Based on these models, the concepts and the quanti- tative expressions of road feel, sensitivity, and operation stability of the steering are introduced. Then, according to constrained optimization features of multi-variable function, a genetic algorithm is designed. Making the road feel of the steering as optimization objective, and operation stability and sensitivity of the steering as constraints, the system parameters are optimized by the genetic and the coordinate rotation algorithms. Simulation results show that the optimization of the novel EPS system by the genetic algorithm can effectively improve the road feel, thus providing a theoretical basis for the design and optimization of the novel EPS system.展开更多

The influences of reaction conditions on the viscosity average molecular weight were studied. The critical value of synthetic PAA Na inhibiting the precipitation of CaCO 3 was determined and compared with that of other common builders. It is confirmed from SEM graphs that PAA Na can make CaCO 3 crystal defective. Washing tests show synthetic PAA Na can partially replace sodium tripolyphosphate (STPP) and is a potential polymeric detergent builder in low phosphate powder detergents.展开更多

Alumina ceramics are widely used in many fields such as cutting tools,laser shock materials,roadbed board and refractory.Herein,Al_(2)O_(3)ceramics are prepared by a low-cost pressureless sintering technology,using th...Alumina ceramics are widely used in many fields such as cutting tools,laser shock materials,roadbed board and refractory.Herein,Al_(2)O_(3)ceramics are prepared by a low-cost pressureless sintering technology,using the binary sintering aids of MgO and SiO_(2).The effects of sintering temperature and the ratio of binary sintering aids on the mechanical properties and microstructure of Al_(2)O_(3)ceramics are investigated.A spinel second phase(MgAl_(2)O_(4))is found out by the analysis of the results of XRD and EDS when MgO and SiO_(2)are introduced in the samples.The optimum properties are found when MgO content is 20 wt.%based on the total sintering aids and the sintering temperature is 1550℃.The bending strength and the bulk density reach a maximum value of 314 MPa and 3.73 g/cm^(3),respectively.The addition of appropriate amount of SiO_(2)makes the formation of liquid phase sintering and the removal of large pores.Meanwhile,a small amount of magnesium oxide doping has an effect on the grain refinement from the microstructure of the sample.Therefore,it is believed that MgO and SiO_(2)are the ideal sintering aids for promoting the densification and property of alumina ceramics.展开更多
The ongoing need for better fuel economy and lower exhaust pollution of vehicles has increased the employment of electric power steering(EPS)in automotives.Optimal design of EPS for a product family reduces the develo...The ongoing need for better fuel economy and lower exhaust pollution of vehicles has increased the employment of electric power steering(EPS)in automotives.Optimal design of EPS for a product family reduces the development and fabrication costs significantly.In this paper,the TOPSIS method along with the NSGA-Ⅱis employed to find an optimum family of EPS for an automotive platform.A multi-objective optimization problem is defined considering road feel,steering portability,RMS of Ackerman error,and product family penalty function(PFPF)as the conflicting objective functions.The results for the single objective optimization problems and the ones for the multi-objective optimization problem,as well as two suggested trade-off design points are presented,compared and discussed.For the two suggested points,performance at one objective function is deteriorated by about 1%,while the commonality is increased by 20%–40%,which shows the effectiveness of the proposed method in first finding the non-dominated design points and then selecting the trade-off among the obtained points.The results indicate that the obtained trade-off points have superior performance within the product family with maximum number of common parts.展开更多

In view of the interference from road random signal and sensor noise in the novel active steering system, the H∞ control model of the novel active steering system was built. With satisfying steering feel, good robust performance and steering stability being the control objectives, the H∞ controller for the novel active front steering (AFS) system was designed. The simulation results show that the novel AFS system with H∞ control strategy can attenuate the road interference quickly, and there is no resonance peak in the bode diagram. It can make the driver obtain more useful information in the low frequency range, and attenuate the road interference better in the high frequency range, thus the driver can get more satisfying road feeling. Therefore, the designed H∞ controller can synthesize the advantages of both robust performance and robust stability, and has certain contribution to the design of novel AFS system.展开更多

