Aiming at localizing the telemetric capsule for detecting gastrointestinal physiological parameters in vivo accurately,a portable alternating current(AC)electromagnetic localization system is designed.To verify the fe...Aiming at localizing the telemetric capsule for detecting gastrointestinal physiological parameters in vivo accurately,a portable alternating current(AC)electromagnetic localization system is designed.To verify the feasibility of the method,the model and construction of the localization system are detailed.And static and dynamic accuracy of the localization system are tested by experiments.Next,we compare the simulating results of the electromagnetic radiation aroused by the localization system with the electromagnetic safety standards of human(ICNIRP guidelines and IEEE standard C95.1-1991).Finally,in terms of the results of the static and dynamic experiments,conclusions are drawn that the accuracy of portable positioning system is high(less than 10 mm)enough to satisfy the localization need of the micro invasive medical devices in vivo,and there is no harm of electromagnetic radiation to human.展开更多

Background:Studies have shown that for every 100 hospitalized patients at any given time,10 in developing,and 7 in the developed countries would eventually develop at least one episode of healthcare associated infecti...Background:Studies have shown that for every 100 hospitalized patients at any given time,10 in developing,and 7 in the developed countries would eventually develop at least one episode of healthcare associated infections.This highlights the imperativeness of adherence to Universal Precautions(Ups)for prevention of infections.Proper compliance with standard would lead to a decrease in rate of HAI.Aim:The aim of the study is to determine the perception of nurses toward compliance with universal precautions in Aseer region hospitals,Saudi Arabia and factors that may hinder the nurses from complying with those standards.Methods:A cross sectional study was performed.Data collected using validated questionnaire of universal precautions from convenience sample of 302 respondents’nurses across four public hospitals in Aseer region.Analysis was performed through descriptive statistics and chi square tests of association.Results:The overall compliance toward universal precautions among nurses was high at 88%.The results reveal that all constructs that define the actions of the nurses to have a statistically significant association at 99%with the extent to which nurses utilized the universal precautions.Discussion:The results indicate that nursing staff adhere to the universal precautions for prevention of infection.However,the hospitals should solve the main barriers including lack of personal protective clothing,challenges during emergencies,and lack of training on how to use.展开更多

It allows the visual and interactive transmission of information related to th...A virtual reality model was created in order to help in the maintenance of exterior closures and interior finishes of walls in a building. It allows the visual and interactive transmission of information related to the physical behavior of the elements, defined as a function of the time variable. To this end, the basic knowledge of material most often used in walls, anomaly surveillance, techniques of rehabilitation, and inspection planning were studied. This information was included in a database that supports the periodic inspection needed in a program of preventive maintenance. The results are obtained interactively and visualized in the virtual environment itself. This work brings an innovative contribution to the field of maintenance supported by emergent technology.展开更多
The regulation of the National Significant Seismic Monitoring and Protection Regions(NSSMPR for short) is defined by the Law of the Peoples Republic of China on Protecting Against and Mitigating Earthquake Disasters.T...The regulation of the National Significant Seismic Monitoring and Protection Regions(NSSMPR for short) is defined by the Law of the Peoples Republic of China on Protecting Against and Mitigating Earthquake Disasters.The first stage of implementation of the regulation of NSSMPR in the Chinese mainland was finished from 1996 to 2005.The second stage is being carried on from 2006 to 2020.With the support of the National Social Science Foundation,this paper follows up and evaluates the implementation of the regulation of NSSMPR from 1996 to 2012 in the Chinese mainland.Based on analysis of earthquake examples and investigation data,we find that the effect of disaster mitigation is good,and on this basis,some suggestions are proposed to improve the regulation of NSSMPR.展开更多
