Ground roll is an interference wave that severely degrades the signal-to-noise ratio of seismic data and affects its subsequent processing and interpretation.In this study,according to differences in morphological cha...Ground roll is an interference wave that severely degrades the signal-to-noise ratio of seismic data and affects its subsequent processing and interpretation.In this study,according to differences in morphological characteristics between ground roll and reflected waves,we use morphological component analysis based on two-dimensional dictionaries to separate ground roll and reflected waves.Because ground roll is characterized by lowfrequency,low-velocity,and dispersion,we select two-dimensional undecimated discrete wavelet transform as a sparse representation dictionary of ground roll.Because of a strong local correlation of the reflected wave,we select two-dimensional local discrete cosine transform as the sparse representation dictionary of reflected waves.A sparse representation model of seismic data is constructed based on a two-dimensional joint dictionary then a block coordinate relaxation algorithm is used to solve the model and decompose seismic record into reflected wave part and ground roll part.The good effects for the synthetic seismic data and application of real seismic data indicate that when using the model,strong-energy ground roll is considerably suppressed and the waveform of the reflected wave is effectively protected.展开更多

METHODS: In a pilot study of 10 children wit...AIM: To determine the effects of pentoxifylline (PTX) on clinical manifestations and evaluate arterial blood gas data in hepatopulmonary syndrome (HPS) in chil- dren. METHODS: In a pilot study of 10 children with chronic liver disease, who had HPS, 20 mg/kg/d PTX was ad- ministered for 3 mo. Clinical data and arterial blood gas parameters were evaluated at baseline, the end of the treatment period, and 3 mo after drug discontinuation. RESULTS: Six patients could tolerate PTX, while four patients experienced complications, Among patients who could tolerate PTX, there was a significant increase in arterial oxygen pressure (PaO2) (P = 0,02) and oxy- gen saturation (Sa02) (P = 0.04) and alveolar-arterial oxygen gradient (P = 0.02) after 3 mo of treatment. Significant decreases in Pa02 (P = 0.02) and alveolararterial oxygen gradient (P = 0.02) were also seen after drug discontinuation. CONCLUSION: PTX may improve PaO2, Sa02 and alve- olar-arterial oxygen gradient in the early stage of HPS.展开更多

A number of analytical theories on active earth pressure were presented. Yet, there are limited studies on comparison between the theories. In this work, comparison between the theories with finite element analysis is done using the PLAXIS software. The comparative results show that in terms of distribution and magnitude of active earth pressure, RANKINE's theory possesses the highest match to the PLAXIS analysis. Parametric studies were also done to study the responses of active earth pressure distribution to varying parameters Increasing soil friction angle and wall friction causes decrease in active earth pressure. In contrast, active earth pressure increases with increasing soil unit weight and height of wall. RANK/NE's theory has the highest compatibility to finite element analysis among all theories, and utilization of this theory leads to proficient retaining wall design.展开更多

Based on the existing material properties, the mechanical behaviors of the ECC columns, ECC/RC composite columns and RC columns were numerically studied under combined vertical and horizontal loading with the software of ATENA. Then, the failure mechanism of ECC columns and ECC/RC composite columns were comprehensively studied and compared with that of the RC columns. Then, the effects of the height of the ECC, the axial compression ratio, and the transverse reinforcement ratio on the mechanical behaviors of the composite or the ECC column are studied. The calculation results show that the ultimate load capacity, ductility and crack resistance of the ECC or ECC/RC composite columns are superior to those of the RC columns. The ECC/RC composite column with a height of the ECC layer of 1.2h ( h is the height of the cross section) can achieve similar mechanical properties of a full ECC column. With high shear strength, ECC can undertake the shear force and significantly reduce the amount of stirrups, avoiding construction issues and promoting its engineering application.展开更多

This results in significant shear lag effect to cause nonuniform stress distribution along the flanges of the beam of bridge. This paper reports study on the shear lag effect of the Lanzhou Xiaoxihu Yellow River Bridge. A 3D finite element model of the bridge was developed and finite element analysis (FEA) was done to obtain the theoretical results. To evaluate the theoretical results, a scaled model was made to conduct static test in laboratory. The experiment results accorded with the results obtained by FEA. It is proved that FEA is an effective method to predict shear lag effect of bridges of this type.展开更多

