In a genetic screen to search for mutants with constitutive defense responses, we identified multiple alleles of mpk4 and mekkl that exhibit cell death and constitutive defense responses. Bimolecular fluorescence complemen- tation (BiFC) analysis showed that both MPK4 and MEKK1 interact with MKK1 and MKK2, two closely related MAPK kinases, mkkl and mkk2 single mutant plants do not have obvious mutant phenotypes. To test whether MKK1 and MKK2 function redundantly, mkkl mkk2 double mutants were generated. The mkkl mkk2 double mutant plants die at seedling stage and the seedling-lethality phenotype is temperature-dependent. Similar to the mpk4 and mekkl mutants, the mkkl mkk2 double mutant seedlings accumulate high levels of H202, display spontaneous cell death, constitutively express Pathogenesis Related (PR) genes and exhibit pathogen resistance. In addition, activation of MPK4 by fig22 is impaired in the mkkl mkk2 double mutants, suggesting that MKK1 and MKK2 function together with MPK4 and MEKK1 in a MAP kinase cascade to negatively regulate innate immune responses in plants.展开更多

Methods: Studies were performed on an in vivo model of spontaneously breathing rats with induced T/HS; the rats were subjected to femur fracture, ischemia for 30 min, and reperfusion for 20 min with Ringer's lactate solution (RS) or 5% (w/v) albumin (ALB), and the left lower lobes of the lungs were resected. Results: Albumin administered during reperfusion markedly attenuated injury of the lung and decreased the concentration of lactic acid and the number of in situ TdT-mediated dUTP nick-end labelling (TUNEL)-positive cells. Moreover, immunohistochemistry performed 24 h after reperfusion revealed increases in the level of nuclear factor κB (NF-κB), and phosphorylated p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) in the albumin-untreated group was down-regulated by albumin treatment when compared with the sham rats. Conclusion: Resuscitation with albumin attenuates tissue injury and inhibits T/HS-induced apoptosis in the lung via the p38 MAPK signal transduction pathway that functions to stimulate the activation of NF-κB.展开更多

An anahrmonie model of a two-dimensional oscillator having Kratzer potential energy function is used to model the molecular species and to represent the unperturbed system. A selection rule for the radial quantum number of the oscillator is derived. The eigenfunctions of a two-dimensional anharmonic oscillator in cylindrical coordinates are used for the matrix elements representing the probability for energy transitions in dipole approximation to be calculated. Several forms of perturbation operators are proposed to model the interaction between the polyatomic molecular species and an electrostatic field. It is found that the degeneracy is removed in the presence of the electric field and spectral splitting occurs. Anharmonic approximation for the unperturbed system is more accurate and reliable representation of a reaJ polyatomic molecular species.展开更多

The research focused on the Sudetic Marginal Fault Zone(SMFZ) –a 250 km long active fault zone with documented intraplate seismicity situated on the NE margin of the Bohemian Massif(the Czech Republic). The tectonic history of the SMFZ as well as its kinematic development has been rather complicated and not quite understood. A field structural investigation was carried out in extensive surroundings of the fault zone. The fault-slip data were collected in a number of natural outcrops and quarries with the aim at establishing a robust and field-constrained model for local brittle structural evolution of the studied area. A paleostress analysis was calculated using the collected fault-slip data inversion. The T-Tecto software was utilized for semiautomatic separation of the paleostress phases. Simultaneously three methods of data separation were employed:(1) the Gauss inverse method,(2) the Visualization of Gauss object Function, and(3) the frequency analysis. Within the fault zone multiphase movements were observed on various types of faults as well as wide range of the kinematic indicators orientations. The frequency analysis confirmed the multiphase history of the SMFZ. The calculated tectonic phases were divided according to their relative age as constrained by cross cutting relationships and, where observed, multiple striations on a single fault plane and classified from the oldest to the younger. Data separation and inversion usingT-Tecto software with the Gauss inverse method revealed four different stress phases which are 3 strike-slip stress regimes and one compressional regime. The strike-slip regimes are characterized by σ1 trending NW-SE(43), NNE-SSW(18), ENE-WSW(76) and the compressional one by σ1 trending W-E(26). First, compression occurred parallel to the SMFZ supposedly during the Variscan period. Second, compression at an angle of 60° to general direction of the SMFZ yielded right-lateral movement along the fault zone. This is considered to have occurred during the late-Variscan and post-Variscan period. Third, compression in the W-E direction with almost vertical extension led to reverse movement along the fault zone. This is considered to have occurred during Cenozoic. Fourth, compression almost perpendicular to the SMFZ led to left-lateral transpression along the SMFZ. This is considered to have occurred during Quaternary.展开更多

