复杂网络已被广泛应用于探究复杂系统的规律.文章使用分位图方法,分别将中国市场的上证指数、深证成指、中国香港恒生指数和美国市场的纳斯达克指数、道琼斯工业指数和标准普尔指数六支股指日收盘价序列映射到复杂网络,对股指分位图的... 复杂网络已被广泛应用于探究复杂系统的规律.文章使用分位图方法,分别将中国市场的上证指数、深证成指、中国香港恒生指数和美国市场的纳斯达克指数、道琼斯工业指数和标准普尔指数六支股指日收盘价序列映射到复杂网络,对股指分位图的特性进行分析,探究这两个的股票市场网络结构的变化.结果表明,首先同一市场的股指序列分位图网络特性较为接近,而不同市场之间的差别较大;其次,中国的上证指数和深证成指具有长程相关性,中国香港恒生指数较为随机,而美国市场的三支股指序列偏反长程相关;最后,两个市场的分位图网络存在不同的社团结构.该方法从宏观的角度揭示不同地区股票市场的性质和潜在动力学行为,并且可以为股指趋势预测提供丰富的信息. 展开更多

The ast ( anthocyanin spotted testa) mutant, which was induced by carbon ion radiation, was a single recessive gene mutant of Arabidopsis thaliana (L.) Heynh. with spotted pigment in seed coats, and involved in the anthocyanin biosynthesis. To clone the AST gene by map-based cloning strategy, a series of molecular markers were designed according to the SNPs (single nucleotide polymophisms) and insertion/deletion polymophisms in the Arabidopsis database. With these molecular markers, the fine-structure mapping of the AST gene was finished, the AST locus was located in BAC clone T13M11. It was suggested that the AST candidate gene was T13M11. 8 in the T13M11 This gene was 1432 bp long with 6 exons and 5 introns. The putative protein of T13M11. 8 gene was similar to dihydroflavonol 4-reductase (DFR), which was an important enzyme in the anthocyanin biosynthesis pathway. 展开更多

To address the problem that a general augmented state Kalman filter or a two-stage Kalman filter cannot achieve satisfactory positioning performance when facing uncertain noise of the micro-electro-mechanical system(MEMS) inertial sensors, a novel interacting multiple model-based two-stage Kalman filter(IMM-TSKF) is proposed to adapt to the uncertain inertial sensor noise. Three bias filters are developed based on different noise characteristics to cover a wide range of noise levels. Then, an accurate estimation of biases is calculated by the interacting multiple model algorithm to correct the bias-free filter. Thus, the vehicle positioning system can achieve good performance when suffering from uncertain inertial sensor noise. The experimental results indicate that the average position error of the proposed IMMTSKF is 25% lower than that of the general TSKF. 展开更多

Iris image segmentation is very important for an iris recognition system.There are always iris noises as eyelash,eyelid,reflection and pupil in iris images.The paper proposes a virtual method of segmentation.By locating and normalizing iris images with Gabor filter,we can acquire information of image texture in a series of frequencies and orientations.Iris noise regions are determined based on phase congruency by a group of Gabor filters whose kernels are suitable for edge detection.These regions are filled according to the characteristics of iris noise.The experimental results show that the proposed method can segment iris images effectively. 展开更多

In recent years, with the rapid development of molecular biology, molecular markers have been widely used in genetic breeding of various crops including cowpea. However, molecular researches in cowpea are lack of systematic summary. This review presents an overview of accomplishments on different aspects of molecular markers in cowpea genetic breeding, such as genetic diversity analysis, genetic linkage map construction, QTL mapping, etc. Furthermore, it provides the discussion of some existing problems about molecular markers applied in cowpea breeding and the prospect of the future development. The authors find that SSR is the most frequently used molecular marker, while SNP has not been used in the genetic diversity analysis of cowpea. And the authors also conclude that more QTL of cowpea should be located and more molecular markers linked to resistance gene should be found. This will be useful for scientists and breeders to research cowpea with the aid of molecular markers, thus accelerating improvement of cowpea varieties. 展开更多

Automatic kidney segmentation from abdominal CT images is a key step in computer-aided diagnosis for kidney CT as well as computeraided surgery. However, kidney segmentation from CT images is generally performed manually or semi-autornatically because of gray levels similarities of adjacent organs/tissues in abdominal CT images. This paper presents an efficient algorithm for segmenting kidney from serials of abdominal CT images. First, we extracted estimated kidney position (EKP) according to the statistical geometric location of kidney within the abdomen. Second, we analyzed the intensity distribution of EKP for several abdominal CT images and exploit an adaptive threshold searching algorithm to eliminate many other organs/tissues in the EKP. Finally, a novel region growing approach based on labeling is used to obtain the fine kidney regions. Experimental results are comparable to those of manual tracing radiologist and shown to be efficient. 展开更多

