An optimal design method for an aircraft low-power thermoelectric refrigeration system(TRS)is proposed using an existing experimental model as the research platform under given aircraft flight conditions.The variation curves of the cooling capacities and the refrigeration coefficients of the system running at three flight altitudes are investigated.The performance of the system is evaluated by the minimum-entropy-generation method and the performance penalty is also calculated.The power variation curves of the cooling system are obtained by an electric power experiment.The peak values of these curves are less than the maximal electric power supply of airborne equipment,proving that the use of the low-power TRS for airborne equipment is feasible.The COP,cooling capacity and entropy generation of the system are relative to the flight altitude and the current of the TRS.Through the analyses of these data,the optimal values of the COP are obtained,and the optimization measures are proposed to maximize the use of the advantages of the TRS. 展开更多

Thus, the problem in MU-OFDM system is the adaptive allocation of the resources(subcarriers, bits and power) to different users subject to several restrictions to maximize the total system capacity. In this work, a proposed subcarrier allocation algorithm was presented to assign the subcarriers with highest channel gain to the users. After the subcarrier allocation, subcarrier gain-based power allocation(SGPA) was employed for power and bit loading. The simulation results show that the proposed subcarrier-power allocation scheme can achieve high total system capacity and good fairness in allocating the resources to the users with slightly high computational complexity compared to the existing subcarrier allocation algorithms. 展开更多

A multi-objective particle swarm optimization (MOPSO) approach for multi-objective economic load dispatch problem in power system is presented in this paper. The economic load dispatch problem is a non-linear constrained multi-objective optimization problem. The proposed MOPSO approach handles the problem as a multi-objective problem with competing and non-commensurable fuel cost, emission and system loss objectives and has a diversity-preserving mechanism using an external memory (call “repository”) and a geographically-based approach to find widely different Pareto-optimal solutions. In addition, fuzzy set theory is employed to extract the best compromise solution. Several optimization runs of the proposed MOPSO approach were carried out on the standard IEEE 30-bus test system. The results revealed the capabilities of the proposed MOPSO approach to generate well-distributed Pareto-optimal non-dominated solutions of multi-objective economic load dispatch. Com- parison with Multi-objective Evolutionary Algorithm (MOEA) showed the superiority of the proposed MOPSO approach and confirmed its potential for solving multi-objective economic load dispatch. 展开更多

In this HC-SS system, due to the property of 4- WFRFT, the signal energy of proposed system is distributed on the time-frequency plane more evenly and symmmetrically, compared with the existing Single-Cartier (SC) and Multi-Carrier (MC) spread spectrum systems. In the selective channel, the proposed method can split the interference to a more broad range in order to reduce the influence, resulting in the better system perforrmnce. The energy efficiency and packet delay tradeoffs in long term evolution-advanced(LTE-A) systems are investigated.Analytical expressions are derived to explain the relation of energy efficiency to mean packet delay,arrival rate and component carrier(CC) configurations,from the theoretical respective which reveals that the energy efficiency of multiple CC systems is closely related to the frequency of CCs and the number of active CCs.Based on the theoretical analysis,a CC adjusting scheme for LTE-A systems is proposed to maximize energy efficiency subject to delay constraint by dynamically altering the on/off state of CCs according to traffic variations.Numerical and simulation results show that for CCs in different frequency bands with equal transmit power,the proposed scheme could significantly improve the energy efficiency of users in all aggregation levels within the constraint of mean packet delay. 展开更多

