To assess the influence of the initial temperature field on ocean temperature and sea ice simulations,a climatological dataset(WOA18),a real-time varying dataset(SODA),and an analysis field obtained after applying the...To assess the influence of the initial temperature field on ocean temperature and sea ice simulations,a climatological dataset(WOA18),a real-time varying dataset(SODA),and an analysis field obtained after applying the“vertical projection”assimilation scheme were selected to obtain the initial temperature field(the initial moment was December 1,2015)for use in the sea ice simulation of the HAMSOM ice-ocean coupled model,considering the Bohai Sea in the 2015/2016 winter.In this study,after using this assimilation scheme,the analysis initial temperature field showed significant improvement.The simulated SST results showed that the initial temperature field had a considerable effect on the SST results in the first 45 days of the model run;after this period,the effect became negligible and the model internal dynamics and atmospheric forcing became dominant.The simulated sea ice results showed that the ice area and ice edge distance(i.e.,the distance between the intersection of the central axis and the ice edge line and axis apex)results obtained in experiment E3 which used the analysis initial temperature field were improved by~14%and~35%,respectively,and those obtained in experiment E2 which used the real-time varying initial temperature field were improved by~10%and~22%,respectively,compared to the results of experiment E1 which used the climatological initial temperature field.展开更多
To degrade the organic compounds in the electroplating wastewater,magnetic field was tentatively introduced into electrocatalytic oxidation on Ti-PbO2 anode.The magnetic field assisted electrocatalytic oxidation can p...To degrade the organic compounds in the electroplating wastewater,magnetic field was tentatively introduced into electrocatalytic oxidation on Ti-PbO2 anode.The magnetic field assisted electrocatalytic oxidation can promote anion movement and the generation of active species,resulting more organic compounds to be oxidized and degraded.Oxidation parameters such as treatment time,current density and initial pH of the wastewater were systematically discussed and optimized.The mineralization of organic compounds is improved by over 15% under a magnetic density of 22 mT while the current density is 50 A/m2,pH is 1.8 and the reaction time is 1.5 h.The results indicate that the magnetic field assisted electrocatalytic oxidation has considerable potential in electroplating wastewater treatment.展开更多

Initial value sensitivity in technology diffusion, an important problem for firms' decision making such as the timing and target market chosen for new technology or product entering the market, has long been limited ...Initial value sensitivity in technology diffusion, an important problem for firms' decision making such as the timing and target market chosen for new technology or product entering the market, has long been limited by the research methodology and tool. Based on the network extension of Bass model, this paper proposes a stochastic threshold model and uses computer simulation to empirically examine three propositions on initial value sensitivity in technology diffusion process. Our findings suggest that diffusion extent is sensitive to not only the number of initial adopters but also their positions in social network, and the variance of customers' initial assessment as well, which can be detailed as follows: (1) the degree of technology diffusion exhibits highly positive relation to initial adopter quantity, in particular, when the quantity of initial adopters is small, diffusion extent is very sensitive; (2) diffusion extent is sensitive to the positions of initial adopters; (3) in addition, the variance of customers' initial evaluation displays strong negative relation to the final diffusion degree in that the larger variance, the lower of diffusion extent.展开更多
