巴塞罗那馆是现代建筑中的经典作品之一。人们一直津津乐道其空间的流动和形式的抽象,却很少注意到它与上述特质对立的另一种特质,即那种贯穿密斯一生建构探索的、以"清晰的建造"为终极目标,以匀质网格为本质特征的"几... 巴塞罗那馆是现代建筑中的经典作品之一。人们一直津津乐道其空间的流动和形式的抽象,却很少注意到它与上述特质对立的另一种特质,即那种贯穿密斯一生建构探索的、以"清晰的建造"为终极目标,以匀质网格为本质特征的"几何建构"法则。作者通过对德国馆的深入剖解,试图将这种特质揭示和呈现出来。但在德国馆中,这种特质却在很大程度上被抽象形式挫败,这归根结底源于两者间不可调和的矛盾,正是这种矛盾促使密斯在日后的建构生涯中逐渐放弃了抽象形式转而走上了一条"匀质建构"之路。 展开更多

This study presents a reliable method for the semi-automatic generation of an FE model, which determines both geometrical data and bone properties from patient CT scans.3D FE analysis is one of the best approaches to predict the stress and strain distribution in complex bone structures, but its accuracy strongly depends on the precision of input information. In geometric reconstruction, various methods of image processing, geometric modeling and finite element analysis are combined and extended. Emphasis is given to the assignment of the material properties based on the density values computed from CT data. Through this technique, the model with high geometric and material similarities were generated in an easy way. Consequently, the patient-specific FE model from mandible CT data is realized also. 展开更多

Columnar jointed rock mass with unique geometric and geological properties is one spectacular example of geometrical order in nature.Columnar joints are generally accepted to be formed by spatially uniform volume contraction during cooling.In this paper,substantial field work was performed to study the geological characteristics of irregular columnar jointed basalt on the left bank dam foundation in the Baihetan Hydropower Station,where the columnar jointed rock mass is extensively exposed due to excavation.The quantitative measurements of the sizing of polygonal crack pattern of columnar joints and assessment of their degree of irregularity were summarized.Considering the irregularity of polygonal crack pattern,a modified Voronoi polygon(MVP)method was developed to model the special polygonal crack pattern of columnar joints.The new polygonal pattern obtained by the MVP method consists of a large number of irregular polygons,of which the degree of irregularity is consistent with the field measurement results.This method can reproduce the rapid evolution from an initial ideal regular hexagonal pattern to a final actual irregular polygonal pattern as the degree of irregularity increases.The compression tests of columnar jointed rock mass with different irregularity show that the geometric irregularity has a great influence on its mechanical properties.This numerical construction method provides a reliable way to reconstruct columnar joint structure with specific polygonal crack pattern,which is consistent with onsite columnar jointed basalt. 展开更多

The easily-acquired image sequences from digital video camera on helicopter are used as texture resource, and the correspondence between the space edge in building geometry model and its line feature in image sequences is determined semi-automatically. The experimental results in production of three-dimensional data for car navigation show us an attractive future both in efficiency and effect. 展开更多
