In this paper,a multi-loop internal model control(IMC) scheme in conjunction with feed-forward strategy based on the dynamic partial least squares(DyPLS) framework is proposed.Unlike the traditional methods to decoupl...In this paper,a multi-loop internal model control(IMC) scheme in conjunction with feed-forward strategy based on the dynamic partial least squares(DyPLS) framework is proposed.Unlike the traditional methods to decouple multi-input multi-output(MIMO) systems,the DyPLS framework automatically decomposes the MIMO process into a multi-loop system in the PLS subspace in the modeling stage.The dynamic filters with identical structure are used to build the dynamic PLS model,which retains the orthogonality among the latent variables.To address the model mismatch problem,an off-line least squares method is applied to obtain a set of optimal filter parameters in each latent space.Without losing the merits of model-based control,a simple and easy-tuned IMC structure is readily carried over to the dynamic PLS control framework.In addition,by projecting the measurable disturbance into the latent subspace,a multi-loop feed-forward control is yielded to achieve better performance for disturbance rejection.Simulation results of a distillation column are used to further demonstrate this new strategy outperforms conventional control schemes in servo behavior and disturbance rejection.展开更多

METHODS: The ...AIM: To explore the feasibility of a water-jet hybrid knife to facilitate wedge hepatic resection using a natural orifice transluminal endoscopic surgery (NOTES) approach in a non-survival porcine model. METHODS: The Erbe Jet2 water-jet system allows a needleless, tissue-selective hydro-dissection with a pre-selected pressure. Using this system, wedge hepatic resection was performed through three natural routes (trans-anal, trans-vaginal and trans-umbilical) in three female pigs weighing 35 kg under general anesthesia. Entry into the peritoneal cavity was via a 15-mm incision using a hook knife. The targeted liver segment was marked by an APC probe, followed by wedge hepatic resection performed using a water-jet hybrid knife with the aid of a 4-mm transparent distance soft cap mounted onto the tip of the endoscope for holding up the desired plane. The exposed vascular and ductal structures were clipped with Endoclips. Hemostasis was applied to the bleeding cut edges of the liver parenchyma by electrocautery. After the procedure, the incision site was left open, and the animal was euthanized followed by necropsy. RESULTS: Using the Erbe Jet2 water-jet system, trans-anal and trans-vaginal wedge hepatic resection was successfully performed in two pigs without laparoscopic assistance. Trans-umbilical attempt failed due to an unstable operating platform. The incision for peritoneal entry took 1 min, and about 2 h was spent on excision of the liver tissue. The intra-operative blood loss ranged from 100 to 250 mL. Microscopically, the hydro-dissections were relatively precise and gentle, preserving most vessels. CONCLUSION: The Erbe Jet2 water-jet system can safely accomplish non-anatomic wedge hepatic resection in NOTES, which deserves further studies to shorten the dissection time.展开更多

Previ- ous solutions suffer from limitations in that: 1) some methods require modifying the source code of OS kernel and kernel modules, which is less practical for wide deployment; 2) other methods cannot well protect the kernel hooks and function return addresses inside kernel mo- dules whose memory locations cannot be pre- determined. To address these problems, we propose OPKH, an on-the-fly hook protection system based on the virtualization technology. Compared with previous solutions, OPKH off- ers the protected OS a fully transparent envi- ronment and an easy deployment. In general, the working procedure of OPKH can be di- vided into two steps. First, we utilise the me- mory virtualization for offiine profiling so that the dynamic hooks can be identified. Second, we exploit the online patching technique to in- strument the hooks for run-time protection. The experiments show that our system can pro- tect the dynamic hooks effectively with mini- mal performance overhead.展开更多

The IMC structure of the system is derived, and its robust stability and zero steady state error characteristics are analyzed. A new control algorithm is developed by adding the variation of the outputs to the index performance. The simulation results show that the method is effective and has zeros steady-state error.展开更多
