An Innovative Strategy for Reciprocal Distant Hybridization between Spartina alterniflora and Rice 被引量:3

[Objective] This study aimed to explore germplasm resources of salt toler- ant Spartina alterniflora and high yield rice, and develop an innovative strategy for distant hybridization between S. altemiflora and rice. [Method] Crossing (rice ♀ ): hot water emasculation and glume-cutting pollination method, heat emasculation and pollen-suction pollination method; reciprocal crossing (S. alterniflora ♀ glume-cutting emasculation and pollination method, continuous emasculation-pollination method, hot water emasculation and continuous emasculation-pollination method. [Result] In crossing groups (rice ♀ × S. alterniflora ♂ ), compared with hot water emasculation and glume-cutting pollination treatment, the number of seed-bearing combinations, seed number per spike and seedling emergence rate in heat emasculation and pollen-suction pollination treatment were improved by 34.09%, 121.21% and 60.07%, respectively; hybridization efficiency was improved by 6-7 times. In reciprocal cross- ing groups (S. altemiflora ♀× rice ♂ ), compared with glume-cutting emasculation and pollination treatment, the number of seed-bearing combinations and seed num- ber per spike in continuous emasculation-pollination treatment were improved by 3.14 and 4.21 times, respectively; seedling emergence rate was improved by 68.47%; hybridization efficiency was improved by 7-8 times. [Conclusion] Heat emas- culation and pollen-suction pollination method is suitable for hybridization between rice ♀× S. alterniflora ♂; continuous emasculation-pollination method is suitable for hybridization between S. alterniflora ♀× rice ♂. 展开更多

The aim of the study is to conduct comprehensive experiments and developments of innovative technologies to produce the oil extract of amaranth for their application as food additives in the food industry. To achieve the aim, the following tasks were identified: (I) study the physicochemical, biochemical properties and the composition of amaranth seeds; (2) improving the methods for producing the oil extract of amaranth. This article is devoted to complex research of processes of manufacture of vegetable oils. Authors have developed scientific bases of improvement and an intensification of technological processes for production of oil from amaranth seeds. The authors have developed a new technology for extracting of oil from amaranth seeds using hexane as a solvent. The proposed method provides to obtain oil without great technical effort and keeps it all the nutrients that promote the highest taste of the product and with little labor and time costs. 展开更多

Innovative Method to Control Dubas Bug, Ommatissus lybicus (Deberg) (Homoptera: Tropiduchidae) in Date Palm Orchards Using Endophytic Beauveria bassiana Isolates

The main objective of this study was to investigate the presence of natural endophytic Beauveria bassiana within date palm tissues using molecular technique and measure their field efficacies in controlling Dubas bug, Ornmatissus lybicus (Deberg). Two entomopathogenic B. bassiana isolates (MARD 108 and 100) were isolated from date palm, Phoenix dactylifera L. leaves; in addition, one isolate (MARD 92) originally from soil was identified to have endophytic property. Concentration of 1 × 10^9 conidia/mL of each of three endophytic isolates was used in field experiments targeting Dubas bug nymphs via injection tree trunks. The results indicated that the high mortality rates reached 92%, 96% and 100% with infliction of the three endophytic isolates after 15 d from the treatment. The successful establishment of the fungal isolates in the date palm tissue was determined using B. bassiana species-specific primer for the first time via using conventional polymerase chain reaction (PCR) amplification technique before and after injection, and the positive gel band representation was the identification signs. The novel results depicted for the first time the presence of natural endophytic B. bassiana isolates within date palm tissues and their field efficacies in controlling Dubas bug, O. lybicus (Deberg) infestation. 展开更多

Changes and Innovation of Dutch Building Regulation and Control: An Ongoing Debate

