The vertical electric field of the SOI LDMOS with a drift region which is vertically linearly graded is constant. The vertically linearly graded concentration drift can be achieved by impurity implanting followed by thermal diffusion. In this way,the vertical breakdown voltage of SOI LDMOS with 2μm thickness SOI layer can be improved by 43%. The on-state resistance is lowered by 24 % because of the higher impurity concentration of the SOI surface.展开更多

It can be used to describe the later stage when drug loading is above its solubility limit. A comprehensive model is proposed and the generalized solutions are acquired by Laplace transformation, from which a special case, i.e. a perfect sink has been deduced. According to the derived equations, the concentration profiles in the matrix has been computed and illustrated and the effect of volume of extraction medium on release has been investigated.展开更多

A novel active DC offset cancellation loop is elaborately analyzed and designed to achieve this performance. Using a signal path, a received signal strength indicator (RSSI), based on the piecewise-linear approximation, is realized with a ± 2dB logarithmic accuracy in a 60dB indicating range. The architecture of the LA and RSSI employed is determined by the optimal sensitivity and RSSI accuracy for a specified speed, gain, and power consumption. It consumes 60mW from a single 5V supply. The active area is 1.05mm^2 using standard 5V 0.6μm CMOS technology.展开更多

These analyses are of great significance for the quantitative characterization of various kinds of distribution patterns. Fractal and multi-fractal methods have been extensively applied to this topic. Traditionally, approximately linear-fractal laws have been regarded as useful tools for characterizing the self-similarities of element concentrations. But, in nature, it is not always easy to find perfect linear fractal laws. In this paper the parabolic fractal model is used. First a two dimensional multiplicative multi-fractal cascade model is used to study the concentration patterns. The results show the parabolic fractal (PF) properties of the concentrations and the validity of non-linear fractal analysis. By dividing the studied area into four sub-areas it was possible to show that each part follows a non-linear parabolic fractal law and that the dispersion within each part varies. The ratio of the polynomial coefficients of the fitted parabolic curves can reflect, to some degree, the relative concentration and dispersal distribution patterns. This can provide new insight into the ore-forming potential in space. The parabofic fractal evaluations of ore-forming potential for the four suhareas are in good agreement with field investigation work and geochemical mapping results based on analysis of the original data.展开更多

Problems formulation and relevant analysis are given in the presence of thermal radiation and non-uniform heat source/sink. Thermal conductivity is taken temperature dependent. The nonlinear partial differential equations are simplified using boundary layer approximations. The resultant nonlinear ordinary differential equations are solved for the series solutions. The convergence of series solutions is obtained by plotting theη-curves for the velocity, temperature and concentration fields. Results of this work describe the role of different physical parameters involved in the problem. The Deborah numbers corresponding to relaxation time(β1 and β2) and angle of inclination(α) decrease the fluid velocity and concentration field. Concentration field decays as Deborah numbers corresponding to retardation time(β3) and mixed convection parameter(G) increase. Large values of heat generation/absorption parameters A/B, and the temperature distribution across the boundary layer increase. Numerical values of local Nusselt number,-θ′(0), and local Sherwood number,-f′(0), are computed and analyzed. It is found that θ′(0) increases with an increase in β3.展开更多

The methods for performing TBP distillation experiments are described by ASTM D2892 and by ASTM D5236. However, these methods are established for petroleum fractions that reach temperatures up to 565 ~C. In this work, two petroleum residues were distilled in a falling film molecular distillation prototype and the data were used to obtain the extension of the TBP curve above a temperature of 565 ~C. It was possible to extend the TBP curve of both petroleum up to temperatures close to 700 ~C with consistency and continuity in comparison to the standard curve. In addition, an amount of raw material that was been treated as residue could be reused.展开更多
