A theoretical model is built to numerically analyze the effects of geometric parameters on the inlet mass flow rate of RSIs. The geometric parameters in question here encompass the aspect ratio of 2—4,the ramp angle of 6°—7°,the characteristic parameter of the throat of 0.20 —0.30,the ramp length of 939—1 337 mm,and the cone angle of 0° —3°. Simulation results demonstrate that the mass flow rate(MFR)is positively correlated with the aspect ratio, ramp angle, ramp length, and cone angle, and negatively correlated with characteristic parameter of the throat. Within the range of the geometric parameters considered, the RSI with the aspect ratio of 3,the ramp angle of 6°,the characteristic parameter of the throat of 0.20,the ramp length of 1 337 mm,and the cone angle of 3° obtains the largest MFR value of about 2.251 kg/s.展开更多

It was found that the batch bacteria used MT and metha- nol as carbon sources grew faster than those used trimethylamine. The enriched bacteria used MT and methanol as the carbon sources were respectively inoculated in different biotrickling filters. The biological conversion performance ot MT under anaerobic conditions was investigated in biotrickling filters. The results showed that the performance of the biotrickling filter inoculated with the bacteria enriched using MT was better than that inoculated with the bacteria en- riched using methanol. When the inlet concentration of MT was 0.005vo1% (50 ppm), the empty bed residence time was 50 s, pH value was 8.0, and the flow rate of the nutrient solution was 10 L/h, the removal efficiency of MT reached 95.3%. Adding methanol stimulated the growth of the biomass and the degradation of MT, but caused that some bacteria only degrading methanol outcompeted the bacteria only degrading MT. The concentration of sodium bicarbonate in the nutrient solution needed to be controlled lower than 30 g/L, otherwise, it would be harmful to the degradation of MT.展开更多

For thatpurpose boundary layer can be modified by perforated plates with holes of specific sizes. The questions whichrise in such configuration are related to the existence of optimal size of the holes and the influence of microscalephenomena on the global flow patterns. This paper concentrates on the issue of the entrance effects on the microchannelflow. It is shown that mass flow rate is only insignificantly influenced by slip effects. Global parameterssuch as pressure difference and geometrical shape in more pronounced way alter flow behavior. In this paper weconcentrate on the numerical investigation of the microchannel flow for Kn < 0.01 and Re < 500. The channellength is finite. Hence, entrance and outlet effects on microchannel flow can be studied.展开更多
