The main purpose of this paper is to show a short programming code in LabVIEW to control the movement of two cylinders with an automatic control program using only analog inputs from the sensor of pressure and linear displacement sensor and the digital output from the hydraulic valves. Different from conventional algorithms, it was based on certain defined points containing the illumination information ...In order to improve image quality, a novel Retinex algorithm for image enhancement was presented. Different from conventional algorithms, it was based on certain defined points containing the illumination information in the intensity image to estimate the illumination. After locating the points, the whole illumination image was computed by an interpolation technique. When attempting to recover the reflectance image, an adaptive method which can be considered as an optimization problem was employed to suppress noise in dark environments and keep details in other areas. For color images, it was taken in the band of each channel separately. Experimental results demonstrate that the proposed algorithm is superior to the traditional Retinex algorithms in image entropy.展开更多

Through nine times tries of marking two suits with the CAD marking module, the fabric length and rates are derived. The formulas of the marking fabric length, the length total, and the girth total are obtained by using SPSS software. Moreover, by comparing the two incorporation methods of cutting in which one in the arithmetic sequence and the other in the geometric sequence, it is found that the one in the arithmetic sequence is better than the one in the geometric sequence.展开更多
Copy-Move Forgery(CMF) is one of the simple and effective operations to create forged digital images.Recently,techniques based on Scale Invariant Features Transform(SIFT) are widely used to detect CMF.Various approach...Copy-Move Forgery(CMF) is one of the simple and effective operations to create forged digital images.Recently,techniques based on Scale Invariant Features Transform(SIFT) are widely used to detect CMF.Various approaches under the SIFT-based framework are the most acceptable ways to CMF detection due to their robust performance.However,for some CMF images,these approaches cannot produce satisfactory detection results.For instance,the number of the matched keypoints may be too less to prove an image to be a CMF image or to generate an accurate result.Sometimes these approaches may even produce error results.According to our observations,one of the reasons is that detection results produced by the SIFT-based framework depend highly on parameters whose values are often determined with experiences.These values are only applicable to a few images,which limits their application.To solve the problem,a novel approach named as CMF Detection with Particle Swarm Optimization(CMFDPSO) is proposed in this paper.CMFD-PSO integrates the Particle Swarm Optimization(PSO) algorithm into the SIFT-based framework.It utilizes the PSO algorithm to generate customized parameter values for images,which are used for CMF detection under the SIFT-based framework.Experimental results show that CMFD-PSO has good performance.展开更多
In order to perform a high-quality interactive rendering of large medical data sets on a single off-the-shelf PC, a LOD selection algorithm for multi-resolution volume rendering using 3D texture mapping is presented, ...In order to perform a high-quality interactive rendering of large medical data sets on a single off-the-shelf PC, a LOD selection algorithm for multi-resolution volume rendering using 3D texture mapping is presented, which uses an adaptive scheme that renders the volume in a region-of-interest at a high resolution and the volume away from this region at lower resolutions. The algorithm is based on several important criteria, and rendering is done adaptively by selecting high-resolution cells close to a center of attention and low-resolution cells away from this area. In addition, our hierarchical level-of-detail representation guarantees consistent interpolation between different resolution levels. Experiments have been applied to a number of large medical data and have produced high quality images at interactive frame rates using standard PC hardware.展开更多

Digital image processing technology is also used to enable the autonomous driving system to achieve multi-mode lane-keeping, lane-change and obstacle-avoidance.