Event-related potentials (ERP) is an important type of brain dynamics in human cognition research. However, ERP is often submerged by the spontaneous brain activity EEG, for its relatively tiny scale. Further more, the brain activities collected from scalp electrodes are often inevitably contaminated by several kinds of artifacts, such as blinks, eye movements, muscle noise and power line interference. A new approach to correct these disturbances is presented using independent component analysis (ICA). This technique can effectively detect and extract ERP components from the measured electrodes recordings even if they are heavily contaminated. The results compare favorably to those obtained by parametric modeling. Besides, auto-adaptive projection of decomposed results to ERP components was also given. Through experiments, ICA proves to be highly capable of ERP extraction and S/N ratio improving. 展开更多

When studying the dam-break flow phenomenon,the basic hydrodynamic features of the dam-break flow at the gate location should be verified primarily.In this study,laboratory experiments were performed in a rectangular and horizontal flume with the same initial water head setting on the dry and wet downstream bed conditions.Water surface elevation was extracted through image analysis and validated by comparing with the data measured using a wave gauge.Temporal variation of the water surface elevation at the gate location,quantified in terms of high-speed video recorded images,can be divided into three stages,the sharp decreasing stage,the relatively steady stage,and the gradually decreasing stage.Applicability of several classic analytical solutions of the dam-break problem at the gate location was validated using present experimental data.Ritter's solution is effective for the dry bed condition while Stoker's solution could be applied to the wet bed case,and both are only applicable during the steady stage.Lin' solution reproduces the gate-site hydrographs well during both the relatively steady and the gradually decreasing stages,especially for the condition under which the down-upstream water depth ratio is smaller than 0.138. 展开更多

In this paper,a novel bit-level image encryption method based on dynamic grouping is proposed.In the proposed method,the plain-image is divided into several groups randomly,then permutation-diffusion process on bit level is carried out.The keystream generated by logistic map is related to the plain-image,which confuses the relationship between the plain-image and the cipher-image.The computer simulation results of statistical analysis,information entropy analysis and sensitivity analysis show that the proposed encryption method is secure and reliable enough to be used for communication application. 展开更多

The spatial distribution and characterization of a heavily damaged area can be determined by studying surface ruptures of seismogenic faults.If the distribution of surface ruptures can be obtained shortly after they occur,then areas heavily damaged by an earthquake can be readily identified.The information can then be used as a guide for earthquake relief programs.In this paper,an intensity offset-tracking method applied to an ALOS PALSAR image is used to map the Yushu earthquake rupture and to identify the faults activated by the earthquake.Azimuthal displacement analysis indicates that the surface rupture is about 55 km long,running from the epicenter to the southeast,trending N310°W,with a relative displacement of~1 m characterized by sinistral slip.The result of range displacement observations indicates that the north wall of the fault is dominated by decreases(i.e.,uplift in line of sight observations) ,whereas in the south wall of the fault,the range displacement is dominated by increases(drops in line of sight observations) .Given the position from which the images were recorded,this means that the north wall moves westward,and the south wall move eastward,i.e.,left-lateral slip motion across the fault.Finally,an earthquake disaster assessment using computer-assisted image analysis software shows that buildings near the fault rupture have been destroyed most heavily;therefore,the shape of the heavily damage belt is controlled partially by the fault rupture's geometry and the damage degree relates to the magnitude of displacement field. 展开更多

Analysis of forest canopy hemisphere images is one of the most important methods for measuring forest canopy structure parameters. In this study, our main focus was on using circular image region segmentation, which is the basis of forest canopy hemispherical photography. The boundary of a forest canopy hemisphere image was analyzed via histogram, rectangle, and Fourier descriptors. The image boundary characteristics were defined and obtained based on the following:(1) an edge model that contains three parts, i.e., step, ramp, and roof;(2) boundary points of discontinuity;(3) an edge that has a linear distribution of scattering points. On this basis, we proposed a segmentation method for the circular region in a forest canopy hemisphere image, fitting the circular boundary and computing the center and radius by the least squares method. The method was unrelated to the parameters of the image acquisition device. Hence, this study lays a foundation for automatically adjusting the parameters of high-performance image acquisition devices used in forest canopy hemispherical photography. 展开更多
