Most edge-detection methods rely on calculating gradient derivatives of the potential field, a process that is easily affected by noise and is therefore of low stability. We propose a new edge-detection method named correlation coefficient of multidirectional standard deviations(CCMS) that is solely based on statistics. First, we prove the reliability of the proposed method using a single model and then a combination of models. The proposed method is evaluated by comparing the results with those obtained by other edge-detection methods. The CCMS method offers outstanding recognition, retains the sharpness of details, and has low sensitivity to noise. We also applied the CCMS method to Bouguer anomaly data of a potash deposit in Laos. The applicability of the CCMS method is shown by comparing the inferred tectonic framework to that inferred from remote sensing(RS) data. 展开更多

A workflow model of simulation modeling based on the virtual ship assembly process was also established; furthermore, a method of information transformation between the ship three-dimensional design and ship construction plan was formulated. To meet the requirements of information sharing between different systems in the ship virtual assembly, a simulation database was created by using the software engineering design method and the relational data model. With the application of this database, the information of ship three-dimensional design, construction planning, and virtual assembly can be integrated into one system. Subsequently, this new method was applied as a tool to simulate the virtual assembly of a ship, and the results guarantee its rationality and reliability. 展开更多

Organizations started to use electronic commerce by internet facilities nearby their traditional marketing methods to increase their sales and profits. E-Commerce has many advantages when compared to traditional trade. This paper aims to take out these advantages for the companies which want to make use of electronic commerce and includes important advices for these companies. The paper also includes the basic version of an e-commerce business, by analysing one of the most successful firms in Turkey, yemeksepeti.com in terms of an Entity-Relationship Diagram (ERD) and Event Driven Process (EDP) to explain the organizations how an e-commerce business model should be constructed systematically. An ERD is a data modeling technique which graphically illustrates an information system's entities and the relationships between those entities. On the other hand, EDP is a chain for the modeling language which is used for describing business processes and workflows of an organization. This study examines yemeksepeti.com for providing an example of these two diagrams, which should be a milestone for the newcomers of an e-commerce. Organizing an e-commerce should start with the software designs and these examples of ERD and EDP which are the base for the software of an e-commerce business. The limitations of the paper include the examination of an only one company which operates only in Turkey, thus the further research should examine a global company and/or an e-commerce business that operates in several industries. 展开更多

Hardgrove grindability index (HGI) is an important indicator of coal grindability, and is one of the most important parameters to determine the capacity of coal pulverizer in power station. However, HGI is an empirical grindability index without linkages to any known physical parameters. To investigate the effect of energy input on the grinding in Hardgrove mill. a T20WN torque meter was installed on the shaft of a modified Hardgrove mill to record the torque driving the mill. Samples from four kinds of coals with HGI ranging from 36 to 72 were prepared according to the procedure of standard HGI test and ground in a modified Hardgrove mill at different revolutions. The relation of sample size reduction degree to specific comminution energy (Ecs) was studied with Shi-Kojovic model, The results show that Shi-Kojovic model predicted well the coal size reduction degree with Ecs in Hardgrove mill. The griadability index given by Shi-Kojovic model has a similar trend with HGI. The relation of sample size reduction degree to Ecs reveals that HGI has a non-linear relationship with effective specific energy in Hardgrove mill, which explains the non-linear relation of HG1 to industrial pulverizer capacity. 展开更多

Real-time database systems contain not only transaction timing constraints, but also data timing constraints. This paper discusses the temporal characteristics of data in real-time databases and offers a definition of absolute and relative temporal consistency. In real-time database systems, it is often the case that the policies of transaction schedules only consider the deadline of real-time transactions, making it insufficient to ensure temporal correctness of transactions. A policy is given by considering both the deadlines of transactions and the “data deadline” to schedule real-time transactions. A real-time relational data model and a real-time relational algebra based on the characteristics of temporal data are also proposed. In this model, the temporal data has not only corresponding values, but also validity intervals corresponding to the data values. At the same time, this model is able to keep historical data values. When validity interval of a relation is [NOW, NOW], real-time relational algebra will transform to traditional relational algebra. 展开更多

To build an ISM of a production system, the partial correlation coefficient method is proposed to obtain the adjacency matrix, which can be transformed to ISM. According to estimation of correlation coefficient, the result can give actual variable correlations and eliminate effects of intermediate variables. Furthermore, this paper proposes an effective approach using ISM to analyze the main factors and basic mechanisms that affect the energy consumption in an ethylene production system. The case study shows that the proposed energy consumption analysis method is valid and efficient in improvement of energy efficiency in ethylene production. 展开更多

Quintessence field is a widely-studied candidate of dark energy. There is "tracker solution" in quintessence models, in which evolution of the field φ at present times is not sensitive to its initial conditions. When the energy density of dark energy is negleetable (Ωφ 〈〈 1), evolution of the tracker solution can be well analysed from "tracker equation". In this paper, we try to study evolution of the quintessence field from "full tracker equation", which is valid for all spans of Ωφ. We get stable fixed points of we and wφ (noted as wφ and Ωφ) from the "full tracker equation", i.e., we and ωφ will always approach ωφ and Ωφ respectively. Since wφ and Ωφ are analytic functions of φ, analytic relation of φ can be obtained, which is a good approximation for the we φ relation and can be obtained for the most type of quintessence potentials. By using this approximation, we find that inequalities ωφ 〈 we and 〈ωφ are statisfied if the we (or ωφ) decreases with time. In this way, the potentiai U(φ) can be constrained directly from observations, by no need of solving the equations of motion numerically. 展开更多