In the paper, based on the actual data of the exploration about the gob area of Zaibo coalmine and the built project of the freeway,the variety rule of the coal beds below the freeway was studied by using of FEM during the process of coal mining. The statuses of the stresses and strains,the varieties of the plastic area were simulated in the whole rock mass. The characters of stresses and deformation of the gob area of the coalmine were analyzed and evaluated after the freeway built. The long-term stability of the gob area was pre- dicted. The deformation of the gob area under the freeway has not been finished, and the relative measures must be taken.展开更多

T...The principle and characteristics of hydrostatic gas lubricated non-contacting mechanical seal (HSGLNMS) are introduced. The flow field of the gas film is established by numerical analysis of end faces of HSGLNMS. The distribution of gas film pressure and seal performance parameters inclu- ding opening force and leakage are obtained. Influence of operating parameters and sealing configu- ration on the sealing performance is studied. HSGLNMS has been designed and manufactured. Its working film thickness and leakage are measured to verify the theoretical analysis. The investigation results show that HSGLNMS demonstrates good speed adaptability, which means that the seal runs successfully with both low and high speed, showing excellent performance. The seal can be regula- ted and controlled online ; the opening force will not be raised greatly with the increasing of the num- ber of throttle orifices, but the leakage of seal increases apparently ; the uniform pressure groove im- proves the sealing performance, for example, opening force and stiffness are raised obviously. While leakage is reduced. Finally, the theoretical analysis is verified by experiment.展开更多

The realizable κ-ε model was used as a turbulent closure illustrate that the interaction exists between shock waves The supersonic flow field near air inlets was analyzed. The flow structures and boundary layer, and the flow separation is formed at the lower comer and the lower wall around the point of a maximum velocity. The numerical results show that the conversion from supersonic flow to subsonic flow in spherical air bearing occurs through a shock region (pseudo-shock), and the viscous boundary layer results in the flow separation and reverse flow near the shock. The calculation results basically agree with the corresponding experimental data.展开更多

One common weakness of most of previous models is the instability problem when the Mach number of the flow...Lattice Boltzmann (LB) modeling of high-speed compressible flows has long been attempted by various authors. One common weakness of most of previous models is the instability problem when the Mach number of the flow is large. In this paper we present a finite-difference LB model, which works for flows with flexible ratios of specific heats and a wide range of Mach number, from 0 to 30 or higher. Besides the discrete-velocity-model by Watari [Physica A 382 (2007) 502], a modified Lax Wendroff finite difference scheme and an artificial viscosity are introduced. The combination of the finite-difference scheme and the adding of artificial viscosity must find a balance of numerical stability versus accuracy. The proposed model is validated by recovering results of some well-known benchmark tests: shock tubes and shock reflections. The new model may be used to track shock waves and/or to study the non-equilibrium procedure in the transition between the regular and Mach reflections of shock waves, etc.展开更多

Unfortunately, due to the random and capricious nature of this signal, it is hard to realize reliable analysis using traditional signal processing methods such as statistical analysis or spectral analysis, which is done in Fourier domain. Information in different frequency band can be extracted by using wavelet analysis. On the evidence of the composition of the pressure fluctuation signals, energy of low frequency (ELF) is proposed to show the transition of fluidized regimes from bubbling fluidization to turbulent fluidization. Plots are presented to describe the fluidized bed's evolution to help identify the state of different flow regimes and provide a characteristic curve to identify the fluidized status effectively and reliably.展开更多

The load-displacement curve for the L-shaped column, the deflection and load-strain curves for the mono columns were obtained by the axial compression experiment. The results show that the L-shaped column exhibits a flexural-torsional buckling failure mode. The numerical simulation by the finite element analysis shows that the bearing capacity and failure mode are in accordance with those of the axial compression experiment and the feasi- bility of the finite element analysis is proved. For the calculation of the bearing capacity of the L-shaped column com- posed of concrete-filled square steel tubes, an analytical method is proposed based on the theory of the elastic stability and spatial truss model. The results of the analytical method are in good agreement with those of the axial compression experiment and the finite element analysis.展开更多

