In this paper,a multi-loop internal model control(IMC) scheme in conjunction with feed-forward strategy based on the dynamic partial least squares(DyPLS) framework is proposed.Unlike the traditional methods to decoupl...In this paper,a multi-loop internal model control(IMC) scheme in conjunction with feed-forward strategy based on the dynamic partial least squares(DyPLS) framework is proposed.Unlike the traditional methods to decouple multi-input multi-output(MIMO) systems,the DyPLS framework automatically decomposes the MIMO process into a multi-loop system in the PLS subspace in the modeling stage.The dynamic filters with identical structure are used to build the dynamic PLS model,which retains the orthogonality among the latent variables.To address the model mismatch problem,an off-line least squares method is applied to obtain a set of optimal filter parameters in each latent space.Without losing the merits of model-based control,a simple and easy-tuned IMC structure is readily carried over to the dynamic PLS control framework.In addition,by projecting the measurable disturbance into the latent subspace,a multi-loop feed-forward control is yielded to achieve better performance for disturbance rejection.Simulation results of a distillation column are used to further demonstrate this new strategy outperforms conventional control schemes in servo behavior and disturbance rejection.展开更多
In order to solve the problem that the drivers can't find the optimal parking lot timely,a reservation based optimal parking lot recommendation model in Internet of Vehicle(IoV) environment is designed.Based on th...In order to solve the problem that the drivers can't find the optimal parking lot timely,a reservation based optimal parking lot recommendation model in Internet of Vehicle(IoV) environment is designed.Based on the users oriented parking information recommendation system,the model considers subjective demands of drivers comprehensively,makes a deeply analysis of the evaluation indicators.This recommendation model uses a phased selection method to calculate the optimal objective parking lot.The first stage is screening which based on the users' subjective parking demands;the second stage is processing the candidate parking lots through multiple attribute decision making.Simulation experiments show that this model can effectively solve the problems encountered in the process of finding optimal parking lot,save the driver's parking time and parking costs and also improve the overall utilization of parking facilities to ease the traffic congestion caused by vehicles parked patrol.展开更多

Special at-tention is paid to the specific receiver functions necessary to demodulate the received signal. To show the system performance we consider the design of a complete receiver consisting of timing recovery unit, frame synchronization unit, frequency recovery unit and phase recovery unit. The system is easier to hardware implementation comparing with that provided in (ETSI, 2005; Sun et al., 2004). After the performance of the algorithms is analyzed and a quantitative result is given, this allows us to draw conclusions concerning the achievable system performance under realistic complexity assumptions.展开更多

A plot of Ms versus λ was suggested to calculate the suitable tuning param...An IMC-PID controller was proposed for unstable second-order time delay system which shows the characteristics of inverse response(RHP zero). A plot of Ms versus λ was suggested to calculate the suitable tuning parameter λ, which provides a trade-off between performance and robustness. Six different forms of process models were selected from literature to show the applicability of the present method. Performance of controller was calculated by ITAE and total variation TV and compared with recently published tuning rules. Undesirable overshoot was removed by using a set-point weighting parameter. Robustness was tested by introducing a perturbation into the various model parameters and closed-loop results show that the designed controller is robust in the case of model uncertainty. The proposed method shows an overall better closed-loop response as compared to other recently reported methods.展开更多

ARX-PLS decoupling character enables to turn the multivariable model predictive control(MPC) controller design in original space into the multi-loop single input single output(SISO) MPC controllers design in latent space.An idea of iterative method is applied to decouple the constraints latent variables in PLS framework and recursive least square is introduced to identify ARX-PLS model. This algorithm is applied to a non-square simulation system and a stirred reactor for ethylene polymerizations comparing with adaptive internal model control(IMC) method based on ARX-PLS framework. Its application has shown that this method outperforms adaptive IMC method based on ARX-PLS framework to some extent.展开更多
In this study,a 3D virtual reality and visualization engine for rendering the ocean,named VV-Ocean,is designed for marine applications.The design goals of VV-Ocean aim at high fidelity simulation of ocean environment,...In this study,a 3D virtual reality and visualization engine for rendering the ocean,named VV-Ocean,is designed for marine applications.The design goals of VV-Ocean aim at high fidelity simulation of ocean environment,visualization of massive and multidimensional marine data,and imitation of marine lives.VV-Ocean is composed of five modules,i.e.memory management module,resources management module,scene management module,rendering process management module and interaction management module.There are three core functions in VV-Ocean:reconstructing vivid virtual ocean scenes,visualizing real data dynamically in real time,imitating and simulating marine lives intuitively.Based on VV-Ocean,we establish a sea-land integration platform which can reproduce drifting and diffusion processes of oil spilling from sea bottom to surface.Environment factors such as ocean current and wind field have been considered in this simulation.On this platform oil spilling process can be abstracted as movements of abundant oil particles.The result shows that oil particles blend with water well and the platform meets the requirement for real-time and interactive rendering.VV-Ocean can be widely used in ocean applications such as demonstrating marine operations,facilitating maritime communications,developing ocean games,reducing marine hazards,forecasting the weather over oceans,serving marine tourism,and so on.Finally,further technological improvements of VV-Ocean are discussed.展开更多

This paper introduces indoor inspection helicopter system with only inspection camera and prism for position sensing as payload. The control system is designed to help the operator of the inspection system to control the helicopter to designated position without much practice. The disturbances ...This paper investigates the problem of global disturbance rejection for a class of switched nonlinear systems where the solvability of the disturbance rejection problem for subsystems is not assumed. The disturbances are assumed to be sinusoidal with completely unknown frequencies, phases and amplitudes. First, as an extension of the classic concept of internal model for non-switched systems, a switched internal model is proposed. Second, in order to solve the problem under study, an adaptive control method is established on the basis of the multiple Lyapunov functions method. Also,adaptive state-feedback controllers of subsystems are designed and incorporated with a switching law to asymptotically reject the unknown disturbances. Finally, an example is provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed design method.展开更多