The porosity data that come from well log are only available at well points. It is necessary to use other method to estimate reservoir porosity.Seismic data contain abundant lithological information. Because there are inherent correlations between reservoir property and seismic data,it is possible to estimate reservoir porosity by using seismic data and attributes.Probabilistic neural network is a powerful tool to extract mathematical relation between two data sets. It has been used to extract the mathematical relation between porosity and seismic attributes. Firstly,a seismic impedance volume is calculated by seismic inversion. Secondly,several appropriate seismic attributes are extracted by using multi-regression analysis. Then a probabilistic neural network model is trained to obtain a mathematical relation between porosity and seismic attributes. Finally,this trained probabilistic neural network model is implemented to calculate a porosity data volume. This methodology could be utilized to find advantageous areas at the early stage of exploration. It is also helpful for the establishment of a reservoir model at the stage of reservoir development. 展开更多

The period of study data is from January 3, 2000 to June 30, 2008. This paper also utilizes Student's t distribution to analyze the proposed model. The empirical results show that the two stock markets are mutually affected each other, and the dynamic conditional correlation (DCC) and the bivariate asymmetric-GARCH (1, 2) model is appropriate in evaluating the relation between them. The empirical result also indicates that Italy and Germany's stock markets show a positive relationship. The average value of correlation coefficient equals to 0.8424, which implies that the two stock markets return volatility have a synchronized influence on each other. In addition, the empirical result also shows that there is an asymmetrical effect between Italy and the Germany's stock markets, and demonstrates that the good news and bad news of the stock returns' volatility will produce the different variation risks for Italy and the Germany's stock price markets. 展开更多

We propose a new Geographic Information System (GIS) three-dimensional (3D) data model based on conformal geometric algebra (CGA). In this approach, geographic objects of different dimensions are mapped to the corresponding basic elements (blades) in Clifford algebra, and the expressions of multi-dimensional objects are unified without losing their geometric meaning. Geometric and topologic computations are also processed in a clear and coordinates-free way. Under the CGA framework, basic geometrics are constructed and expressed by the inner and outer operators. This expression combined geometrics of different dimensions and metric relations. We present the structure of the framework, data structure design, and the data storage, editing and updating mechanisms of the proposed 3D GIS data model. 3D GIS geometric and topological analyses are performed by CGA metric, geometric and topological operators using an object-oriented approach. Demonstrations with 3D residence district data suggest that our 3D data model expresses effectively geometric objects in different dimensions, which supports computation of both geometric and topological relations. The clear and effective expression and computation structure has the potential to support complex 3D GIS analysis, and spatio-temporal analysis. 展开更多

With the rapid development of the marine economy,the demand for marine resources development and the pressure on marine environmental protection are gradually increasing.It is critical to evaluate and analyze the driving forces of marine sustainable development in order to promote the coordinated development of the marine economy,resources and environment.Taking Jiangsu Province of China as an example,this paper constructs an evaluation index system for marine sustainable development from the three aspects of marine economy,resources and environment,and calculates the weight of the variation coefficient for each indicator.Based on the grey relational model,the average value of the relational degree,calculated by the average value method of correlation coefficients and the weighting method,is then used to evaluate the status of marine sustainable development in this province.The comprehensive index model is used to analyze the dynamic trend of the evolution of marine sustainable development.The driving forces of marine sustainable development are analyzed by the path analysis method combined with the average values of the grey relational degree for each indicator.This analysis found that the marine sustainable development in 2016 and 2012 was good,the situation in 2007 was bad,and the remaining years were intermediate.Compared with the previous years,the optimal conditions of 2008 and 2012 were obvious.The main driving factors of marine sustainable development are cargo throughput of coastal ports,economic losses caused by storm surges in coastal areas,the area of marine nature reserves in coastal areas,coastal wind power generation capacity,and marine biodiversity. 展开更多

In view of the deviation of the fitting results of the classical exponential model and the hyperbolic model (the BB model) from several experiment data during intermediate stress period, a new constitutive model for the nonlinear normal deformation of rock joints under normal monotonous load is established with flexibility-deformation method. First of all, basic laws of the deformation of joints under normal monotonous load are discussed, based on which three basic conditions which the complete constitutive equation for rock joints under normal load should meet are put forward. The analysis of the modified normal con- stitutive model on stress-deformation curve shows that the general exponential model and the improved hyperbolic model are not complete in math theory. Flexibility-deformation monotone decreasing curve lying between flexibility-deformation curve of the classical exponential model and the BB model is chosen, which meets basic conditions of normal deformation mentioned before, then a new normal deformation constitutive model of rock joints containing three parameters is established. Two main forms of flexibility-deformation curve are analyzed and specific math formulas of the two forms are deduced. Then the range of the parameters in the g-δ model and the g-2 model and the correlative influence factor in geology are preliminarily discussed. Referring to different experiment data, the validating analysis of the g-δ model and the g-γ model shows that the g-2 model can be applied to both the mated joints and unmated joints. Besides, experiment data can be better fit with the g-2 model with respect to the BB model, the classical exponential model and the logarithm model. 展开更多