According to the features of constrained optimization for multi-variable function, a multi-objective genetic algorithm (GA) was designed. Based on the model of system, the quantitative formula of the road feel, sensitivity, and operation stability of the steering were induced. Considering the road feel and sensitivity of steering as optimization objectives, and the operation stability of steering as constraint, the multi-objective GA was proposed and the system parameters were optimized. The simulation results show that the system optimized by multi-objective genetic algorithm has better road feel, steering sensibility and steering stability. The energy of steering road feel after optimization is 1.44 times larger than the one before optimization, and the energy of portability after optimization is 0.4 times larger than the one before optimization. The ground test was conducted in order to verify the feasibility of simulation results, and it is shown that the pure electric bus equipped with the recirculating ball-type EPS system can provide better road feel and better steering portability for the drivers, thus the optimization methods can provide a theoretical basis for the design and optimization of the recirculating ball-type EPS system.展开更多

In mobile robotics research, we extend FastSLAM 2.0 like stereo vision SLAM with "pure vision" domain to outdoor environments. Unlike popular stochastic motion model used in conventional monocular vision SLAM, we utilize the ideas of structure from motion (SFM) for initial motion estimation, which is more suitable for the robot moving in large-scale outdoor, and textured environments. SIFT features are used as natural landmarks, and its 3D positions are constructed directly through triangulation. Considering the computational complexity and memory consumption, Bkd-tree and Best-Bin-First (BBF) search strategy are utilized for SIFT feature descriptor matching. Results show high accuracy of our algorithm, even in the circumstance of large translation and large rotation movements.展开更多

Although heart transplant is the "gold standard" therapy for HF, due to the limited availability of organs, many patients died when waiting for the transplant. Left ventricular assist device (LVAD), as a mechanical circulatory support, has become a new light for patients with HF. With the technical advancements, LVADs work not only as a bridge to transplant, but also assist heart recovery and even as a destination therapy in long-term treatment. This observation paper reviewed the development of LVAD and its clinical roles. The challenges and possible solutions in nursing care for pa- tients with LVAD at different stage of implantation were discussed. During upstroke operation, the variable pump/motor (P/M) driven by both electric motor and the second (P/M) works as hydraulic pump and output flow to the cylinders which drive the load. During load deceleration, the cylinders work as pump while the operation of the two secondary units are reversed, the variable (P/M) works as a motor generating a torque with the electric motor to drive the other (P/M) which transforms mechanical energy to hydraulic energy that is saved in the accumulator. When the energy storage capacity of the accumulator is attained as the operation continues, energy storage to the accumulator is thermostatically stopped while the induction motor begins to work as a generator and generates electricity that is stored in the power distribution unit. Simulations were performed using a limited PT2 Block, i.e. 2nd-order transfer function with limitation of slope and signal output to determine suitable velocity of the cylinder which will match high performance and system stability. A mathematical model suited to the simulation of the hydraulic accumulator both in an open-or close-loop system is presented. The quest for improvement of lower energy capacity storage, saving and re-utilization of the conventional accumulator resulting in the short cycle time usage of hydraulic accumulators both in domestic and industrial purposes necessitates this research. The outcome of the research appears to be very efficient for generating fluctuation free electricity, power quality and reliability, energy saving/reutilization and system noise reduction.展开更多

