[Methods] The 12-day-old J. curcas seedlings were held in a climate chamber at 25/20 ℃(day/night),16 hours illumination, and 75% of relative humidity for air-drought treatment, and the changes of water potential, osmotic potential and the content of soluble sugar, proline, betaine were measured. [Results] Water potential and osmotic potential in leaves of J. curcas seedlings dropped significantly, pressure potential lost during air-drought stress, and the contents of osmoregulants soluble sugar, proline and betaine rose significantly to different extent in the leaves and stems. [Conclusion] Osmoregulants in the leaves and stems respond differently to air-drought stress, and in general leaves are much more responsive to the drought than stems of J. curcas seedlings.展开更多

At pressure range of 0.047-4.5 GPa, H2 can pass the graphdiyen membrane quickly, while all the O2, N2, CO, and CH4 molecules are blocked. At pressure of 47 kPa, the hydrogen flow is 7 mol/m^2s. With increase of pressure, the hydrogen flow goes up, and reaches maximum of 6×10^5 mol/m^2s at 1.5 GPa. Compared to other known membranes, graphdiyne can be used for means of hydrogen purification with the best balance of high selectivity and high permeance.展开更多

After corrosion initiation, the cross section of reinforcement begins to reduce and often load bearing of the reinforced concrete structure will be reduced significantly. Corrosion of reinforcements in concrete in polluted and contaminated areas can occur in two ways: chloride and carbonation. In this work, meta-heuristic approach of charged system search(CSS) is used to calculate corrosion occurrence probability due to chloride ions penetration. The model efficiency is verified by comparing the available examples in technical literature and results of Monte Carlo analysis. According to the analyses performed, using different probabilistic distributions regardless of probabilistic moments based on real distribution leads to diverse results. In addition, influence of each effective parameter in corrosion occurrence varies by changing other parameters.展开更多

The powdered activated carbon (PAC) was deposited onto the UF membrane surface, forming an intact filter cake. The enhanced UF process simultaneously exploited the high water permeation flux of porous membrane and the high adsorption ability of PAC toward dye molecules. The influencing factors on the dye removal were investigated. The results indicated that with sufficient PAC incorporation, the formation of intact PAC filtration cake led to nearly complete rejection for dye solution under opti-mized dye concentration and operation pressure, without large sacnticlng the permeation tlux ot the filtration process. Typically, the dye rejection ratio increased from 43.6% for single UF without adsorption to nearly 100% for the enhanced UF process, achieving long time continuous treatment with water permeation flux of 47 L·m^-2·h^-1. The present study demonstrated that adsorption enhanced UF may be a feasible method for the dye wastewater treatment.展开更多

The process progressively was divided into looseness, stratification, collision, and penetration. Particle penetration has a direct effect on the screening performance. The penetration probability was defined, and the mathematical relationships between particle penetration and vibration parameters were established using the least squares method. To obtain the ideal penetration probability for materials the amplitude and frequency should preferably be near 3.0 mm and 25 Hz, respectively. The vibration direction angle has only a slight effect on penetration. The stage of the screening process from 0.1 to 0.7 s is the primary region for collision and penetration. This paper focused on the sieving process to more fully understand how particle collision and penetration influence the screening efficiency.展开更多
