Based on the simulation by optical software TracePro,a physical street lamp system including 600 white LEDs was achieved. This system was operated under a constant current of 20 mA for each unit,and the electric power consumption of the whole lamp was only 42 W. Experimental results demonstrated that the total average illuminance reached 8.8 lx and the overall uniformity was 0.370 for a 30-m-long and 10-m-wide test area at a height of 8 m,which is fully acceptable for the current standard for sub-main road.展开更多

We analysed the effect of cadmium and mercury salts upon chlorophyll fluorescence emision of Microcystis aeruginosa, Cylindrospermopsis raciborskii and Aphanizomenon gracile. Time of incubation (3, 12 and 24 h) and salts concentration(1 μM, 10 μM, 100μM) influenced the emision. The higher the salt concentration and the longer the time of incubation, the greater the influence on inhibition of chlorophyll fluorescence was observed. Our results might indicate that nontoxic strains of M. aeruginosa MAKR0205 can have a high tolerance to heavy metal ions and ability of their detoxication. Further studies are necessary to confirm their potential ability in the water purification.展开更多

We use wave function approach to derive the explicit and ana...We investigate the features of the spontaneous emission spectra in a cold five-level atomic system coupled by a single elliptically polarized control field. We use wave function approach to derive the explicit and analytical expressions of atomic spontaneous emission spectra. It is shown that some interesting phenomena such as spectralline enhancement, spectral-line suppression, spectral-line narrowing, spectral-line splitting and dark fluorescence can be observed in the spectra by appropriately modulating the phase difference between the right-hand circularly (LHC) and left-hand circularly (RHC) polarized components of the elliptically polarized control field and the intensity of external magnetic field. The number of emission peaks, the positions of fluorescence-quenching points can be also controlled. Furthermore, we propose an ultracold 87Rb atomic system for experimental observation. These investigations may find applications in high-precision spectroscopy.展开更多
The proton implantation is one of key procedures to confine the current diffusion in vertical cavity surface emitting lasers(VCSELs),in which the proton implanted depth and profile are main parameters.Threshold charac...The proton implantation is one of key procedures to confine the current diffusion in vertical cavity surface emitting lasers(VCSELs),in which the proton implanted depth and profile are main parameters.Threshold characteristics of VCSELs with various proton implanted depths are studied after optical,electrical and thermal fields have been simulated self-consistently in three dimensions.It is found that for VCSELs with confinement radius of 2 mm,increasing proton implanted depth can reduce the injected current threshold power and enhance the laser temperature in active region.Numerical results also indicate that there are optimal values for current aperture in proton implanted VCSELs.The minimum injected current threshold can be achieved in VCSELs with proton implantation near the active region and confinement radius of 1.5 mm,while the VCSELs with proton implantation in the middle of p-type distributed Bragg reflectors(DBRs) and confinement radius of 2.5 mm can realize the minimum temperature.展开更多