It was found tha...A series of Ni based catalysts with different supports and basic additives were prepared by sequential impregnation method. The catalysts were characterized by XRD, BET, H2-TPR and CO2-TPD techniques. It was found that the introduction of basic additives enhanced the basicities of catalyats and promoted the dispersities of Ni particles by strong interaction between Ni2+ and basic additives. Among the Ni based catalysts, 10%Ni/10%La203/ZrO2 showed the superior performance in sorbitol hydrogenolysis. The synergistic effect of Ni and La203 was proven to play an essential role in selective synthesis of EG and 1,2-PG. In the optimal reaction condition, the catalyst presented 100% sorbitol conversion and over 48% glycols (EG and 1,2-PG) yield. The kinetics study of polyols (sorbitol, xylitol and glycerol) hydrogenolysis showed that polyols with more hydroxyl number have higher activity and products distribution was final results of kinetic balance, which could give us some inspiration abeut how to change the products selectivity.展开更多
Investigation of the charge dynamics and roles of cocatalysts is crucial for understanding the reaction of photocatalytic water splitting on semiconductor photocatalysts.In this work,the dynamics of photogenerated ele...Investigation of the charge dynamics and roles of cocatalysts is crucial for understanding the reaction of photocatalytic water splitting on semiconductor photocatalysts.In this work,the dynamics of photogenerated electrons in Ga_(2)O_(3) loaded with Cr_(2)O_(3)-Rh cocatalysts was studied using time-resolved mid-infrared spectroscopy.The structure of these Cr_(2)O_(3)-Rh cocatalysts was identified with high-resolution transmission electron microscopy and CO adsorption Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy,as Rh particles partly covered with Cr_(2)O_(3).The decay dynamics of photogenerated electrons reveals that only the electrons trapped by the Rh particles efficiently participate in the H2 evolution reaction.The loaded Cr_(2)O_(3) promotes electron transfer from Ga_(2)O_(3) to Rh,which accelerates the electron-consuming reaction for H2 evolution.Based on these observations,a photocatalytic water-splitting mechanism for Cr_(2)O_(3)-Rh/Ga_(2)O_(3) photocatalysts has been proposed.The elucidation of the roles of the Cr_(2)O_(3)-Rh cocatalysts aids in further understanding the reaction mechanisms of photocatalytic water splitting and guiding the development of improved photocatalysts.展开更多

As a descriptive study, it explores the written communicative events produced by engineers in the petroleum industry in Malaysia. Language use is commonly analyzed for competence and performance. Competence is best described as the internalized linguistic knowledge as acquired by the learners while the notion of"performance" is best defined as the external evidence of language competence. Therefore, the core of this paper is reflecting actual language use of the language learners in Malaysia. The data are drawn from a sample corpus compiled from the written communicative events in three companies of the petroleum industry in Malaysia. The methodology applied is fundamental as it tends to investigate the linguistic constitutions in the genre-specific corpus of the professional discourse produced. Computer-based syntactical studies are limited as they require hard work and long hours in order to key-in the data and then there is the complex analytic method of describing the findings. In contrast, this paper will demonstrate an uncomplicated method of analysis and also encourage the use of existing POS (part-of speech) tagging software available online.展开更多

A nonlinear dynamic model and a distributed state estimator are combined for the distributed...This paper addresses the gas path component and sensor fault diagnosis and isolation(FDI) for the auxiliary power unit(APU). A nonlinear dynamic model and a distributed state estimator are combined for the distributed control system. The distributed extended Kalman filter(DEKF)is served as a state estimator,which is utilized to estimate the gas path components’ flow capacity. The DEKF includes one main filter and five sub-filter groups related to five sensors of APU and each sub-filter yields local state flow capacity. The main filter collects and fuses the local state information,and then the state estimations are feedback to the sub-filters. The packet loss model is introduced in the DEKF algorithm in the APU distributed control architecture. FDI strategy with a performance index named weight sum of squared residuals(WSSR) is designed and used to identify the APU sensor fault by removing one sub-filter each time. The very sensor fault occurs as its performance index WSSR is different from the remaining sub-filter combinations. And the estimated value of the soft redundancy replaces the fault sensor measurement to isolate the fault measurement. It is worth noting that the proposed approach serves for not only the sensor failure but also the hybrid fault issue of APU gas path components and sensors. The simulation and comparison are systematically carried out by using the APU test data,and the superiority of the proposed methodology is verified.展开更多

文摘A novel active steering system with force and displacement coupled control(the novel AFS system) was introduced,which has functions of both the active steering and electric power steering.Based on the model of the novel AFS system and the vehicle three-degree of freedom system,the concept and quantitative formulas of the novel AFS system steering performance were proposed.The steering road feel and steering portability were set as the optimizing targets with the steering stability and steering portability as the constraint conditions.According to the features of constrained optimization of multi-variable function,a multi-variable genetic algorithm for the system parameter optimization was designed.The simulation results show that based on parametric optimization of the multi-objective genetic algorithm,the novel AFS system can improve the steering road feel,steering portability and steering stability,thus the optimization method can provide a theoretical basis for the design and optimization of the novel AFS system.

