The cutting tests of granite block were conducted on a multifunctional testing device by using the cutter at three kinds of negative fore angles of 30°, 45° and 60°. The results show that, when the edge of the PDC layer is broken, the layer of tungsten cobalt is broken a little under the angle of 30°, while the layer of tungsten cobalt is broken continuously under the angle of 60°, their maximum depths are about 2 and 7 mm respectively in the two cases. The eccentric distance mainly depends on the negative fore angle of the cutter. When the cutter thrusts into the rock under an attack angle of 60°, the energy of bending waves reaches the maximum since the eccentric distance is the maximum. So the damage of cutter is the most serious. This test result is consistent with the conclusion of theoretical analysis well. The eccentric distance from the axial line of cutter to the point of action between the rock and cutter has great effect on the breakage of the cutter. Thus during the process of cutting, the eccentric distance should be reduced to improve the service life of PDC cutters.展开更多

With the fast increasing requirements of Mobile Internet services, the Internet and Mobile Networks go to the convergence. Mobile Networks can also get benefits from the SDN evolution to fulfill the 5th Generation (5G) capacity booming. The article implements SDN into Frameless Network Architecture (FNA) for 5G Mobile Network evolution with proposed Mobile-oriented OpenFlow Protocol (MOFP). The Control Plane/User Plane (CP/UP) separation and adaptation strategy is proposed to support the User-Centric scenario in FNA. The traditional Base Station is separated with Central Processing Entity (CPE) and Antenna Element (AE) to perform the OpenFlow and Network Virtualization. The AEs are released as new resources for serving users. The mobile-oriented Service Slicing with different Quality of Service (QoS) classification is proposed and Resource Pooling based Virtualized Radio Resource Management (VRRM) is optimized for the Service Slicing strategy with resource-limited feature in Mobile Networks. The capacity gains are provided to show the merits of SDN based FNA. And the MiniNet based Trial Network with Service Slicing is implemented with experimental results.展开更多

Traditionally, image data collected are photo-sensitive which suffered seriously from the light reflectivity from surface and color patterns on fabrics. The data used in the article were surface profile in gray level format. In this study, the background approximation by wavelet analysis approach was introduced. The original image was orthogonally decomposed and represented by sets of wavelet coefficients. The approximation coefficients were extracted at various levels and reconstructed to form a background. The results demonstrated a very effective segmentation in all tested fabrics.展开更多
