However,...Objective: Laser capture microdisection has become indispensable to the analysis of the difference of gene expression between human bladder transitional cell and bladder transitional cell carcinoma (BTCC). However, to obtain sufficient RNA from laser-capture microdissected cells is quite difficult. The study was designed to determinc a feasible technical routine to isolate transitional cells from bladder membrane, separate carcinoma cclls from stromal cells and to amplify the RNA isolated from laser-capture microdissected cells. Methods: Bladder transitional cell were obtained from frozen sections of bladder membrane applying LCM, by the same token, BTCC cells from frozen sections of BTCC tissue. Then RNA was extracted and linearly amplified in vitro. The expression levels of β-actin in primary total RNA and amplified RNA were detected using RT-PCR. Results: That RNA integrity was good after LCM was confirmed by control experiment Ⅰ; By control experiment Ⅱ, the correlation between the number of LCM-shooting and RNA quantity undcr arranged conditions was preliminarily confirmed. About 0.5-2.5kb RNA fragments were obtained after RNA amplification and β-actin levels were integral. Conclusion: Laser capture microdissection combined with RNA linear amplification in vitro can be successfully applied to obtain pure objective cells for research. The integrity of the amplified RNA is good and can be employed in further research.展开更多

The algorithm well designs an adjustment scheme using the time correlation of time delays to increase the accuracy of the time delay detection. The most attractive advantage is that the complicated matrix calculation is replaced by the search steps to estimate the channel parameters without significantly increasing the complexity of the system. The computer simulation demonstrates that the proposed algorithm can track the time delays adaptively and improve the channel estimation performance. Nevertheless, radical changes of the Brazilian nuclear policy in t...Fuel cycle related activities were accomplished in IPEN-CNEN/SP in laboratory and pilot plant scale and most facilities were built in the 70-80 years. Nevertheless, radical changes of the Brazilian nuclear policy in the beginning of 90's determined the interruption of several fuel cycle activities and facilities shutdown. Some laboratory and pilot plant decommissioning activities have been performed in IPEN in the last years. During the operational activities in the decommissioning of old nuclear fuel cycle facilities, the personnel involved in the task had to face several problems. In old facilities, the need of large components dismantling and material removal use to present some difficulties, such as lack of available and near electricity supply. Besides this, the spread out of the superficial contamination in the form of dust or aerosols and the exposure of workers should be as much as possible avoided. Then, the selection and availability of suitable tools for the task, mainly those employed for cutting and segmentation of different materials is of significant importance. Slight hand tools, mainly those powered by rechargeable batteries, facilitate the work, especially in areas where the access is difficult. Based on the experience in the dismantling of some old nuclear facilities of IPEN-CNEN/SP, some tools that would have facilitated the operations were identified and their availability could have improved the quality and efficiency of different individual tasks. In this paper, different cutting problems and techniques, as well as some available commercial hand tools, are presented as suggestion for future activities.展开更多

It reveals that white layers generate on the machine surface in the absence of tool flank wear, and white layer depth varies with the different combinations of hard turning parameters. Turning speed has the most important impact on white layer depth, feed rate follows, and cutting depth at last. The white layer generation consequently suggests a strong couple relation to the heat generation and thermal process of hard turning operation. White layer disappears under an optimal combination of turning parameters by Taguchi method. It suggests that a superior surface integrity without white layer is feasible under some selected combinations of turning parameters by a sharp CBN cutting tool.展开更多

Therefore, the micro-cutting technology will take an important effect on the machining technique of complex shape microparts. In this paper, based on selfly-developed machine tool, the precision cutting technology of complex shape microparts made of metal material was studied by analyzing the modeling method on complex shape, the means of toolpaths layout and the optimal selection for cutting parameters. On the basis of above work, a typical duralumin specimen of high precision, low surface roughness and complex shape micropart was manufactured. The proposed flux limiter scheme is efficient in decreasing the artificial oscillations and numerical diffusion around the interface. Due to the kinetic nature, some interface problems being difficult to handle at the macroscopic level can be modeled more naturally through the LB method. Numerical simulations for the Richtmyer-Meshkov instability show that with the new model the computed interfaces are smoother and more consistent with physical analysis. The growth rates of bubble and spike present a satisfying agreement with the theoretical predictions and other numerical simulations.展开更多

