A general prediction model for seven heavy metals was established using the heavy metal contents of 207soil samples measured by a portable X-ray fluorescence spectrometer(XRF)and six environmental factors as model cor...A general prediction model for seven heavy metals was established using the heavy metal contents of 207soil samples measured by a portable X-ray fluorescence spectrometer(XRF)and six environmental factors as model correction coefficients.The eXtreme Gradient Boosting(XGBoost)model was used to fit the relationship between the content of heavy metals and environment characteristics to evaluate the soil ecological risk of the smelting site.The results demonstrated that the generalized prediction model developed for Pb,Cd,and As was highly accurate with fitted coefficients(R~2)values of 0.911,0.950,and 0.835,respectively.Topsoil presented the highest ecological risk,and there existed high potential ecological risk at some positions with different depths due to high mobility of Cd.Generally,the application of machine learning significantly increased the accuracy of pXRF measurements,and identified key environmental factors.The adapted potential ecological risk assessment emphasized the need to focus on Pb,Cd,and As in future site remediation efforts.展开更多

The results show that, the range of heavy metal elements were in the range of 0- 10.0 mg/L, with good linear relationship. In addition, all correlation coefficients kept higher than 0.999, and the recovery rate of ample added with standard solution was in 94.1%-110%. By comparison with the result of chemical experiment, the method was quickly accessible and convenient, widely used in the measurement of elements in honey, with satisfactory results.展开更多

The results showed that correlation coefficients al kept higher than 0.999 and the recovery rates of sample added standard solutions were in 98%-114%. The results indicated that the contents of Cu, Pb, Cd, Cr, Mn, As, Hg and Ba were 17.119, 3.781, 0.695, 7.351, 1997.982, 0.620, 0.144, 4.249 mg/kg respectively. The contents of Mn exceeded national limit by hundredfold, Cd sevenfold, Pd fourfold, Cd three-and-a-half-fold, and As onefold. Sipunculs nudus became seriously pol uted. Therefore, it is necessary to formulate robust policies to fol ow closely and pay close attention to coastal areas pol ution around Dongfang City.展开更多

The parallel algorithm is shown to have good performance as compared to non parallel cases, especially when the stiffness matrix is not memorized. [Method]The 6 elements Cu,Zn,Ca,Fe,Mg and Mn in roots of G.uralensis were extracted based on traditional decoction method and were separated into water-soluble state and suspension state by micro porous filtering film. The elements in water-soluble state were detected by flame atomic adsorption spectrophotometry (FAAS). [Result]The results showed that extractive rates of the elements were in the range of 1.71%-60.06%,and immerse-residue ratio in 0.018 3-1.682 0; the results also indicated that the immerse-residue ratio of Zn was biggest (1.68),Zn played an important medical role and might be considered as the best characteristic element in G.uralensis; the recoveries of the elements were ranged from 95.72% to 103.15% and relative standard deviations (RSD) were less than 2.38%. [Conclusion]Because of its high accuracy,FAAS method is feasible for analyzing primary speciation of microelements in G.uralensis.展开更多

The basic pr...As a kind of low-cost and readily available industrial byproduct, ethylene tar (ET) was for the first time utilized for the preparation of heat-resistant condensed polynuclear aromatic resin (COPNAR). The basic properties of ET and the resulted COPNAR were characterized by FT-IR, IH-NMR, TGA and elemental analysis. The test results showed that ET with high aromatic content (〉50%) was suitable for the synthesis of COPNAR with superior heat resistance. The average molecular structure of ET was obtained by means of the improved Brown-Ladner method, and the reaction mechanism was considered as an acid-catalyzed positive ion-typed polymerization. Our findings have provided a new route to develop ET into technology-added heat-resistant resins.展开更多