文摘The vehicle model of the recirculating ball-type electric power steering (EPS) system for the pure electric bus was built. According to the features of constrained optimization for multi-variable function, a multi-objective genetic algorithm (GA) was designed. Based on the model of system, the quantitative formula of the road feel, sensitivity, and operation stability of the steering were induced. Considering the road feel and sensitivity of steering as optimization objectives, and the operation stability of steering as constraint, the multi-objective GA was proposed and the system parameters were optimized. The simulation results show that the system optimized by multi-objective genetic algorithm has better road feel, steering sensibility and steering stability. The energy of steering road feel after optimization is 1.44 times larger than the one before optimization, and the energy of portability after optimization is 0.4 times larger than the one before optimization. The ground test was conducted in order to verify the feasibility of simulation results, and it is shown that the pure electric bus equipped with the recirculating ball-type EPS system can provide better road feel and better steering portability for the drivers, thus the optimization methods can provide a theoretical basis for the design and optimization of the recirculating ball-type EPS system.

文摘The'entanglement capacity of general two-qubit unitary operators is studied when auxiliary systems are allowed, and the analytical results based on linear entropy when input states are disentangled are given. From the results the condition for perfect entangler, α1 = α2 = π/4, is obtained. Contrary to the case without auxiliary system, the parameter α3 may play active role to the entanglement capacity when auxiliary systems are allowed.

文摘We present an algorithm which can realize mobile robot in unknown outdoor environments, which 3D stereo vision simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) for means the 6-DOF motion and a sparse but persistent map of natural landmarks be constructed online only with a stereo camera. In mobile robotics research, we extend FastSLAM 2.0 like stereo vision SLAM with "pure vision" domain to outdoor environments. Unlike popular stochastic motion model used in conventional monocular vision SLAM, we utilize the ideas of structure from motion (SFM) for initial motion estimation, which is more suitable for the robot moving in large-scale outdoor, and textured environments. SIFT features are used as natural landmarks, and its 3D positions are constructed directly through triangulation. Considering the computational complexity and memory consumption, Bkd-tree and Best-Bin-First (BBF) search strategy are utilized for SIFT feature descriptor matching. Results show high accuracy of our algorithm, even in the circumstance of large translation and large rotation movements.
文摘Heart failure (HF) is a potentially fatal disease that affects increasing number of people worldwide. Although heart transplant is the "gold standard" therapy for HF, due to the limited availability of organs, many patients died when waiting for the transplant. Left ventricular assist device (LVAD), as a mechanical circulatory support, has become a new light for patients with HF. With the technical advancements, LVADs work not only as a bridge to transplant, but also assist heart recovery and even as a destination therapy in long-term treatment. This observation paper reviewed the development of LVAD and its clinical roles. The challenges and possible solutions in nursing care for pa- tients with LVAD at different stage of implantation were discussed. The healthcare professionals could obtain a better understanding about the LVAD treatment for HF patients.
文摘It is the purpose of the present paper to convert hydraulic energy to electric energy and saves both the pressure and electrical energy for re - use during the next system upstroke using two secondary units coupled to induction motor to drive cylinder loads. During upstroke operation, the variable pump/motor (P/M) driven by both electric motor and the second (P/M) works as hydraulic pump and output flow to the cylinders which drive the load. During load deceleration, the cylinders work as pump while the operation of the two secondary units are reversed, the variable (P/M) works as a motor generating a torque with the electric motor to drive the other (P/M) which transforms mechanical energy to hydraulic energy that is saved in the accumulator. When the energy storage capacity of the accumulator is attained as the operation continues, energy storage to the accumulator is thermostatically stopped while the induction motor begins to work as a generator and generates electricity that is stored in the power distribution unit. Simulations were performed using a limited PT2 Block, i.e. 2nd-order transfer function with limitation of slope and signal output to determine suitable velocity of the cylinder which will match high performance and system stability. A mathematical model suited to the simulation of the hydraulic accumulator both in an open-or close-loop system is presented. The quest for improvement of lower energy capacity storage, saving and re-utilization of the conventional accumulator resulting in the short cycle time usage of hydraulic accumulators both in domestic and industrial purposes necessitates this research. The outcome of the research appears to be very efficient for generating fluctuation free electricity, power quality and reliability, energy saving/reutilization and system noise reduction.