The RadFrac module of Aspen Plus was adopted in the steady-state simulation. Sensitive analysis was applied to find the stable intial value and provide a basis for the improved control structure design. The Aspen Dynamics software was adopted to study the process dynamic behaviors, and two novel control structures provided with feed ratio controllers and sensitive tray temperature controllers were proposed. The reflux ratio controllers were applied in the improved novel control structures. Both control structures abandoned the composition controllers that were replaced by simpler controllers with which the product purity could meet the specification requiring under a ± 20% disturbance to the total feed flowrate / MeAc composition.展开更多

The effects of both unbalance and extreme loading conditions are investigated. Also, the impact of distributed energy resources is studied. Different case studies and loading scenarios are presented to trace the eigenvalues of the Jacobian matrix. Experiments show that the micro-displacement calculated using the formula is in good agreement with the measurements. The relative error is less than 5%. (2) The important cause for the ECMWF medium-term numerical forecast to have errors in 1998 is that the astronomical tide is not included in the model. (3) Two indexes are found from which it can be judged that ECMWF medium-term numerical forecast will have errors if the astronomical tide is ignored in the model : ① When the 54.7?line under the moon of the nodical month astronomical singularities coincides with the trough-line of the subtropical jet flow from 50癊 to 150癊 on the 500 hPa level at 2000 L.T. of the same day, and is approximately vertical (α>60? with the isotherm, then the day 0 2 days after the appearance of the nodical month astronomical singularities is defined as the initial day. Then in three successive days after the initial day, ECMWF medium-term numerical forecast of the northern latitude of the 588 line at 120 癊 will have continuous errors as large as two latitudes (7/9). Otherwise, it won’t have continuous errors (13/13). ② Otherwise, if the 54.7 ?line is in the range of a low pressure between two high pressures, then there is a dispersive error on the day of the nodical month astronomical singularities (5/7). SPACE code is a best-estimated two-phase three-field thermal-hydraulic analysis code used to analyze the safety and performance of pressurized water reactors. In this paper, LOFT (loss of fluid test) L9-3 experiment using the SPACE code was selected to confirm the capability of SPACE code and the results calculated by the SPACE code are compared with those measured through the experiment. The results were compared with the experimental data and those of the other code simulations. Throughout the simulation result, it was concluded that the SPACE code can effectively simulate LOFT L9-3 experiment.展开更多

Downmixing and parametric coding is efficient coding scheme with wide applications in some up-to-date audio codecs such as Parametric Stereo (PS) in EAAC+ and MPEG-Surround. Principle Component Analysis (PCA) stereo coding followed this idea to map two channels to one channel with maximum energy and parameterize the secondary channel. This paper investigates the conventional PCA method performance under general stereo model with multiple sound sources and different directions, and then proposes a Polar Coordinate based PCA (PC-PCA) stereo coding method. It has been proved that when multiple sound sources exist with different directions, PC-PCA is better than the conventional PCA method when Mean to Standard deviation Ratio (MSR) is large. A stereo codec based on PC-PCA is proposed to validate the performance improvement of proposed method. Objective and subjective tests show the proposed method achieves a comparative quality and saves 50% parameter bit rate comparing with conventional PCA method, and obtains a 4-8 MUSHRA scores improvement comparing with state-of-the-art stereo codec at the same parameter bit rate.展开更多

The simple and appropriate control scheme was developed through analyzing the system requirements of the primary side and the load requirements of the secondary side. In the input section, a dual-loop control in synchronous rotating d-q coordinates was introduced, and in the output section, a dual-loop control based on instantaneous output voltage was used. Load characteristics of EPT were investigated by using Matlab/Simulink software. Simulation results showed that, with the proposed control scheme, the EPT has good performances and the sinusoidal input current and constant output voltage can be realized under both balanced and unbalanced loads.展开更多

The numerical results show that the conversion from supersonic flow to subsonic flow in spherical air bearing occurs through a shock region (pseudo-shock), and the viscous boundary layer results in the flow separation and reverse flow near the shock. The calculation results basically agree with the corresponding experimental data.