If load torque or speed command changed, the efficiency search algorithm would be abandoned and the rated flux would be established to get the best transient response. We compared DVHs (dose volume histograms) of two tangential irradiation techniques for whole breast RT (radiotherapy) CT (computed tomography) based 2D (two dimensional) technique with wedge filters and 3D CRT...We compared DVHs (dose volume histograms) of two tangential irradiation techniques for whole breast RT (radiotherapy) CT (computed tomography) based 2D (two dimensional) technique with wedge filters and 3D CRT (three dimensional conformal radiotherapy) with segmented fields. These two modalities are commonly used in external beam radiotherapy of breast cancer in Clinical Center Nis, Clinic of Oncology, Serbia. Therapy plans that employed two techniques were generated for eighteen patients. Dosimetric outcomes of each technique were investigated. The maximum dose of breast CTV was significantly reduced from 55.83 Gy for 2D to 54.1 Gy for 3D CRT. Also, the maximum dose of lung tissue decreased from 51.81 Gy for 2D to 49.61 Gy for 3D. The dose conformity and uniformity were much better with 3D CRT segmented field technique.展开更多

This study aims at evaluating the effects of different rates, time and splitting of nitrogen fertilization on the technological quality of wheat cultivated in the Brazilian Southern region. The samples of bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L.), Onix, Quartzo and Mirante cultivars, were obtained through the use of nitrogen (N) fertilizer applied in doses of 36, 100 and 120 kg N ha1 at sowing, tillering and flowering. Laboratorial tests were carried out in a completely randomized design with four repetitions. The parameters analyzed were: grain yield, total protein, protein fractions, gliadins, glutenins, albumins and globulins, sulfur, gluten strength (W), dough tenacity (P), extensibility (L) and stability (S), bread specific volume and bread firmness. While the content of total and reserve proteins is significantly increased with a higher rate and splitting of N, the content of metabolic proteins remains constant. A mean increase in the quality parameters W (24.37%), L (14.86%) and P (11.59%) among cultivars was noticed after application of 120 kg N ha1, split at sowing, tillering and flowering. Bread specific volume increased, while bread firmness decreased with a higher rate of N fertilizer. Wheat fertilization with high doses of N does not cause induction to S deficiency in the grains. Not only increasing the N fertilization rate, but also splitting the N rate had a beneficial effect on the technological quality of wheat.展开更多

A multi-channel statistical region active contour is employed to segment this vector image. The method can be seen as a kind of unsupervised segmentation because parameters are not sensitive to different texture images. In this work, a modified cleaving technique is developed to p...Dicing of fabricated MEMS (microelectromechanical system) devices is sometimes a source of challenge, especially when devices are overhanging structures. In this work, a modified cleaving technique is developed to precisely separate fabricated devices from a silicon substrate without requiring a dicing machine. This technique is based on DRIE (deep reactive ion etching) which is regularly used to make cleaving trenches in the substrate during the releasing stage. Other similar techniques require some extra later steps or in some cases a long HF soak. To mask the etching process, a thick photoresist is used. It is shown that by applying different UV (ultraviolate) exposure and developing times for the photoresist, the DRIE process could be controlled to etch specific cleaving trenches with less depth than other patterns on the photoresist. Those cleaving trenches are used to cleave the wafer later, while the whole wafer remains as one piece until the end of the silicon etching despite some features being etched all the way through the wafer at the same time. The other steps of fabricating and releasing the devices are unaffected. The process flow is described in details and some results of applying this technique for cleaving fabricated cantilevers on a silicon substrate are presented.展开更多

