Gaussian process(GP)has fewer parameters,simple model and output of probabilistic sense,when compared with the methods such as support vector machines.Selection of the hyper-parameters is critical to the performance o...Gaussian process(GP)has fewer parameters,simple model and output of probabilistic sense,when compared with the methods such as support vector machines.Selection of the hyper-parameters is critical to the performance of Gaussian process model.However,the common-used algorithm has the disadvantages of difficult determination of iteration steps,over-dependence of optimization effect on initial values,and easily falling into local optimum.To solve this problem,a method combining the Gaussian process with memetic algorithm was proposed.Based on this method,memetic algorithm was used to search the optimal hyper parameters of Gaussian process regression(GPR)model in the training process and form MA-GPR algorithms,and then the model was used to predict and test the results.When used in the marine long-range precision strike system(LPSS)battle effectiveness evaluation,the proposed MA-GPR model significantly improved the prediction accuracy,compared with the conjugate gradient method and the genetic algorithm optimization process.展开更多

Aiming at t...Developing parallel applications on heterogeneous processors is facing the challenges of 'memory wall',due to limited capacity of local storage,limited bandwidth and long latency for memory access. Aiming at this problem,a parallelization approach was proposed with six memory optimization schemes for CG,four schemes of them aiming at all kinds of sparse matrix-vector multiplication (SPMV) operation. Conducted on IBM QS20,the parallelization approach can reach up to 21 and 133 times speedups with size A and B,respectively,compared with single power processor element. Finally,the conclusion is drawn that the peak bandwidth of memory access on Cell BE can be obtained in SPMV,simple computation is more efficient on heterogeneous processors and loop-unrolling can hide local storage access latency while executing scalar operation on SIMD cores.展开更多
In this investigation, based on previous measurements, the geometry and dynamic forces along an inclined (angle φ, with 0^0 〈 qφ φ 8^0 ) hydraulic jump over a variation of rough and smooth channel beds, are exam...In this investigation, based on previous measurements, the geometry and dynamic forces along an inclined (angle φ, with 0^0 〈 qφ φ 8^0 ) hydraulic jump over a variation of rough and smooth channel beds, are examined and compared among them. The roughness is produced through transverse strips (of square cross section) covering the entire channel width and at various normal distributions along the channel. Froude numbers are varying up to 18.5 and conjugate depths' ratios up to 18.4. The water free surface profiles, the conjugate depths' ratios, the jumps' dimensionless lengths are examined and a prediction of exercised forces, in dimensionless terms, is also presented. The results and especially the latter force prediction may help the hydraulic and structural engineers when dealing with such hydraulic jumps.展开更多