文摘Lattice Boltzmann (LB) modeling of high-speed compressible flows has long been attempted by various authors. One common weakness of most of previous models is the instability problem when the Mach number of the flow is large. In this paper we present a finite-difference LB model, which works for flows with flexible ratios of specific heats and a wide range of Mach number, from 0 to 30 or higher. Besides the discrete-velocity-model by Watari [Physica A 382 (2007) 502], a modified Lax Wendroff finite difference scheme and an artificial viscosity are introduced. The combination of the finite-difference scheme and the adding of artificial viscosity must find a balance of numerical stability versus accuracy. The proposed model is validated by recovering results of some well-known benchmark tests: shock tubes and shock reflections. The new model may be used to track shock waves and/or to study the non-equilibrium procedure in the transition between the regular and Mach reflections of shock waves, etc.
文摘It has been shown that much dynamic information is hidden in the pressure fluctuation signals of a gas-solid fluidized bed. Unfortunately, due to the random and capricious nature of this signal, it is hard to realize reliable analysis using traditional signal processing methods such as statistical analysis or spectral analysis, which is done in Fourier domain. Information in different frequency band can be extracted by using wavelet analysis. On the evidence of the composition of the pressure fluctuation signals, energy of low frequency (ELF) is proposed to show the transition of fluidized regimes from bubbling fluidization to turbulent fluidization. Plots are presented to describe the fluidized bed's evolution to help identify the state of different flow regimes and provide a characteristic curve to identify the fluidized status effectively and reliably.

Heat integration for different separation processes is investigated, using the pinch point method. Such a study will provide theoretical guide lines for the proper choice of a desirable separation process.

文摘Based on the characteristics of an L-shaped column composed of concrete-filled square steel tubes, the axial compression experiment and nonlinear finite element analysis were carried out to study the mechanical property of the L-shaped column. The load-displacement curve for the L-shaped column, the deflection and load-strain curves for the mono columns were obtained by the axial compression experiment. The results show that the L-shaped column exhibits a flexural-torsional buckling failure mode. The numerical simulation by the finite element analysis shows that the bearing capacity and failure mode are in accordance with those of the axial compression experiment and the feasi- bility of the finite element analysis is proved. For the calculation of the bearing capacity of the L-shaped column com- posed of concrete-filled square steel tubes, an analytical method is proposed based on the theory of the elastic stability and spatial truss model. The results of the analytical method are in good agreement with those of the axial compression experiment and the finite element analysis.

