The risk-based ship design （RBD） methodology, advocating systematic integration of risk assessment within the conventional design process has started to takeoff. Despite this wide recognition and increasing popularity, important factors that could potentially undermine the quality of the results come from both quantitative and qualitative aspects during the risk assessment process. This paper details a promising solution by developing a formalized methodology for risk assessment through effective storing and processing of historical data combined with data generated through first-principle approaches. This method should help to generate appropriate risk models in the selected platform （Bayesian networks） which can be employed for decision making at design stare.展开更多

＂Rasi＂ （cassava-by product） instant cream soup is a processed food product that is made of a mixture of＂Rasi＂ flour, full cream milk powder, beef broth, and spices that are ready to be consumed after being brewe...＂Rasi＂ （cassava-by product） instant cream soup is a processed food product that is made of a mixture of＂Rasi＂ flour, full cream milk powder, beef broth, and spices that are ready to be consumed after being brewed with boiling water to become a thick solution. Complex bonding of fat in full cream milk powder and amylose in rasi flour causes the formation of a hydrophobic layer around granules, inhibiting water absorption during rehydration. The aim of experiment was to define the appropriate concentration of full cream milk powder, to be used in making ＂Rasi＂ instant cream soup with the best characteristic and the most preferable by panelist. The method used was experimental method with randomize block design with six treatments and four repetitions. The treatments on full cream milk concentration were A （12.5%）, B （15%）, C （17.5%）, D （20%）, E （22.5%） and F （25%）, respectively. ＂Rasi＂ instant cream soup with E treatment （22.5%） gives the best physical and chemical characteristics and organoleptics accepted by panelists, having an average value of rehydration 405, 16%, 575 cP viscocity, 4.74% water, 16.49% fat, 12.01% protein, average value of rendemen about 28.32% and panelist preference value of Rasi cream soup instan＇s colour, taste, flavor, and thickness after rehydration were accepted.展开更多

Consciousness means the ability to recognize that the design process is a ＂problem solving＂ activity and not an exercise of uncontrolled imagination. In architectural education, small structures are a common subject in American and European universities where the inductive teaching is practiced routinely. This teaching experiment is developed within a design studio course in the second year of an architecture degree course and regards design and construction of a small bridge l：l scale. The exercises focus on the role of structural behaviour within architectural design. The teaching method contributes to the perception of the great complexity of the design process, to the acquisition of an attitude of prudence in design choices and to attention to detail in the development of creativity.展开更多

The established hydrogen safety system includes the hydrogen supply system, hydrogen leakage detection system, alarm processing system, ventilation system, measures against electrostatic, thunder-arresting and explosion-protection, and the strict hydrogen operation rules. In this safety system, the explosion proof catalytic combustion sensors are used to detect the hydrogen leakage and the electrical control system is designed to process the alarm automatically. The hydrogen safety system plays an important role in the performance, examination of the FC and the assuring the personnel＇ s safety of the fuel cell power train lab.展开更多
