The sheets were fabricated in the laboratory, with gauge of 0.45 mm, H...The correlation between Si content (0.1%-0.5%, mass fraction) and pulse laser welding performance of AI-Mn-Mg aluminum alloy sheets was studied. The sheets were fabricated in the laboratory, with gauge of 0.45 mm, H16 temper by pulse laser welding. It was found that no cracking existed in the welding pool as Si content was below 0.34%. However, when the Si content increased to 0.47%, cracking formed in the welding pool. Microstructure observations indicated that residual eutectic phases distributed at the grain boundaries were discontinuous and appeared to be small particles in lower Si content alloys; the residual eutectic phases distributed at the grain boundaries were partially continuous and appeared to be films in higher Si content alloys. These phenomena could explain why Si content adversely affected the laser welding performance.展开更多
This paper analyzes how caregivers' narratives about pain and illness are constructed, and also what narrative identities are formed during the lengthy process of taking care of a woman with cerebral palsy, from the ...This paper analyzes how caregivers' narratives about pain and illness are constructed, and also what narrative identities are formed during the lengthy process of taking care of a woman with cerebral palsy, from the years of 1972 to 2014. Of particular interest is how these voices narrate feelings of struggle in order to cope with their own needs and the needs of a disabled woman. How this situation affected their way of living, their views about life through gender-sex, violent, discriminatory, psycho-social and cultural perspectives (Lamas, 2002)? This study also draws from Hydrn's ideas regarding narratives about illness to identify diverse forms to represent reality by means of creating affective bonds, including aspects such as plot, metaphors and the construction or reconstruction of the Self (1995; 1997), which can be related to the transformation of the narrative identity (Ricoeur, 1995; 1996) of each caregiver. This study aims to open other scenarios to establish public policies of support for caregivers and for the disabled, and to question the role that government and medical institutional have played in order to benefit the society as a whole.展开更多
A novel crosslinkable water/alcohol soluble conjugated polymer PFN-C containing oxetane groups and aminoalkyl groups in the side chains has been developed and used as highly efficient electron injection and transporti...A novel crosslinkable water/alcohol soluble conjugated polymer PFN-C containing oxetane groups and aminoalkyl groups in the side chains has been developed and used as highly efficient electron injection and transporting material for polymer light-emitting diodes (PLEDs). The unique solubility in polar solvents and crosslinkable ability of PFN-C render it a good can- didate for solution processed multilayer PLEDs. It was found that PFN-C can greatly enhance the electron injection from high work-function metal cathode, due to its pendant amino groups. As a result, PLEDs with PFN-C/Al cathode exhibited compara- ble device performance to the devices with Ba/Al cathode. The resulting green light-emitting device showed promising perfor- mance with a maximum luminance efficiency of 13.53 cd A-1.展开更多