The analytical expression for the Bit Error Rate (BER) of uplink MT-CDMA in the presence of CFO is derived in a multipath Rayleigh fading channel which is verified through simulations. Both Maximal Ratio Combining (MRC) and Equal Gain Combining (EGC) are considered in combining multipath signals in the analysis. The simulations are made over FDC- PIC with respect to different decision ways——hard, soft and linear decisions, respectively, and we conclude that FDC-PIC acquires superior performance improv ement over correlation reception of multi-carrier DS CDMA. With an increase in interference cancellation stages, the system performance is improved further. Th e initial 2 stages bring about the most dominant performance improvement, but up to the 3rd stage the system performance is improved little. It is also shown by the simulation results that FDC-PIC with soft decision would exhibit the best performance with a high implementation complexity, while FDC-PIC with linear de cision acquires performance comparable to that of FDC-PIC with soft decision wi th a reduced-complexity if the number of the interference cancellation stages i s the same, which indicates that FDC-PIC with linear decision has optimal perfo rmance/complexity tradeoff and therefore will be suitable for practical applica tion in future. 展开更多

Problems experienced during Floating Production, Storage and Offioading (FPSO) tandem offloading operations were investigated. The aim of this research was to improve the reliability of such systems, and it needed a means to assess them. Time-domain simulation and analysis of offioading systems was performed using the multi-body mooring software ARIANE 7.0. Hydrodynamic interaction between the vessels was considered. The responses of the offioading system in different loading cases, different parameters of offioading hawsers and the effects of challenging environmental conditions were calculated. There was a focus on the problems of relative motion between the two bodies and its effects on the intensity of hawser forces. Minimum relative distance, maximum relative headings and maximum tension in the hawsers of offloading systems were obtained by time-domain analysis. The time-domain analysis was effective and comparative study can be used to optimize parameters of the system and extend operating limits. 展开更多

The service conditions of shield machine are extremely complex. The driving interface load fluctuation caused by geological environment changes and multi field coupling of stress field may lead into imbalance of redundant drive motors output torque in main driving system. Therefore, the shield machine driving synchronous control is one of the key technologies of shield machine. This paper is in view of the shield machine main driving synchronous control, achieving the system's adaptive load sharing. From the point of view of cutterhead load changes, nonlinear factors of mechanical transmission mechanism and the control system synchronization performance, the authors analyze the load sharing performance of shield machine main drive system in the event of load mutation. The paper proposes a data-driven synchronized control method applicable to the main drive system. The effectiveness of the method is verified through simulation and experimental methods. The new method can make the system synchronization error greatly reduced, thus it can effectively adapt to load mutation, and reduce shaft broken accident. 展开更多

A protective synchronization scheme (ProSync) for the non-contiguous orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (NC-OFDM) system is proposed in this paper, aiming to minimize the impact of cross-band interference in opportunistic dynamic spectrum sharing networks. ProSync partly shrinks the preamble at the transmitter and exploits two multi-band filters at the receiver. By doing so, the potential interference suffered by NC-OFDM users, including both the cross-band interference and self interference, can be greatly reduced. Simulation results verify the effectiveness of ProSync, which is able to lower the carrier frequency offset (CFO) estimation error by up to 50%, compared with the traditional method. 展开更多

