Both the usage and information resources can be exploited to extract useful knowledge from the way users interact with a digital library. Through combination and mapping between the extracted knowledge and domain ontology, semantic content retrieval between queries and documents can be utilized. Furthermore, ontology-based conceptual vector of user preference can be applied in personalized recommendation feedback.展开更多

METHODS: Patients or relatives attending th...AIM: TO assess the gender preferences, specifically the gender of the nursing staff (endoscopy assistants) and the impact on acceptance for screening colonoscopy (SC). METHODS: Patients or relatives attending the clinics or health care workers working in a tertiary center were invited to participate in this questionnaire study. The questionnaire enquired on the general demographics (1) age, gender, ethnicity, education level, and employ- ment status, previous history of colonoscopy, family or personal history of colonic pathologies, personal and family history of any cancers; (2) subjects were asked if they would go for an SC if they had appropriate indi- cations (age over 50 years, family history of colorectal cancer (CRC), fecal occult blood positive, anemia espe- cially iron deficiency anemia, bleeding per rectum with or without loss of appetite, weight loss and abdominal pain) with and without symptoms attributable to CRC; and (3) preferences for the gender of the endoscopists and assistants and whether they would still undergo SC even if their preferences were not met. RESULTS: Eighty-four point seven percent (470/550) completed questionnaire were analysed. More female subjects expressed gender preferences for the endos- copists [overall 70%; female (67.7%) and male (2.3%)] compared to male subjects [overall 62.8%; male (56%) and female (6.8%), P = 0.102]. Similarly, more female subjects expressed gender preferences for the assis- tants [overall 74.5%; female (73.4%) and male (1.1%)] compared to male subjects [overall 58%, male (49.3%) and female (8.7%), P 〈 0.001]. Overall, a third would decline an SC, despite having appropriate indications, if their preferences were not met. On univariate analysis, male gender, non-Malay ethnicity (Chinese and others) and previous colonoscopy experience were more likely to undergo an SC, even if their preferences were not met (all P 〈 0.05). Gender and previous experience fodds ratio (OR) 1.68, 95% confidence interval (CI) 1.00-2.82, P 〈 0.05] with colonoscopy (OR 4.70, 95% CI 1.41-15.66, P 〈 0.05) remained significant on multi variate analysis. CONCLUSION: Genders preference for the endoscopy nurses/assistants is more common than for the endos- copist among women and has implications for the suc cess of a screening colonoscopy program.展开更多

Purpose of project is to set up procedure to determine Rn-220 concentration which has been carried out in laboratory using S...Thoron (Rn-220) is an invisible, odorless radioactive gas and nine times heavier than air. Purpose of project is to set up procedure to determine Rn-220 concentration which has been carried out in laboratory using Solid State Nuclear Track Detector (SSNTD) based passive detector technique. In this study, technical procedure has been applied in Karlsruhe diffusion chamber and LR-115, Type II strippable (Kodak Pathe, France) detector. The results have investigated how LR-115 work for Rn-220 by using Monazite ore to simultaneously measure Rn-222 and Rn-220. To carry out experiment, Karlsruhe diffusion chamber is used to with and without Poly-Ethylene (PE) membrane. Karlsruhe diffusion chamber with PE membrane only detect Rn-222, without PE membrane detect total Rn-222 and Rn-220. Precision evaluation by duplicate measure at 8 cm detector-source distance with relative standard deviation is less than 2.54%. Testing technical procedure, detectors have been sent to National Institute of Radiological Science (NIRS) for Rn-220 calibration exposure. After detectors have been calibration exposure at NIRS, it carried out all the following steps of procedure which set up at laboratory in 1NST, Vietnam. Finally, calibration factor calculated is 0.21 (tracks-cm2/Bq·m3·h) and constructed curve between integrated Tn-220 concentration and tracks density with factor R2 = 0.975.展开更多

Methods: Clinically, 30 ca...Purpose: In order to explore the clinical mechanism of Neiguan (PC 6) in the treatment of acute seizure of migraine and the relationship between Neiguan (PC 6) and cerebral blood flow. Methods: Clinically, 30 cases of the patients with acute seizure of migraine (ascending phase) were selected, in TCD abnormality, and divided randomly into the treatment group and control group, 15 cases in each group. In acute seizure of migraine, Neiguan (PC 6) was punctured with electric stimulation on the healthy side of the patients in the treatment group and Xuehai (SP 10) was punctured with electric stimulation on the healthy side of the patients in the control group. TCD was determined in the patients 30 min before and after the treatment. Results and conclusion: After transdermal electric stimulation on Neiguan (PC 6), the velocity of intracranial blood flow was obviously slowed down, indicating that transdermal electric stimulation on Neiguan (PC 6) can effectively relieve the spasm of intracranial blood vessels and also shows its relative specificity.展开更多
Polarized-light photodetectors are the indispensable elements for practical optical and optoelectronic device applications.Two-dimensional(2D)hybrid perovskite ferroelectrics,in which the coupling of spontaneous polar...Polarized-light photodetectors are the indispensable elements for practical optical and optoelectronic device applications.Two-dimensional(2D)hybrid perovskite ferroelectrics,in which the coupling of spontaneous polarization(P_(s))and light favors the dissociation of photo-induced carriers,have taken a booming position within this portfolio.However,polarized-light photodetectors with a low detectionlimit remain unexplored in this 2D ferroelectric family.In this work,the high-quality individual crystals of a 2D perovskite ferroelectric,BA_(2)CsPb_(2)Br_(7)(1,where BA^(+)is n-butylammonium),were used to fabricate ultrasensitive polarized-light detectors.Its unique bilayered structural motif results in quite strong electric and optical anisotropy with a large absorption ratio of a_(c)/α_(a)≈3.2(λ=405 nm).Besides,the presence of ferroelectric Psalso endows high built-in electric field along the polar c-axis that favors photoelectric activities.Under an extremely low detectable limit of 40 n W/cm^(2),the detector of 1 exhibits a notable dichroism ratio(I_(ph)^(c)/I_(ph)^(a)≈1.5),a large responsivity of~39.5 m A/W and a specific detectivity of~1.2×10^(12)Jones.Moreover,crystal-based devices of 1 also exhibit a fast response speed(~300μs)and excellent anti-fatigue merits.This work highlights great potentials of hybrid perovskite ferroelectrics toward polarized-light photodetection.展开更多