The idea originates from the wavelet packets representative of an image in which information is graded in terms of different priorities. The graded image facilitates more efficient use of adaptive subcarriers and bits allocation. The results of simulation in typical mobile environment prove that the output signal noise ratio (SNR) of the graded image excels that of the ungraded image by 1—2 dB under the same channel condition.展开更多

Considering that the base station can adopt multiple re- ceiver antennas in the uplink, we employ the Space Diversity Combining (SDC) technique to improve the sys- tem pertbrmance via multiple antennas. The uplink performance of proposed CWP-MC-CDMA system with SDC technique is investigated over Rayleigh lading channel, and corresponding bit error rate analysis is given in detail. The system can avoid the decrease of spectrum efficiency of conventional MC-CDMA due to inserting cyclic prefix. Theoretical analysis and simulation result show that the application of SDC technique can improve the CWP-MC-CDMA system ability to combat spatial lading and various interferences effectively. Moreover, the proposed system based on SDC technique has superior Bit Error Rate (BER) performance over the Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) and SDC based MC-CDMA system and the real wavelet packet and SDC based MC-CDMA system.展开更多

The first method combined Loss Model and "golden section technique", which was faster than the available methods. Secondly, the low-frequency ripple torque due to decrease of rotor flux was compensated in a feedforward manner. If load torque or speed command changed, the efficiency search algorithm would be abandoned and the rated flux would be established to get the best transient response. The close agreement between the simulation and the experimental results confirmed the validity and usefulness of the proposed techniques.

文摘Security access control systems and automatic video surveillance systems are becoming increasingly important recently,and detecting human faces is one of the indispensable processes.In this paper,an approach is presented to detect faces in video surveillance.Firstly,both the skin-color and motion components are applied to extract skin-like regions.The skin-color segmentation algorithm is based on the BPNN (back-error-propagation neural network) and the motion component is obtained with frame difference algorithm.Secondly,the image is clustered into separated face candidates by using the region growing technique.Finally,the face candidates are further verified by the rule-based algorithm.Experiment results demonstrate that both the accuracy and processing speed are very promising and the approach can be applied for the practical use.
文摘We compared DVHs (dose volume histograms) of two tangential irradiation techniques for whole breast RT (radiotherapy) CT (computed tomography) based 2D (two dimensional) technique with wedge filters and 3D CRT (three dimensional conformal radiotherapy) with segmented fields. These two modalities are commonly used in external beam radiotherapy of breast cancer in Clinical Center Nis, Clinic of Oncology, Serbia. Therapy plans that employed two techniques were generated for eighteen patients. Dosimetric outcomes of each technique were investigated. The maximum dose of breast CTV was significantly reduced from 55.83 Gy for 2D to 54.1 Gy for 3D CRT. Also, the maximum dose of lung tissue decreased from 51.81 Gy for 2D to 49.61 Gy for 3D. The dose conformity and uniformity were much better with 3D CRT segmented field technique.
文摘The bread-making quality of wheat is a highly complex trait that depends on both genetic and environmental factors. This study aims at evaluating the effects of different rates, time and splitting of nitrogen fertilization on the technological quality of wheat cultivated in the Brazilian Southern region. The samples of bread wheat (Triticum aestivum L.), Onix, Quartzo and Mirante cultivars, were obtained through the use of nitrogen (N) fertilizer applied in doses of 36, 100 and 120 kg N ha1 at sowing, tillering and flowering. Laboratorial tests were carried out in a completely randomized design with four repetitions. The parameters analyzed were: grain yield, total protein, protein fractions, gliadins, glutenins, albumins and globulins, sulfur, gluten strength (W), dough tenacity (P), extensibility (L) and stability (S), bread specific volume and bread firmness. While the content of total and reserve proteins is significantly increased with a higher rate and splitting of N, the content of metabolic proteins remains constant. A mean increase in the quality parameters W (24.37%), L (14.86%) and P (11.59%) among cultivars was noticed after application of 120 kg N ha1, split at sowing, tillering and flowering. Bread specific volume increased, while bread firmness decreased with a higher rate of N fertilizer. Wheat fertilization with high doses of N does not cause induction to S deficiency in the grains. Not only increasing the N fertilization rate, but also splitting the N rate had a beneficial effect on the technological quality of wheat.
文摘A texture image segmentation based on nonlinear diffusion is presented. The scale of texture can be measured during the process of nonlinear diffusion. A smooth 5-channel vector image with edge preserved, which is composed of intensity, scale and orientation of texture image, can be achieved by coupled nonlinear diffusion. A multi-channel statistical region active contour is employed to segment this vector image. The method can be seen as a kind of unsupervised segmentation because parameters are not sensitive to different texture images. Experimental results show its high efficiency in the semiautomatic extraction of texture image.

