This bath can be artificially realized with coupled resonators in one dimension and possesses photonic band structure like Bloeh electron in a periodic potential. In the presence of repetitive measurements, the pure QAZE is discovered as the observable decay is not negligible even for the atomic energy level spacing outside of the energy band of the artificial bath. If there were no measurements, the decay would not happen outside of the band. In this sense, the enhanced decay is completely induced by measurements through the relaxation channels provided by the bath. Besides, we also discuss the controversial golden rule decay rates originated from the van Hove's singularities and the effects of the counter-rotating terms.展开更多

Here, we describe a hydrothermal strategy for coupling vertical ZnO nanorods on MoS2 monolayers without a catalyst. These vapor-solid-grown MoS2 monolayers aid in growing vertical ZnO nanorods via epitaxy. Enhanced Raman and photoluminescence emissions were observed from the MoS2 monolayers under the ZnO nanorods in these coupled structures, which was attributed to the light antenna effect of the ZnO nanorods. These hybrid and incorporation protocols for layered materials will provide new perspectives and opportunities for promoting the construction of heterojunctions with adjustable layered structures leading to fascinating fundamental phenomena and advanced devices.展开更多

In this work, we present a novel strategy to improve UCL of NaYF4:ybB,Er3. UCNPs, by combining the near-field coupling of SPR of silver and the far-field coupling of poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) opal photonic crystals (OPCs) with the UCNPs. In order to control the effective interaction distance between the UCNPs and the SPR, a porous silver film consisting of randomly distributed silver nanoparticles (NPs) (〉 100 nm) was prepared which demonstrated strong SPR over a broad wavelength range, and its coupling to the UCNPs was found to be much stronger than that of a dense film. In the far-field coupling of OPCs, the photonic stop band (PSB) of the PMMA OPCs was tuned to 980 nm, matching exactly the excitation light. By modulating the particle size of the UCNPs, and the direction and excitation power of the incident light, a maximum enhancement of 60-fold was observed, which is an important advance for metaMnduced UCL enhancement systems.展开更多

The impacts of several fiber parameters on the coupling characteristics of the polarization splitter are investigated by full-vectorial finite element method(FV-FEM) in detail. Through optimizing the fiber configuration, a 4.267-mm-long polarization splitter with a bandwidth of 37 nm is achieved, and its extinction ratio(ER) is as high as 81.2 d B at the wavelength of 1.55 μm. Compared with the hexagonal dual-core photonic crystal fiber(H-D-PCF) based polarization splitter, both ER and bandwidth of the O-D-PCF based one are effectively improved.展开更多
