Various feeding practices have been implicated in the origin of IBD based on epidemiological observations in developed countries, but we do not have solid evidence for the etiological role played by specific food types. IBD is associated with frequent nutritional deficiencies, thepattern and severity of which depends on the extent, duration and activity of the inflammation. Nutritional support allows these deficiencies in calories, macro and micronutrients to be rectified. Enteral nutrition is also aprimary therapy for IBD, especially for Crohn's disease,as it allows the inflammatory activity to be controlled, kept in remission, and Drevents or delays the need forsurgery. Nutritional support is especially important in childhood IBD as an alternative to pharmacological treatment. This report discusses the complex relationship between diet and IBD.展开更多

Recent research suggests the nutritional and therapeutic significance of consumption for the control of free radicals [3], being an alternative food to reduce nutritional deficiencies of macro and micronutrients in the diet. The results show that the cheese made from a mixture of milk and Inca peanut (70:20 v/v) 0.15 M of Ca sulphate is of firm consistency, with a clotting time of 9 min and yields 14.56% at 80 ℃, is similar to fresh milk cheese sensory characteristics determined by the test of acceptability. Respect to nutrition cheeses present values of protein and fat (16.3% and, 25.05%, respectively). Sensory evaluation process cheese 70:30 v/v showed an acceptance of 67% relative to a commercial cheese. The texture profile of the finished product, applying a deformation of 30%, have hardness values for 1.88 N, elasticity 0.08, cohesiveness 0.86, adhesiveness 0.36, gumminess 1.62 and chewiness 0.13.展开更多

The above operation significantly reduced microbial contamination during tissue culture process. Different types and concentrations of hormones were added into the basic medium MS to screen the optimal formula for induced plantlet growth and rooting. It was found that 1/2MSCO was the best medium on which stem, leaves and roots of tissue culture plantlets of Huperzia serrata grew quickly. At the same time, sand planting was a convenient and effective approach for gemmae propagation of Huperzia serrata, the survival rate of seedlings germinated from gemmae was nearly 100%.展开更多

Principal component analysis was carried out to ordinate the fatty acid patterns of seston in stations and months. The results showed that diatoms were most abundant in the phytoplankton at station A5 (located in the northwest of the bay: 36~9'N, 120~20'E) and least abundant at station D7 (located outside of the bay: 35~59'N, 120~26'E). By contrast, dinoflagellates were most abundant at station D7 and least abundant at station A5. According to the annual variations of 16:1 (o7 and 18:4(o3/ 16:1(o7, diatoms flourished mainly in spring and summer, while dinoflagellates bloomed exclusively in summer. A distinctive feature of the fatty acid composition of C. sinicus was the prevalence of 20:5o3 and 22:6(o3. The higher content of 16:1(o7 over 18:4(o3 in females indicated that diatoms contributed more than dinoflagellates to the diet of C. sinicus. The feeding intensity of C. sinicus on diatoms was higher in spring and autumn than in other seasons. The herbivorous indicators 20:1 and 22:1 were comparatively low, suggesting that besides phytoplankton, C. sinicus might feed on a wider range of particles including organic detritus, bacteria and small copepods.展开更多
