The initial hypothesis is that a typical entrepreneurial process carries with its ＂creativity-enabling elements＂. In a normal situation, businesses focus on optimizing their resources for commercial gains, thus perceptions about values of entrepreneurial creativity are usually vague. However, in difficult times, the difference between survival and failure may be creativity. This paper examines many previous findings on entrepreneurship and creativity, and suggests a highly possible ＂organic growth＂ of creativity in an entrepreneurial environment and reinforcing value of entrepreneurship when creativity power is present. In other words, the authors see each idea reinforcing the other. The authors survey Vietnamese firms during the chaotic year of 2012 to learn about the ＂entrepreneurship-creativity nexus＂, looking at influential cultural values, namely risk tolerance, relationship, and dependence on resources--to assess how they influence entrepreneurial decisions. A set of 137 qualified responses was obtained for this statistical examination. A categorical data analysis is performed to confirm that creativity and entrepreneurial spirit could hardly be separate, for both entrepreneurial and accomplished companies. Although the most important factor during implementation is still ＂relationship＂, business people are increasingly aware of the need of creativity/innovation in troubled times.展开更多

It was clearly pointed out through a meticulous experimental research on the batch crystallization of CAM （citric acid monohydrate） carried out in the years 1997-1998 by the author at the historic laboratories of＂La Sapienza＂ University of Rome. Such pioneering M.Sc. thesis, supervised by Prof. Barbara Mazzarotta （Department of Chemical Engineering）, was already summarized in an informative essay but, since the crystallization operating conditions to optimize were illustrated ＂collectively＂, it seemed necessary a further paper expounding uniquely the geometry effect. In addition, this multiple-case study investigated top managers＇ perceptions of building opportunity-based entrepreneurial culture in organizations during strategic change, considered as a critical factor for organizations during change, the results of which can be used to guide management in preventing destructive actions of business non-loyalty. Following, this multiple-case study examined the management of change within the corporate entrepreneurship literature as a means of helping organizations improve practical intelligence of defining growth goals and new enterprise growth management processes and procedures, including those relevant to change, the way they function, and formal and informal rules protecting adequacy of governance arrangements as well as the organizational culture. Participant responses to the interview question regarding capability to maintain high-performing teams resulted in themes regarding role of leadership in risk management approach, leadership development challenges, trust and commitment in inter-fLrm relationships, as being the top managers＇ perceptions and the attitudes in outsourcing R＆D industry sector since the enactment of the strategic change.展开更多

Although resource constraints will pose certain hurdles for this transition, the pressure of these constraints will ultimately serve to catalyze, rather than impede, sustainable industrial growth. Usual recommendations concerning the principles of effective economic policy that were given by international experts, closely connected with the ＂Washington consensus＂ approach, for the transitive countries, especi...Usual recommendations concerning the principles of effective economic policy that were given by international experts, closely connected with the ＂Washington consensus＂ approach, for the transitive countries, especially to Ukraine, do not contain requirements of the active innovation technological policy, stressing importance the measures which provide efficiency of the existing production structure. This article discusses and criticizes such attitude as the strategic methodological platform. The theoretical backgrounds of the presented analysis lay in the Schumpeterian innovation theory of economic development and the Neo-Schumpeterian approaches concerning decisive value of structural and technological change for economic growth. It gives arguments for standpoint that a follow-up economic development can be successful if a country will be able to have expansion of new modem sectors and more innovative structure of production, as investments in the process of innovation must guarantee a permanent structural reform of the national economy on a new technological basis. One of the main means of realization should be the diversification of the organizational forms of the national economy, ensuring the cooperation of small, medium and large companies within the innovation ＂science-technology-production＂ cycle. Conclusion that in transitive countries and in Ukraine the contemporary innovation policy should provide effective mechanisms of investing into large-scale structural changes for the benefit of the sectors of the fifth and sixth technological paradigm.展开更多

Since, leadership style and behavior has a huge in...This research was conducted to identify the emerging leadership style being practiced by successful entrepreneurs and the leadership behavior they frequently applied. Since, leadership style and behavior has a huge influence to the success of the entrepreneur＇s enterprise. One hundred and fifty （150） successful entrepreneurs was the respondent of this study and they were survey and interviewed about their actual leadership style and practices. The research design was qualitative-descriptive type of research with the use of the Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire 5X （MLQ 5X） as the survey instrument to collect data regarding leadership styles of successful entrepreneurs. An interview guide questions was likewise utilized for validating the result of the study. An in-depth semi-structured interview was also conducted to 30 entrepreneurs from the 150 respondents. Findings of the study revealed that a successful entrepreneur exhibits a noticeably higher inclination toward transformational leadership and they consistently rated themselves higher in inspirational motivation for their leadership behavior. Therefore, the emerging leadership style of successful entrepreneurs is the transformational leadership and the leadership behavior that they frequently use is the inspirational motivation. Furthermore, the aimed of this study is to explore practices of transformational leadership behavior of successful entrepreneurs from entrepreneur＇s perspective.展开更多
