To improve traffic performance when on-ramp vehicles merge into the mainstream,a collaborative merging control strategy is proposed to determine the merging sequence and trajectory control of vehicles.Merging trajecto...To improve traffic performance when on-ramp vehicles merge into the mainstream,a collaborative merging control strategy is proposed to determine the merging sequence and trajectory control of vehicles.Merging trajectory planning takes the minimization of vehicle acceleration as the optimization objective.Either the variational method or the quadratic programming method is utilized to determine arrival time,optimal time and control variables for each vehicle.As a supplement,the adaptive cruise control(ACC)model is used to calculate each control variable in each time interval on special occasions.Simulation results show that the cooperative merging control strategy outperforms the optimal control strategy.The root mean square(RMS)of acceleration and the root mean square error(RMSE)of time headway are significantly decreased,with the reductions up to 90.1%and 25.2%,respectively.Under the cooperative control strategy,the difference between the average speed and desired speed consistently approaches zero.In addition,few or no collisions occur.To conclude,the proposed strategy favours the improvements in passenger comfort,traffic efficiency,traffic stability and safety around highway on-ramps.展开更多

The first is that contemporary analytic philosophy is incoherent. This is so, I argue, because its methods contain as an essential constituent a non-classical conception of intuition that cannot be rendered consistent with a key tenet of analytic philosophy unless we allow a Bayesian-subjectivist epistemology. I argue for this within a discussion of two theories of intuition： a classical account as proposed by Descartes and a modem reliabilist account as proposed by Komblith, maintaining that reliabilist accounts require a commitment to Bayesian subjectivism about probability. However, and this is the second thesis, Bayesian subjecfivism is itself logically incoherent given three simple assumptions： （1） some empirical propositions are known, （2） any proposition that is known is assigned a degree of subjective credence of 1, and （3） every empirical proposition is evidentially relevant to at least one other proposition. I establish this using a formal reductio proof. I argue for the t-u-st thesis in section 1 and for the second in section 2. The final section contains a summary and conclusion.展开更多

Over the last two decades, food allergens are being recognized as one of the food hazards. This serious food safety issue is being addressed in different countries not only in terms of their biological and clinical ch...Over the last two decades, food allergens are being recognized as one of the food hazards. This serious food safety issue is being addressed in different countries not only in terms of their biological and clinical characteristics, but also in terms of various standards of allergen management in food industries. This abnormal immune response caused by food allergens affects the quality of life especially in children and influences their overall health and retards normal growth, along with they suffer from ailments like eating disorders, depression, sometimes even death which is the most adverse impact of food allergy. Every country has their own set of guidelines to deal with the food allergens especially developed countries, food allergen guidelines is not well documented in developing countries. FAO/WHO is providing assistance to developing countries in strengthening their food safety guidelines. The Codex Alimentarius was formulated by the two organizations FAO/WHO in the year 1960; it is a collection of food standards in a integrated, codified style, together with associated material such as codes of hygiene and good manufacturing practices that should be followed by industries during various production stages of a food item. In both developed and developing nations, the Food Chemical Codex or the Codex Alimentarius aims to protect public health and implement fair trade practises for the trading of food items.展开更多