Dutch building regulation is under construction. After the report of the commission "Fundamentele Verkenning Bouw" in 2008, several studies have been done on the principals that the commission outlined in its report. Local authorities and parties in construction were invited to start experiments with a more privatized system of building control. But this faced a lack of participation, partly due to the impact of the crisis. The minister responsible for housing and construction invited in 2011 a "Bouwteam" to develop an agenda for action for construction. In 2012, 17 action teams started to focus, speed up and simplify the planning and development of construction. Recently, the two teams related to building regulation presented their plans. The first was a roadmap towards private building control, the second, a proposal for an independent body to answer questions on constructions plans that do intrinsically but not legally meet the standards of building regulation. There is considerable controversy regarding the way that this implementation team is paving its path towards private building control. While the minister for housing conformed himself to a subsidized private implementing team, the Dutch Parliament has expressed its own priorities for regulation: insured guarantee to protect users and owners, a role for local authorities regarding safety and acceptance of buildings and simplification of building regulation and control for simple construction works. The parliament held a round-table conference to get informed about private building control. Recently, a proposal by the minister for housing was discussed. Further debate will be needed to decide about the next steps in innovation building regulation, which will take place in the upcoming months. ERB/RIGO (Foundation Expert Centre Regulations in Building/Research Institute for Real Estate) have developed own proposals for the public-private relation regarding development and construction of buildings. They expect that their proposals might be of help. The proposals are laid down in several publications and partly realized in experimental development of "to be approved" technical solutions. This paper reflects on the differences between their proposals and these of the roadmap, on the possible outcome of the ongoing debate and its implications, legal and technical, on building regulation and on legal and contractual liability. This paper tries to give an inside view on the development of regulation and the pros and cons of the proposals, starting from a theoretical outline of building regulation. 展开更多

Since its very release in March 2006, the opinion-soliciting draft of the Labor Contract Law has sparked considerable controversy. Indeed, the whole process of its consideration, promulgation, implementation and amendment has been accompanied by complex questioning and a diversity of views. This has to some extent reduced appreciation of the value of the Labor Contract Law itself. In the economy and society, rational legal construction can minimize the damage done by the failure of private negotiations. The Labor Contract Law is dedicated to changing the action space of workers and enterprises in order to promote efficiency in production and equity in distribution. With the aim of constructing and developing harmonious and stable labor relations, the law seeks to encourage workers and enterprises to forge communities of shared interests, shared undertakings, a common destiny and a joint mission; it is here that the true value of the law lies. In terms of institutional design, in building a system that categorizes workplace employment, the Labor Contract Law makes a breakthrough in workplace labor relations management and sets up an innovative labor relations management system with Chinese characteristics. Faced with the new normal in labor relations, we should make further progress in strengthening democraticenterprise management, optimizing the developmental environment of business, etc. 展开更多

Marine microbes are major drivers of marine biogeochemical cycles and play critical roles in the ecosystems. Aerobic anoxygenic phototrophic bacteria(AAPB) are an important bacterial functional group with capability of harvesting light energy and wide distribution, and appear to have a particular role in the ocean's carbon cycling. Yet the global pattern of AAPB distribution was controversial at the beginning of the 21 st century due to the defects of the AAPB enumeration methods. An advanced time-series observation-based infrared epifluorescence microscopy(TIREM) approach was established to amend the existing AAPB quantitative deviation and led to the accurate enumeration of AAPB in marine environments. The abundance of AAPB and AAPB% were higher in coastal and continental shelf waters than in oceanic waters, which does not support the idea that AAPB are specifically adapted to oligotrophic conditions due to photosynthesis in AAPB acting a supplement to their organic carbon respiration. Further investigation revealed that dependence of AAPB on dissolved organic carbon produced by phytoplankton(PDOC) may limit their competition and control AAPB distribution. So, the selection of carbon sources by AAPB indicated that they can effectively fractionate the carbon flow in the sea. Enlightened by these findings, the following studies on the interactions between marine microbes and DOC led to the discovery of a new mechanism of marine carbon sequestration—the Microbial Carbon Pump(MCP). The conceptual framework of MCP addresses the sources and mechanism of the vast DOC reservoir in the ocean and represents a breakthrough in the theory of ocean carbon sequestration. 展开更多
