An image fusion method combining complex contourlet transform(CCT) with nonnegative matrix factorization(NMF) is proposed in this paper.After two images are decomposed by CCT,NMF is applied to their highand low-freque...An image fusion method combining complex contourlet transform(CCT) with nonnegative matrix factorization(NMF) is proposed in this paper.After two images are decomposed by CCT,NMF is applied to their highand low-frequency components,respectively,and finally an image is synthesized.Subjective-visual-quality of the image fusion result is compared with those of the image fusion methods based on NMF and the combination of wavelet /contourlet /nonsubsampled contourlet with NMF.The experimental results are evaluated quantitatively,and the running time is also contrasted.It is shown that the proposed image fusion method can gain larger information entropy,standard deviation and mean gradient,which means that it can better integrate featured information from all source images,avoid background noise and promote space clearness in the fusion image effectively.展开更多

By the Dynamic Error System Analysis (DESA) method, it rigorously proved that the presented self-tuning weighted measurement fusion Kalman filter converges to the optimal weighted measurement fusion steady-state Kalman filter in a realization or with probability one, so that it has asymptotic global optimality. Then principal components are extracted through reconstructing multi effects. Moreover, combining with the optimal estimation theory, the method of singular value diagnosis in dam safety monitoring effect values is proposed. After dam monitoring information matrix is obtained, single effect state estimation matrix and multi effect fusion estimation matrix are constructed to make diagnosis on singular values to reduce false alarm rate. And the diagnosis index is calculated by PCA. These methods have already been applied to an actual project and the result shows the ability of the monitoring effect reflecting dam evolution behavior is improved as dam safety monitoring effect fusion estimation can take accurate identification on singular values and achieve data reduction, filter out noise and lower false alarm rate effectively.展开更多

Most studies are based on 2D images, and their perfor...Emotion recognition via facial expressions (ERFE) has attracted a great deal of interest with recent advances in artificial intelligence and pattern recognition. Most studies are based on 2D images, and their performance is usually computationally expensive. In this paper, we propose a real-time emotion recognition approach based on both 2D and 3D facial expression features captured by Kinect sensors. To capture the deformation of the 3D mesh during facial expression, we combine the features of animation units (AUs) and feature point positions (FPPs) tracked by Kinect. A fusion algorithm based on improved emotional profiles (IEPs) arid maximum confidence is proposed to recognize emotions with these real-time facial expression features. Experiments on both an emotion dataset and a real-time video show the superior performance of our method.展开更多