文摘In this paper, the novel control structures of differential pressure thermally coupled reactive distillation process for methyl acetate hydrolysis were proposed. The RadFrac module of Aspen Plus was adopted in the steady-state simulation. Sensitive analysis was applied to find the stable intial value and provide a basis for the improved control structure design. The Aspen Dynamics software was adopted to study the process dynamic behaviors, and two novel control structures provided with feed ratio controllers and sensitive tray temperature controllers were proposed. The reflux ratio controllers were applied in the improved novel control structures. Both control structures abandoned the composition controllers that were replaced by simpler controllers with which the product purity could meet the specification requiring under a ± 20% disturbance to the total feed flowrate / MeAc composition.
文摘This paper presents the application of bifurcation method on the steady state three-phase load-flow Jacobian method to study the voltage stability of unbalanced distribution systems. The eigenvalue analysis is used to study distribution system behavior under different operating conditions. Two-bus connected by asymmetrical line is used as the study system. The effects of both unbalance and extreme loading conditions are investigated. Also, the impact of distributed energy resources is studied. Different case studies and loading scenarios are presented to trace the eigenvalues of the Jacobian matrix. The results exhibit the existence of a new bifurcation point which may not be related to the voltage stability.
文摘According to the principle of a piezoelectric scanner, a three degree-of-freedom (D.O.F) micromanipulator driven by piezoelectric tubes was developed to realize the integration of mechanism and actuator.Through the static analysis of the deflection of piezoelectric tube into four quadrants, a formula has been establish for the relationship between micro-displacement and driving voltage and accordingly, the angular error is analyzed. Experiments show that the micro-displacement calculated using the formula is in good agreement with the measurements. The relative error is less than 5%. Some performances of the micromanipulator show that it can be applied to some micromanipulations.
文摘By statistic and dynamic analyses, we have come to the following conclusions: (1) The ECMWF medium-term numerical forecast can forecast medium-term activity of subtropical high, and the accuracy rate of forecast cannot have large improvement by translational corrections. (2) The important cause for the ECMWF medium-term numerical forecast to have errors in 1998 is that the astronomical tide is not included in the model. (3) Two indexes are found from which it can be judged that ECMWF medium-term numerical forecast will have errors if the astronomical tide is ignored in the model : ① When the 54.7?line under the moon of the nodical month astronomical singularities coincides with the trough-line of the subtropical jet flow from 50癊 to 150癊 on the 500 hPa level at 2000 L.T. of the same day, and is approximately vertical (α>60? with the isotherm, then the day 0 2 days after the appearance of the nodical month astronomical singularities is defined as the initial day. Then in three successive days after the initial day, ECMWF medium-term numerical forecast of the northern latitude of the 588 line at 120 癊 will have continuous errors as large as two latitudes (7/9). Otherwise, it won’t have continuous errors (13/13). ② Otherwise, if the 54.7 ?line is in the range of a low pressure between two high pressures, then there is a dispersive error on the day of the nodical month astronomical singularities (5/7). There is not any error (6/6) otherwise.
文摘The KHNP (Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co.) has developed a multipurpose nuclear safety analysis code called SPACE (the safety and performance analysis code) for nuclear power plants. SPACE code is a best-estimated two-phase three-field thermal-hydraulic analysis code used to analyze the safety and performance of pressurized water reactors. In this paper, LOFT (loss of fluid test) L9-3 experiment using the SPACE code was selected to confirm the capability of SPACE code and the results calculated by the SPACE code are compared with those measured through the experiment. The results were compared with the experimental data and those of the other code simulations. Throughout the simulation result, it was concluded that the SPACE code can effectively simulate LOFT L9-3 experiment.

文摘High efficiency audio compression is the basic technology in audio involved multimedia communications. Downmixing and parametric coding is efficient coding scheme with wide applications in some up-to-date audio codecs such as Parametric Stereo (PS) in EAAC+ and MPEG-Surround. Principle Component Analysis (PCA) stereo coding followed this idea to map two channels to one channel with maximum energy and parameterize the secondary channel. This paper investigates the conventional PCA method performance under general stereo model with multiple sound sources and different directions, and then proposes a Polar Coordinate based PCA (PC-PCA) stereo coding method. It has been proved that when multiple sound sources exist with different directions, PC-PCA is better than the conventional PCA method when Mean to Standard deviation Ratio (MSR) is large. A stereo codec based on PC-PCA is proposed to validate the performance improvement of proposed method. Objective and subjective tests show the proposed method achieves a comparative quality and saves 50% parameter bit rate comparing with conventional PCA method, and obtains a 4-8 MUSHRA scores improvement comparing with state-of-the-art stereo codec at the same parameter bit rate.

文摘A control scheme of electronic power transformer (EPT) in a three-phase four-wire distribution system, which included an input section, an isolating section and an output section, was researched under unbalanced loads. The simple and appropriate control scheme was developed through analyzing the system requirements of the primary side and the load requirements of the secondary side. In the input section, a dual-loop control in synchronous rotating d-q coordinates was introduced, and in the output section, a dual-loop control based on instantaneous output voltage was used. Load characteristics of EPT were investigated by using Matlab/Simulink software. Simulation results showed that, with the proposed control scheme, the EPT has good performances and the sinusoidal input current and constant output voltage can be realized under both balanced and unbalanced loads.
