The objectives of the study were to select suitable wavebands for rice leaf area index (LAI) estimation using the data acquired over a whole growing season, and to test the efficiency of the selected wavebands by comparing them with feature positions of rice canopy spectra. In this study, the field experiment in 2002 growing season was conducted at the experimental farm of Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China. Measurements of hyperspectral reflectance (350-2500 nm) and corresponding LAI were made for a paddy rice canopy throughout the growing season. And three methods were employed to identify the optimal wavebands for paddy rice LAI estimation: correlation coefficient-based method, vegetation index-based method, and stepwise regression method. This research selected 15 wavebands in the region of 350-2500 nm, which appeared to be the optimal wavebands for the paddy rice LAI estimation. Of the selected wavebands, the most frequently occurring wavebands were centered around 554, 675, 723, and 1633 rim. They were followed by 444, 524, 576, 594, 804, 849, 974, 1074, 1219, 1510, and 2194 rim. Most of them made physical sense and had their counterparts in spectral known feature positions, which indicates the promising potential of the 15 selected wavebands for the retrieval of paddy rice LAI. 展开更多

基于YOLOv5改进的CBAM平贝母检测模型

目前的平贝母种植阶段中,覆土仍然依靠人工,这存在耗时、耗力、成本高等问题。故需要研制一款智能化的平贝母覆土机器,而实现智能化的第一步在于实现识别。以YOLOv5系列为基础训练出一系列模型,在其系列中挑出最优模型(YOLOv5s)进行改进... 目前的平贝母种植阶段中,覆土仍然依靠人工,这存在耗时、耗力、成本高等问题。故需要研制一款智能化的平贝母覆土机器,而实现智能化的第一步在于实现识别。以YOLOv5系列为基础训练出一系列模型,在其系列中挑出最优模型(YOLOv5s)进行改进;进而在骨干段加入CBAM注意力机制替换其C3结合,从而减少网络序列长度,减少计算复杂度。试验结果表明,改进后模型的准确度最高可达91.32%,召回率最高可达88.78%。本文模型的提出为下一步实现平贝母覆土机智能控制提供理论参考。 展开更多

Farmers may not be conscious for their farmland's nutrients, soil organic matter, water and air because they simply concerned only for their labor availability and soil fertility losses. The composition and proportion of these components greatly influence soil physical properties, including texture, structure and porosity, the fraction of pore space in a soil. The soil of this farmland must be able to supply adequate amount of plant nutrients, in forms which can be absorbed by the crop, within its lifespan. Deficiencies or imbalances in the supply of any of essential elements can compromise growth, affecting root development, cell division, crop quality, crop yield and resistance to disease and drought. This study was conducted to fill this knowledge gap in order to develop economically vital and environmentally accepted nutrient management strategies for the use of soils in agricultural lands. The objective of this study is to assess the elemental contents and concentration of soil samples collected from farmlands of "Yebrage" using neutron activation analysis (NAA) techniques regardless of oxidation state, chemical form or physical locations. NAA is used to determine the elemental composition and concentrations present in a soil. The macro/micronutrient and organic matter deficiencies have been verified in agricultural soils through increased use of soil testing and plant analysis. The challenge for agriculture over the coming decades will meet the world's increasing demands for food in a sustainable way. Current issues and future challenges point out that as long as agriculture remains a soil based industry, major decreases in productivity likely to be attained ensuring that plants do not have adequate and balanced supply of nutrients. 展开更多

Its demand in the global market has increased in recent times. Many scholars have opined that the development of this root crop will boost rural economy especially in developing economies. This study investigates the production of cassava in Nigeria using different mechanization levels, which include: Hand Tools Technology (HTT), Draught Animal Technology (DAT) and Engine Powered Technology (EPT). These levels are classified into, low level mechanization, fair level mechanization and high level mechanization. The results show that the level of mechanization was high, only in land preparation while spraying, stem-cutting and weeding have low mechanization level. This shows that there are many unacceptable machines and suggests that efforts should be made to encourage cassava production considering the high economic, social and medical importance. 展开更多
