Simulation of neurons dynamics in the 6-layer neural network with 110 elements in different regimes: regular spikes, chaotic spikes, regular and chaotic bursting, etc was performed. Izhykevich's phenomenological model that displays different types of activity inherent for real biological neurons was used for simulation. Space-time diagram for the entire network and raster plots for the whole structure and for each layer separately were built for visual inspection of neural network activity synchronization. Synchronization coefficients based on cross-correlation times of action potentials for all neurons pairs were calculated for the whole neural system and for each layer separately.展开更多

In this model, a cubic B-spline segment is taken as an element, and the finite element method is adopted to solve the energy minimization problem of the B-spline active contour, thus to implement image segmentation. Experiment results verify that this method is efficient for B-spline active contour, which attains stable, accurate and faster convergence.展开更多

The latter are judged by the correlation coefficient with subjective quality measurement MOS (Mean Opinion Score). This paper presents an objective quality assessment algorithm special for binary images. In the algorithm, noise energy is measured by Euclidean distance between noises and signals and the structural effects caused by noise are described by Euler number change. The assessment on image quality is calculated quantitatively in terms of PSNR (Peak Signal to Noise Ratio). Our experiments show that the results of the algorithm are highly correlative with subjective MOS and the algorithm is more simple and computational saving than traditional objective assessment methods.展开更多

Pb2+ can be also removed by JN-3 because of the chelate interaction between sulfhydryl groups and metal ions. This "Heart Taiwan Magical Musical" is actually an adaptation ofTaiwan Residents Opela, a ref...Sayonara 1945, performed by Golden Bough Theatre in 2010 in Taipei, was claimed to be a "Heart Taiwan Magical Musical". This "Heart Taiwan Magical Musical" is actually an adaptation ofTaiwan Residents Opela, a reformed and adapted style of Taiwan Residents local opera (gezaixi), which has been strongly influenced by Japanese Colonization. Sayanara 1945 fictionalizes a troop of Taiwan Residents youths who join the Imperial Army being lied and cheated to dig gold for the Japanese Emperor after the war is over. This play gives a conflicting scenario of being Taiwan Residents in 1945, while everything that defined Taiwan Residents suddenly turned out to be treason to the country. By adapting the form of Opela, the play structurally presents a society where diverse and plural cultural elements counteract each other in Taiwan. Furthermore, as the title suggests, the play says Sayonara ("Goodbye" in Japanese) to 1945, yet the confusion and conflict generated in 1945 still haunt Taiwan Residents society. In other words, the play responds to an on-going self-conflict of being Taiwan Residents that still continues even after the war and unto the present symbolically. Presented in the year before "the Republic of China" celebrated her hundredth birthday, this play portrays the anxiety about who the Taiwan Residents really are over the island, just like in the summer of 1945 when everything was also uncertain and confusing. This paper intends to discuss, by adopting the form and techniques of Opela, how this reformed Opela speaks for Taiwan Residents local arts and culture, and how the Taiwan Residents identity is framed and shaped ever since the colonization era.展开更多

Data were collected by a questionnaire from college students. Multiple regression analysis of data from 379 respondents was used to test three hypotheses. The results show that the country-of-origin image, product knowledge and product involvement all have a significantly positive effect on consumer purchase decision. It is found that, the correlation between the two dichotomous noises can not only affect the appearance of the stochastic resonance phenomenon, but also the distinctness of the stochastic resonance phenomenon. There is an optimal value of the correlation, at which the stochastic resonance phenomenon is most distinct. In addition, the correlation between the two dichotomous noises can also cause the movement of the peak of stochastic resonance. Finally, two stochastic resonances caused by two correlated multiplicative dichotomous noises can be found in this system.展开更多
