Job creation and encourage the entrepreneurship to create more employment opportunities will be a long-term policy, which puts forward higher requirements on entrepreneurship education in colleges and universities, we need for the current problem restricting the development of entrepreneurship education in colleges and the universities well as in-depth research. In view of the special practical entrepreneurship education, many universities invite entrepreneurial experience for the entrepreneurship lectures, entrepreneurial guidance. It should be worth promoting, but we also want to see, entrepreneurial faculty have their weakness. This paper falls into the broad area of economic geography and economics of creativity,and it presents an alternative approach to explain why total factor productivity(TFP)growth is different across China′s regions.It establishes an empirical model to estimate the spatial agglomeration effects of creative industries on regional TFP growth,using China′s provincial panel data during the period of 2003 to 2010.We found that the creative industries agglomeration(CIA)has significant and positive impact on regional TFP growth.The result also implies that the CIA can facilitate regional TFP growth through promoting regional innovation instead of improving regional efficiency.Therefore,we argue that policy makers should take some measures to retain and establish more creative zones. 展开更多

This paper focuses on the innovation as a key factor in entrepreneurial cycles particularly in those who deal with production. Taking into the consideration the whole entrepreneurial cycle, the innovation is the most sensitive factor that determines the products giving to them the "soul" and in most cases separating successful from unsuccessful ones on the market. In the era of global market, competitiveness became one of the most important factors for each company. Within an enterprise, the engineers are those who are qualified and responsible to take care about the competitiveness of the products that company produce. They have to be introduced not just about the technology in sense of "how to made smt.", but even rather "bow to make the better product than others". "Better" could be involved in product various characteristics as quality, functionality, durability and any other ones which will convince the customer to buy it. The engineers should be more focused on the "value" involved in the product rather than on its "materialization", simply because the customers buy the value for him/her. By neglecting innovation, companies become just a simple economy subjects, without entrepreneurial elements, losing competitiveness and endanger their future. This study focuses on perceived values of entrepreneurship and creativity within a turbulent environment. The initial hypothesis is that a typical entrepreneurial process carries with its "creativity-enabling elements". In a normal situation, businesses focus on optimizing their resources for commercial gains, thus perceptions about values of entrepreneurial creativity are usually vague. However, in difficult times, the difference between survival and failure may be creativity. This paper examines many previous findings on entrepreneurship and creativity, and suggests a highly possible "organic growth" of creativity in an entrepreneurial environment and reinforcing value of entrepreneurship when creativity power is present. In other words, the authors see each idea reinforcing the other. The authors survey Vietnamese firms during the chaotic year of 2012 to learn about the "entrepreneurship-creativity nexus", looking at influential cultural values, namely risk tolerance, relationship, and dependence on resources--to assess how they influence entrepreneurial decisions. A set of 137 qualified responses was obtained for this statistical examination. A categorical data analysis is performed to confirm that creativity and entrepreneurial spirit could hardly be separate, for both entrepreneurial and accomplished companies. Although the most important factor during implementation is still "relationship", business people are increasingly aware of the need of creativity/innovation in troubled times. 展开更多

The process of innovative development is stimulated by cities as centers of accumulated (regional) growth and innovative enterprises as elements of urban space. Cities stimulate innovations by creating a specific demand for innovations and innovative products as well as specific incentives such as preferable conditions for creation, accumulation, usage, and exchange of knowledge and information. Diffusion of ideas has an impact on changes in environment resulting in increase in dynamics of innovation, which means possibilities of innovative development for local firms. The paper highlights the idea of an innovative city with respect to the impact of innovations on city development. The concept of an innovative city is not clearly defined because the interpretation of innovation is differentiated and ambiguous except for common denominator of the novelty. The paper underlines the role of city's environment for innovations' creation acting as an incubator for clusters of firms, particularly those engaged in the process of high-tech involvement (technology parks). The option of an innovative city approach presented here is the author's view on an innovative city's growth and it is based on the role of synergic interaction between innovative firms as elements of a city space and an innovative city itself. 展开更多

The Entrepreneurial Marketing Concept and Its Application by the International New Ventures

