Compared withthe first generation (FG) stand the soil structure deteriorated in the second generation (SG) andthe third generation (TG) stands. For instance, the destruction rate of the peds increased by 55%-115% in the SG and the TG stands compared to the FG stand. Soil nutrient storage and nutrientavailability also decreased in the SG and the TG stands. For surface soils of 0-20 cm, the organicmatter content, total N and P, and available N and P decreased by 3%-20% relative to those in the FGstand. For many soil parameters, the differences between the FG stand and the SG and the TG standswere statistically significant (LSD test, P < 0.05). Furthermore, with each succeeding generation ofChinese fir, the total number of soil microbes declined, the soil enzyme activity weakened, and thesoil biological activity decreased. In order to maintain sustainable site productivity, newsilvicultural practices need to be developed for management of Chinese fir plantations.展开更多

The aim of this work is to demonstrate experimentally, trough measurements carried out in these equipments, the improvement that can be achieved if several modifications are implemented in traditional household refrigeration systems. In addition, it was also simulated and analysed experimentally a slightly different equipment, a refrigeration system used for draught beverages. Both systems work on a single vapour compression refrigeration with R-134a as working fluid. In the end, by implemented the modifications tested in the virtual model, it was possible to improve their thermal behaviour, a decrease in electrical energy consumption, as well as, the associated CO2 emissions reduction can be attained. In this project, the CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) soffware--ANSYS Fluent was used to simulate the ambient temperature and velocity fields inside the refrigerator and in that way to validate the measured results.展开更多

Energetic characteristics of cycles: specific mass and volume cooling capacity q0 and qv, work of compression 1, refrigerating coefficient of performance e and power N for drive of compressor were compared. These characteristics were calculated for eight refrigerants at temperature of their condensation 30 ℃ and temperatures of boiling -15℃ and -30 ℃. The calculations show that the use of isothermal compression of refrigerant vapor ensures economy of energy during refrigerating machine operation.展开更多

The first step is to determine the operating condition and ejector geometry through computer calculation program. That found at the generator temperature 84 ℃ and evaporator temperature 8 ℃, diameter of nozzle throat is 2 mm, diameter of nozzle exit is 8 mm, diameter of mixing chamber inlet is 25 mm, diameter of constant area section is 8 mm. Area of evacuated solar collector is 10 m2, thermal storage tank size is 0.33 m3, cold thermal storage size is 2.3 m3. The entrainment ratio and COP (coefficient of performance) of computer calculation program are 0.295 and 0.235, respectively. The second step ejector is fabricated and equipped to solar ejector refrigeration system, it is found that, average COP is 0.265. The economics analysis of solar ejector cooling system are invested in the investment cost was 158,158 baht. When calculating payback period was 7.73 years, the return value on a NPV (net present value) was 60,872.63 baht of lifetime of the system throughout a period of 15 years, and IRR (internal rate of return) is 13.57%.展开更多

Until now in thermodynamic models calculations of refrigerant is not considered with lubricant and moist air but as an ideal pure gas (without any contaminants). This is also the case in refrigeration cycle where the refrigerant is very often considered as an ideal one. Lubricant, air and water vapour are not considered in thermodynamic calculations in spite of their existence. The problems in the existing research are summarized. A further study is suggested on refrigerant systems. This circulation of such calculations is at the origin of a deviation from a theoretical behaviour. This article aims at reviewing the researches of oil-refrigerant, air-refrigerant, moist air-refrigerant or oil-moist air-refrigerant mixtures and focuses particularly on mixture enthalpy calculation. This paper deals with the description of the real mixture of refrigerant and contaminants (lubricant, water, moist air and other remains of refrigerants at elevated pressures and temperatures) which flow in a refrigerating cycle and the main point of this paper is to appoint thermodynamic parameters of such a mixture using the thermodynamic formulas.展开更多
