The dihydrogen phosphate ion was treated as a seven-site model and the ammonium ion was regarded as a five-site model, while a simple-point-charge model for water molecule. An unusually local particle number density fluctuation was observed in the system at saturation temperature. It can be found that the potential energy increases slowly with the temperature from 373 K to 404 K, which indicates that the ammonium dihydrogen phosphate has partly decomposed. The radial distribution function between the hydrogen atom of ammonium cation and the oxygen atom of dihydrogen phosphate ion at three different temperatures shows obvious difference, which indicates that the average H-bond number changes obviously with the temperature. The temperature has an influence on the combination between hydrogen atoms and phosphorus atoms of dihydrogen phosphate ion and there are much more growth units at saturated solutions.展开更多

To reduce the solution difficulty and the calculation amount, if a distributed parameter system is described by ordinary differential equations (ODE) during the analysis and the design of distributed parameter system, the reliability of the system description will be reduced, and the systemic errors will be introduced. Studies on working condition real-time monitoring can improve the security because the rechargeable LIBs are widely used in many electronic systems and electromechanical equipment. Single particle model (SPM) is the simplification of LIB under some approximations, and can estimate the working parameters of a LIB at the faster simulation speed. A LIB modelling algorithm based on PDEs and SPM is proposed to monitor the working condition of LIBs in real time. Although the lithium ion concentration is an unmeasurable distributed parameter in the anode of LIB, the working condition monitoring model can track the real time lithium ion concentration in the anode of LIB, and calculate the residual which is the difference between the ideal data and the measured data. A fault alarm can be triggered when the residual is beyond the preset threshold. A simulation example verifies that the effectiveness and the accuracy of the working condition real-time monitoring model of LIB based on PDEs and SPM.展开更多

To investi- gate the effect of pre-tensioned rock bolts on stress redistribution around roadways, a numerical analysis was carried out using FLAC3D and a special post-process methodology, using surfer, is proposed to process the numerical simulation results. The results indicate that pre-tensioned rock bolts have a significant effect on stress redistribution around a roadway. In the roof, pre-tensioned rock bolts greatly increase vertical stress; as a result, the strength of the rock mass increased significantly which results in a greater capacity of bearing a large horizontal stress. The horizontal stress decreases in the upper section of the roof, indicating that pre-tensioned rock bolts significantly reduce the coefficient and the size of the region concentration of horizontal stress. At the lat- eral side, pre-tensioned rock bolts greatly increase the horizontal stress; therefore, the rock mass strength significantly increases which results also in a greater capacity of bearing a large vertical stress. The greater the size of pre-tensioned force, the larger the region of stress redistribution around a roadway is affected and the higher the size of the stress on the roadway surface the more the rock mass strength increases.展开更多

For the inversion, the computation of the covariance matrix and regularized terms requires prior estimation of model parameters, which makes the iterative inversion weakly nonlinear. At the same time, the relations among the model parameters are assumed linear. Furthermore, the reflectivities, the results of the inversion, or the elastic parameters with cumulative error recovered by integrating reflectivities are not well suited for detecting hydrocarbons and fuids. In contrast, in Bayesian linear AVO inversion, the elastic parameters can be directly extracted from prestack seismic data without linear assumptions for the model parameters. Considering the advantages of the abovementioned methods, the Bayesian AVO reflectivity inversion process is modified and Cauchy distribution is explored as a prior probability distribution and the time-variant covariance is also considered. Finally, we propose a new method for the weakly nonlinear AVO waveform inversion. Furthermore, the linear assumptions are abandoned and elastic parameters, such as P-wave velocity, S-wave velocity, and density, can be directly recovered from seismic data especially for interfaces with large reflectivities. Numerical analysis demonstrates that all the elastic parameters can be estimated from prestack seismic data even when the signal-to-noise ratio of the seismic data is low.展开更多

The model was first validated against available published measured data in rat liver. Using the validated model, effects of blood perfusion and heating schemes on lesion formation were studied for both single focus and split-focus intensity patterns. It was shown that for single focus sonication pattern the short-duration(~2 s) and high-intensity(~1250 W/cm2) heating scheme can completely reduce the cooling effect of the blood perfusion. The lesion shape and size were significantly altered by perfusion for split-focus pattern even with a rapid heating scheme when the focus spacing was larger than 2.4 mm. Underdosed areas might be present between two foci. Prolonging ex-posure time or shortening focus spacing can reduce the cool region between two foci. In addition, the influences of thermal and acoustic parameters were also studied. When the therapy depth is short(<5 cm) ,the lesion size monotonically increases with increasing attenuation coefficient that ranges from 5.4 to 11 Np/(m?MHz) .展开更多

The Reynolds averaged Navier-Stokes equations together with the Reynolds stress turbulent model are solved for the mean flow field and the turbulent kinetic energy. The fluctuating velocities of the fluid are assumed as a random variable with Gaussian distribution whose variance is related to the turbulent kinetic energy. The slender-body theory is used to simulate the fiber motion based on the known mean and fluctuating velocities of the fluid. The results show that at low Reynolds number, fiber concentration is high in the flow separation regions, and fiber orientation throughout the channel is widely distributed with a slight preference of aligning along the horizontal axis. With increasing of Re, the high concentration region disappears, and fiber orientation becomes ho-mogeneous without any preferred direction. At high Reynolds number, fiber concentration increases gradually along the flow direction. The differences in the distribution of concentration and orientation between different fiber aspect ratio are evident only at low Re. Both Re and fiber aspect ratio have small effect on the variance of orientation angle.展开更多