By page segmentation technique to extract the accurate information in the extract region, the region was processed to extract according to the rules of ontology extraction, and ultimately get the information you need. Through experiments on two real datasets and compare with related work, experimental results show that this method can achieve good extraction results.
文摘Dicing of fabricated MEMS (microelectromechanical system) devices is sometimes a source of challenge, especially when devices are overhanging structures. In this work, a modified cleaving technique is developed to precisely separate fabricated devices from a silicon substrate without requiring a dicing machine. This technique is based on DRIE (deep reactive ion etching) which is regularly used to make cleaving trenches in the substrate during the releasing stage. Other similar techniques require some extra later steps or in some cases a long HF soak. To mask the etching process, a thick photoresist is used. It is shown that by applying different UV (ultraviolate) exposure and developing times for the photoresist, the DRIE process could be controlled to etch specific cleaving trenches with less depth than other patterns on the photoresist. Those cleaving trenches are used to cleave the wafer later, while the whole wafer remains as one piece until the end of the silicon etching despite some features being etched all the way through the wafer at the same time. The other steps of fabricating and releasing the devices are unaffected. The process flow is described in details and some results of applying this technique for cleaving fabricated cantilevers on a silicon substrate are presented.
文摘In this paper, a concept of image grading transmission is put forward to enhance data rate and to improve the usage of subcarriers in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM). The idea originates from the wavelet packets representative of an image in which information is graded in terms of different priorities. The graded image facilitates more efficient use of adaptive subcarriers and bits allocation. The results of simulation in typical mobile environment prove that the output signal noise ratio (SNR) of the graded image excels that of the ungraded image by 1—2 dB under the same channel condition.

文摘This paper deals with channel estimation for orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) systems with transmit diversity. Space time coded OFDM systems, which can provide transmit diversity, require perfect channel estimation to improve communication quality. In actual OFDM systems, training sequences are usually used for channel estimation. The authors propose a training based channel estimation strategy suitable for space time coded OFDM systems. This novel strategy provides enhanced performance, high spectrum efficiency and relatively low computation complexity.

文摘In this paper, a Complex Wavelet Packet (CWP-MC-CDMA) system uplink model is proposed, based Multi-Carrier Code Division Multiple Access based on the analysis of the principle of MC-CDMA and the use of the optimized complex wavelet packet. Considering that the base station can adopt multiple re- ceiver antennas in the uplink, we employ the Space Diversity Combining (SDC) technique to improve the sys- tem pertbrmance via multiple antennas. The uplink performance of proposed CWP-MC-CDMA system with SDC technique is investigated over Rayleigh lading channel, and corresponding bit error rate analysis is given in detail. The system can avoid the decrease of spectrum efficiency of conventional MC-CDMA due to inserting cyclic prefix. Theoretical analysis and simulation result show that the application of SDC technique can improve the CWP-MC-CDMA system ability to combat spatial lading and various interferences effectively. Moreover, the proposed system based on SDC technique has superior Bit Error Rate (BER) performance over the Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) and SDC based MC-CDMA system and the real wavelet packet and SDC based MC-CDMA system.