The percentage of Ki67-positive cells was compared with the median number of mitotic figures per square millimeter. Both Ki67 positivity and the number of mitotic figures were found to be greater in high grade than in low grade lymphomas, although there was an overlap between the two grades of malignancy. A close correlation was found between the number of mitotic figures and the percentage of Ki67-positive cells not only in all lymphoma typo taken together (r_s= 0. 834 . P<0. 001). but also in B-cell lymphoma (r_s= 0. 8 1 P< 0. 001) and T-cell lymphoma (r_s = 0. 764. P<0. 00 1) taken seprately. Thus, both methods are useful for the estimation of proliferative activity. but each method has its advantages and disadvantages.展开更多

First Macherey thinks that the author must have left something unsaid in his text. The unsaid or the narrative rupture is responsible for the multiplicity of the voices in the text, enabling the text to exist. Most of all, Macherey argues that a text, embedded in History, is where the author represents ideology inaccurately. And it is from this inaccuracy where the narrative rupture emerges. At this point, Macherey is dialogically correlated with several major post-Marxists, such as Althusser, Eagleton, and Jameson. First, all three of them give their own definitions to ideology, and they all define the relationship between the text, ideology, and History in a similar fashion. For Althusser, ideology is men's imaginary relation to History and is insufficiently reflected in the text, which perfectly corresponds to Macherey's claim. For Eagleton, a text absorbs ideology and puts it into contradiction, establishing its relationship with History. As Eagleton himself has stated, his so-called "ideological contradiction" is tantamount to Macherey's so-called "narrative rupture." In Jameson's opinion, ideology is designed to repress social contradictions, and a text, a symbolic act, is supposed to offer imaginary solutions to them. Above all, they end up as the latent meanings of a text. As for History, it is the inaccessible Real. In speaking of "the latent meanings of a text," Jameson literally echoes Machery's said/unsaid model. Thus, we can confirm how Macherey is dialogically engaged with post-Marxism.展开更多

According to the results from Olympic Park, Beijing, Shandong Province, Gansu Province and Shanxi Province, we have generalized the method and procedure for inferring the discontinuity of electrical structures (DES) indicating a buried fault in urban areas from resistivity tomograms and its typical electrical features. In general, the layered feature of the electrical structure is first analyzed to preliminarily define whether or not a DES exists in the target area. Resistivity contours in resistivity tomograms are then analyzed from the deep to the shallow. If they extend upward from the deep to the shallow and shape into an integral dislocation, sharp flexure (convergence) or gradient zone, it is inferred that the DES exists, indicating a buried fault. Finally, horizontal tracing is be carried out to define the trend of the DES. The DES can be divided into three types-type AB, ABA and AC. In the present paper, the Zhangdian-Renhe fault system in Zibo city is used as an example to illustrate how to use the method to infer the location and spatial extension of a target fault. Geologic drilling holes are placed based on our research results, and the drilling logs testify that our results are correct. However, the method of this paper is not exclusive and inflexible. It is expected to provide reference and assistance for inferring the shallow buried faults in urban areas from resistivity tomograms in the future.展开更多