AIM:To investigate the suppressive activity of MUTYH variant proteins against mutations caused by oxidative lesion,8-hydroxyguanine(8OHG),in human cells.METHODS:p.R154H,p.M255V,p.L360P,and p.P377L MUTYH variants,which were previously found in patients with colorectal polyposis and cancer,were selected for use in this study.Human H1299 cancer cell lines inducibly expressing wild-type(WT) MUTYH(type 2) or one of the 4 above-mentioned MUTYH variants were established using the piggyBac transposon vector system,enabling the genomic integration of the transposon sequence for MUTYH expression.MUTYH expression was examined after cumate induction using Western blotting analysis and immunofluorescence analysis.The intracellular localization of MUTYH variants tagged with FLAG was also immunofluorescently examined.Next,the mutation frequency in the supF of the shuttle plasmid pMY189 containing a single 8OHG residue at position 159 of the supF was compared between empty vector cells and cells expressing WT MUTYH or one of the 4 MUTYH variants using a supF forward mutation assay.RESULTS:The successful establishment of human cell lines inducibly expressing WT MUTYH or one of the 4 MUTYH variants was concluded based on the detection of MUTYH expression in these cell lines after treatment with cumate.All of the MUTYH variants and WT MUTYH were localized in the nucleus,and nuclear localization was also observed for FLAG-tagged MUTYH.The mutation frequency of supF was 2.2 × 10-2 in the 8OHG-containing pMY189 plasmid and 2.5 × 10-4 in WT pMY189 in empty vector cells,which was an 86-fold increase with the introduction of 8OHG.The mutation frequency(4.7 × 10-3) of supF in the 8OHG-containing pMY189 plasmid in cells overexpressing WT MUTYH was significantly lower than in the empty vector cells(P < 0.01).However,the mutation frequencies of the supF in the 8OHG-containing pMY189 plasmid in cells overexpressing the p.R154H,p.M255V,p.L360P,or p.P377L MUTYH variant were 1.84 × 10-2,1.55 × 10-2,1.91 × 10-2,and 1.96 × 10-2,respectively,meaning that no significant difference was observed in the mutation frequency between the empty vector cells and cells overexpressing MUTYH mutants.CONCLUSION:The suppressive activities of p.R154H,p.M255V,p.L360P,and p.P377L MUTYH variants against mutations caused by 8OHG are thought to be severely impaired in human cells. 展开更多

When there are enough subcarriers, the bandwidth efficiency of the system is close to nyquist limit, which can ensure the utilization ratio of system frequency. Therefore, under the premise of ensuring orthogonal division of channels, the channels received a secondary division according to data rate requirements and power limit of business to make the frequency resource fully used and makes the total power minimal, which realizes the optimal distribution of wireless-communication system resources. The secondary division is represented by bit loading algorithm the best bit number of subcarrier allocation in symbol period. For the characteristics of wide-band multi-media services and granular division of VSF-OFCDM wireless communication, the subject proposes the idea of business-oriented subcarrier allocation, which means that the subcarriers are divided in symbol period with the business as the dominant. Based on the idea, the paper designs service-oriented bit loading algorithm of subcarrier, byte and power combined with distribution based on channel detection, and makes verification and performance analysis on the algorithm. 展开更多

Especially after a popular content releasing, a burst of downloaders often can't find sufficient uploaders and their request may starve the upload capacity of server. Therefore the overall system QoS may be degraded. To tackle such issue, this paper proposes a download rate accelerate mechanism, called motivate mechanism. With it, the system can quickly find out the files becoming insufficient by monitoring the operating status of the files hourly, Then it promptly increase the number of copies of those files by using free rider nodes so that the whole system QoS is maintained and the system performance is improved. The experiment results on the practical operating system of Tencent demonstrated that the proposed mechanism increases the download rate, saves the traffic on the server and optimizes the system performance. 展开更多

Based on the transmission equation of longitudinal wave in periodic drill string channel, we get a geometrical model for drill string channel. Two aspects are studied. Firstly, the equation for dispersion is established analyze and simulate the influence of length and cross-section to dispersion. Secondly, we introduce finite-difference for analyzing of transient response. Simulate transient response of drill string channel by changing the geometrical-characters of drill string. The paper gets characteristics of channel dispersion and signal attenuation, and useful for the choosing of best passband for carrier frequency. It is valuable for the acoustic telemetry to use for drilling applications. 展开更多

Based on the concept of ecosystem carrying capacity,the indicator system of quantitative assessment was set up,which consisted of support indicator system and pressure indicator system.And the factor analysis method was used to screen the indicator system.Different from the traditional indicator weight determination based on the absolute values of the coefficients of regression equation,the squares of factor loadings in the rotated component matrix were attempted to determine the weights of 40 assessment indicators.The result shows that ecological support system and pressure system in Binhai New Area are relatively balanced among six years,and the developing level of urban ecosystem is basically healthy on the whole.However,due to continuously increasing pressure of the resources consumption caused by the rapid growth of the second industry,which is the Leading Industry of Binhai New Area,the ecosystem carrying capacity reached the minimum in 2005. 展开更多