For the last two decades, there has been an ongoing research concerning the international new ventures (INV) or born global (BG) companies which are rapidly entering foreign markets. They face challenges connected with their marketing activity, because they launch relatively more product innovations in a shorter time than the gradually internationalized companies (GRAD). The entrepreneurial marketing (EM) concept could become a solution to some of these challenges, because of a greater entrepreneurial intensity (EI) and different decision-making approach than "classical" marketing concept. This study's aim is to analyze the EM concept and application of its elements by the INVs originating from Poland. Based on two computer-aided telephone interview (CATI) studies of INVs from the Polish industrial processing sector, the central elements of EM, applied by them, are explored, together with their relationship to INV performance. As it is shown, the INVs introduce significantly more product innovations than the gradually internationalized small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs). They often exceed competitors in the speed of launching innovations and are flexible in entering new markets. The entrepreneurial orientation (EO) indicators are at low to medium levels in all studied SMEs. However, the propensity to risk is slightly stronger in the INVs and correlated moderately with the financial performance. As the study shows, lack of emphasis on marketing planning and information gathering is the characteristic of the Polish INVs, which may testify to their effectual approach to decision making. Furthermore, similar as in the foreign-based INVs, there may exist a relationship between the application of the EM concept and performance of the Polish INNs, which, however, requires further study with respect to some mediating factors. It has been concluded that innovativeness of the product offering and propensity to risk seems to be the characteristic EM concept elements accompanying the rapid internationalization of INVs. The future research should focus on other elements of the EM-mix applied by INVs originating from emerging economies. 展开更多

Innovation and Technical Efficiency in the Smallholder Dairy Production System in Ethiopia 被引量:1

This study provides estimates of smallholder household's production efficiency and its determinants, and separately analyses the technical efficiency of dairy technology adopting and non-adopting farmers using data from Ethiopia. Cobb-Douglas stochastic frontier production function was modeled in the context of local level agricultural innovation systems framework and estimated using 2011 milk production data on 304 dairy farmers. Results show that the mean level of technical efficiency among the sampled farmers was about 26%. This result suggests that there is room for significant increases of production through reallocation of existing resources. Despite significant variation among farmers, these results also indicate only 19% of farmers have mean efficiency scores (_〉 50%), implying a need to focus on creating innovation capacity that pushes the production frontier outward in the dairy production system. It is also revealed that individual farm households' efficiency varied widely across dairy technology adoption status, gender and districts. The significant gamma (g) statistic, of 0.9985 in the analysis indicates that about 99.85% variation in the output of milk production would be attributed to technical inefficiency effects (those under farmer's control) while only 0.0015% would be due to random effects, i.e., beyond the farmers control and hence calling for a focus on efficiency enhancing investments. Education, farm size, extension visit and off-farm income opportunity were found to be efficiency enhancing. The study recommends that different components of an agricultural innovation system have to interact to improve the innovation capacity of different actors and thereby improve the estimated technical inefficiencies. 展开更多

Unemployment occurs because labor forces are not absorbed into employment. One way to reduce unemployment is to open their own employment or become entrepreneurs. In fact, the government of Indonesia has made some efforts to the growth of new entrepreneurs, for example, by providing funding for student entrepreneurship program to a number of universities in Indonesia. However, efforts by the government are useless if there is no intention in the individual itself, and there are five factors driving intention in entrepreneurship, which invest, creativity, market opportunity, autonomy, status. Meanwhile, some researchers have conducted research about factor which driving the entrepreneurial intention. The result of that research shows that the most encouraging factor is the creativity. However, creativity must be managed properly in order to give optimal results This article wants to analyze the management of creativity among entrepreneurs in order to give optimal results. The research was conducted among young entrepreneurs, which are still a college student or had graduated from college. The total informants for this research are five informants from three private universities/colleges. This research used interview to collect data. This study attempted to process qualitative data obtained from interviews with young entrepreneurs. The result of this research is all of the respondents use some techniques to maintain and enhance creativity, such as "allow you to creative", "think out of the box", and "be persistent". This work is trying to apprehend the specific financial problems which SMEs, working on innovative projects, might face in a context characterized by a lack of liquidity, and it aims to improve the understanding of previous theoretical and empirical studies that dealt with the subject of financing these innovative companies. Moreover, it appears that it is important to ask the following question: Are there specific financial constraints to innovative SMEs? In order to answer the preceding question, this paper presents firstly the concept of innovation within companies. In an increasingly competitive environment, where new business practices are regularly introduced, organizations have to be innovative to survive. In the present competitive climate, knowledge is considered as the main distinguishing factor of business success, and it is seen as the foundation of organization's innovation. The emergence of knowledge-intensive society has changed the nature of business competition. Hence knowledge needs to be appropriately managed. Knowledge Management (KM) focuses on managing different knowledge processes such as acquiring, creating, storing, sharing, transferring and applying implicit and explicit knowledge with objective of product and process innovation, performance development and sustainable competitive advantage. This paper tries to demonstrate KM lead to promotion of innovation and performance when it is correctly supported by human resource management (HRM) and information technology (IT). The questions we will try to investigate in this paper are: How knowledge in organizations can be managed? What is the connection between HRM, IT and effective implementation knowledge management strategies and how these relationships affect on organizational goals? For this means, this study ftrst states the importance of knowledge, KM process and introduces two strategies for managing knowledge (exploitative and explorative strategy). Next, it demonstrates each strategy requires to desired facilitator to support them in action. Finally, with presenting of model, this study concludes that each one of strategy can cover some KM process.
