The basis functions and the density of the coefficients of source signals learned by ICA are used as the prior knowledge. Based on the learned prior information the learning rules of single channel BSS are presented by maximizing the joint log likelihood of the mixed sources to obtain source signals from single observation, in which the posterior density of the given measurements is maximized. The experimental results exhibit a successful separation performance for mixtures of speech and music signals.展开更多
Seepage is one of the main causes for the deformation and instability of canal slopes in Xinjiang,China.In this study,centrifugal model tests under wetting-drying(WD)and wetting-drying-freezing-thawing(WDFT)cycles wer...Seepage is one of the main causes for the deformation and instability of canal slopes in Xinjiang,China.In this study,centrifugal model tests under wetting-drying(WD)and wetting-drying-freezing-thawing(WDFT)cycles were performed to investigate the water infiltration characteristics below a canal.The results show that the shallow soil of the canal models was fully saturated in the wetting process.Compared with the canal model under the WD cycles,the canal model under the WDFT cycles had larger saturated areas and a higher degree of saturation below the canal top after each cycle,indicating that the freezing-thawing(FT)process in the WDFT cycles promoted the water infiltration behavior below the canal slope.The cracks on the surface of the canal model under the cyclic action of WDFT developed further and had a higher connectivity,which provided the conditions for slope instability from a transverse tensile crack running through the canal top.On this basis,a field test was conducted to understand the water infiltration distribution below a typical canal in Xinjiang,China,which also verified the accuracy of the centrifugal results.This study provides a preliminary basis for the maintenance and seepage treatment of canals in Xinjiang,China.展开更多
An embedded underground coal seam carries channel waves of low seismic velocity along a stratigraphic rock-coal-rock sequence.In a homogeneous and isotropic seam, seismic waves propagate as trapped waves within the se...An embedded underground coal seam carries channel waves of low seismic velocity along a stratigraphic rock-coal-rock sequence.In a homogeneous and isotropic seam, seismic waves propagate as trapped waves within the seam, which leads to propagation of channel waves.We describe how to set up a field test for transmission in order to acquire channel waves in a coal seam.Because channel wave signals are non-stationary in their frequencies and amplitudes, a necessary velocity spectrum and wavelet transformation analysis are applied to interpret the characteristics of channel waves.The advantage of using a wavelet transformation is that different resolutions can be obtained at different times and different frequencies.According to analysis of the seismic signals acquired in the S7 sensor hole, it was clearly shown that the characteristics of channel waves are lower frequencies and attenuation which can guide an effective wave for detecting voids, boundaries and faults in coal seams with strong roofs and floors.展开更多

Cont...In this research, the authors evaluate different channels of the monetary policy transmission mechanisms in Saudi Arabia over the last 15 years with a baseline of structural vector autoregressive (SVAR) models. Contemporaneous coefficient in the structural model indicates that while Saudi Arabia pegs its currency to US dollar, monetary policy instrument reacts positively to unexpected changes in the monetary aggregate. In addition to the traditional interest rate channel, the authors have also found the effects of credit channel. Moreover, variance decomposition results show that past shocks of credit, nominal effective exchange rate (NEER), federal funds rate (FFR) and treasury bill (TB) are found to be important for credit growth in shorter and longer horizons. The lateral distributions of depth-averaged velocity in open compound channels with emerged and submerged vegetated floodplains were analyzed based on the analytical solution of the depth-integrated Reynolds-Averaged ...The lateral distributions of depth-averaged velocity in open compound channels with emerged and submerged vegetated floodplains were analyzed based on the analytical solution of the depth-integrated Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes equation with a term to account for the effects of vegetation.The three cases considered for open channels were two-stage rectangular channel with emerged vegetated floodplain,rectangular channel with submerged vegetated corner,and two-stage rectangular channel with submerged vegetated floodplain,respectively.To predict the depth-averaged velocity with submerged vegetated floodplains,we proposed a new method based on a two-layer approach where flow above and through the vegetation layer was described separately.Moreover,further experiments in the two-stage rectangular channel with submerged vegetated floodplain were carried out to verify the results.The analytical solutions of the cases indicated that the corresponding analytical depth-averaged velocity distributions agree well with the simulated and experimental prediction.The analytical solutions of the cases with theoretical foundation and without programming calculation were reasonable and applicable,which were more convenient than numerical simulations.The analytical solutions provided a way for future researches to solve the problems of submerged vegetation and discontinuous phenomenon of depth-averaged velocity at the stage point for compound channels.Understanding the hydraulics of flow in compound channels with vegetated floodplains is very important for supporting the management of fluvial processes.展开更多

The results show that: first, channel contention, channel areal differences and channel perception differences have a negative effect on financial performance and channel communication has a positive effect on financial performance significantly; second, market benefit has a positive effect on financial performance significantly; third, channel contention, channel areal differences and channel perception differences have a negative effect on market benefit and channel communication has a positive effect on market benefit significantly; forth, market benefit has a partial mediation effect on the influence of channel areal differences and channel communication on financial performance. Therefore, channel areal differences and channel communication are two major aspects among the dual distribution channel conflicts which may have influences on financial benefit of garment enterprises, and clothing company should lay emphasis on the settling of these two matters.展开更多

In this work the orientation distribution function and orientation tensors for semi-concentrated fiber suspensions in converging channel flow were calculated, and the evolutions of the fiber alignment and the bulk effective vis-cosity were analyzed. The results showed that the bulk stress and the effective viscosity were functions of therate-of-strain tensor and the fiber orientation state ; and that the fiber suspensions evolved to steady alignment and tended to concentrate to some preferred directions close to but not same as the directions of local stream-lines. The bulk effective viscosity depended on the product of Reynolds number and time. The decrease of ef-fective viscosity near the boundary benefited the increase of the rate of flow. Finally when the fiber alignment went into steady state, the structural features of fiber suspensions were not dependent on the Reynolds numberbut on the converging channel angle.展开更多

The main focus lies on the flow of the leading edge channels and the impact on theheat transfer. An experimental approach is performed with flow visualization via paint injection into water. Alsonumerical calculations are carried out in two sets, on the one hand water calculations accompanying the experimentsand on the other hand conjugate heat transfer calculations under realistic engine conditions. The latter calculationsare still ongoing delivering preliminary results.Five geometry configurations are investigated, three of them with differing turbulator arrangements in the leadingedge channels. The operating point of the base configuration is set to Re = 50,000 at the inlet while for the modifiedgeometries the pressure ratio is held constant compared to the base.Among several investigated configurations one could be identified that leads to a heat transfer enhancement inone leading edge channel 7 % larger compared to the base.展开更多

文摘The present investigation analyzes the effects of major geometrical modifications to the interior of a convectioncooled gas turbine rotor blade. The main focus lies on the flow of the leading edge channels and the impact on theheat transfer. An experimental approach is performed with flow visualization via paint injection into water. Alsonumerical calculations are carried out in two sets, on the one hand water calculations accompanying the experimentsand on the other hand conjugate heat transfer calculations under realistic engine conditions. The latter calculationsare still ongoing delivering preliminary results.Five geometry configurations are investigated, three of them with differing turbulator arrangements in the leadingedge channels. The operating point of the base configuration is set to Re = 50,000 at the inlet while for the modifiedgeometries the pressure ratio is held constant compared to the base.Among several investigated configurations one could be identified that leads to a heat transfer enhancement inone leading edge channel 7 % larger compared to the base.
