Palestinian-American and whose mother is American and Omer, whose parents are Jewish Israelis）, Nye endeavors to bring about a sense of harmony and understanding between the politically, ethnically, culturally, and racially separated J home whether in reality ews and Palestinians. Methods： 87 cases of vehicle-to-pedestrian accidents, with detailed injury information and determined vehicle impact parameters, were included. The severity of injury was scaled in line with the Abbreviated Injury Scale （AIS）. The chest biomechanical response parameters and change characteristics were obtained by using Hyperworks and LS-DYNA computing. Simulation analysis was applied to compare the characteristics of injuries. Results： When impact velocities at 25, 40 and 55 km/h, respectively, 1） the maximum values of thorax velocity criterion （VC） were for 0.29, 0.83 and 2.58 m/s; and at the same collision velocity, the thorax VC from the impact on pedestrian＇s front was successively greater than on his back and on his side; 2） the maximum values of peak stress on ribs were 154,177 and 209 MPa; and at the same velocity, peak stress values on ribs from the impact on pedestrian＇s side were greater than on his front and his back. Conclusion： There is a positive correlation between the severity and risk of thorax injury and the collision velocity and angle of car-thorax crashes. At the same velocity, it is of greater damage risk when the soft tissue of thorax under a front impact; and there is also a greater risk of ribs fracture under a side impact of the thorax. This result is of vital significance for diagnosis and protection of thorax collision injuries.展开更多