文摘A series of Ni based catalysts with different supports and basic additives were prepared by sequential impregnation method. The catalysts were characterized by XRD, BET, H2-TPR and CO2-TPD techniques. It was found that the introduction of basic additives enhanced the basicities of catalyats and promoted the dispersities of Ni particles by strong interaction between Ni2+ and basic additives. Among the Ni based catalysts, 10%Ni/10%La203/ZrO2 showed the superior performance in sorbitol hydrogenolysis. The synergistic effect of Ni and La203 was proven to play an essential role in selective synthesis of EG and 1,2-PG. In the optimal reaction condition, the catalyst presented 100% sorbitol conversion and over 48% glycols (EG and 1,2-PG) yield. The kinetics study of polyols (sorbitol, xylitol and glycerol) hydrogenolysis showed that polyols with more hydroxyl number have higher activity and products distribution was final results of kinetic balance, which could give us some inspiration abeut how to change the products selectivity.
文摘Investigation of the charge dynamics and roles of cocatalysts is crucial for understanding the reaction of photocatalytic water splitting on semiconductor photocatalysts.In this work,the dynamics of photogenerated electrons in Ga_(2)O_(3) loaded with Cr_(2)O_(3)-Rh cocatalysts was studied using time-resolved mid-infrared spectroscopy.The structure of these Cr_(2)O_(3)-Rh cocatalysts was identified with high-resolution transmission electron microscopy and CO adsorption Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy,as Rh particles partly covered with Cr_(2)O_(3).The decay dynamics of photogenerated electrons reveals that only the electrons trapped by the Rh particles efficiently participate in the H2 evolution reaction.The loaded Cr_(2)O_(3) promotes electron transfer from Ga_(2)O_(3) to Rh,which accelerates the electron-consuming reaction for H2 evolution.Based on these observations,a photocatalytic water-splitting mechanism for Cr_(2)O_(3)-Rh/Ga_(2)O_(3) photocatalysts has been proposed.The elucidation of the roles of the Cr_(2)O_(3)-Rh cocatalysts aids in further understanding the reaction mechanisms of photocatalytic water splitting and guiding the development of improved photocatalysts.
文摘This paper presents CACA (computer-assisted corpus analysis) conducted by using a compiled representative corpus. As a descriptive study, it explores the written communicative events produced by engineers in the petroleum industry in Malaysia. Language use is commonly analyzed for competence and performance. Competence is best described as the internalized linguistic knowledge as acquired by the learners while the notion of"performance" is best defined as the external evidence of language competence. Therefore, the core of this paper is reflecting actual language use of the language learners in Malaysia. The data are drawn from a sample corpus compiled from the written communicative events in three companies of the petroleum industry in Malaysia. The methodology applied is fundamental as it tends to investigate the linguistic constitutions in the genre-specific corpus of the professional discourse produced. Computer-based syntactical studies are limited as they require hard work and long hours in order to key-in the data and then there is the complex analytic method of describing the findings. In contrast, this paper will demonstrate an uncomplicated method of analysis and also encourage the use of existing POS (part-of speech) tagging software available online.
文摘Under the context of economic transformation and upgrading and the continued advancement of supplyside reforms in China, the development of the energy industry is confronted with many problems and challenges, such as insufficient energy investment, a shortage of financing channels,and the low participation of social capital. In order to fully mobilize social capital to invest in energy, enhance energy investment efficiency, expand energy financing channels,and increase the vitality of the energy industry, the state has recently issued the Implementing Opinions on Deepening the Reform of Investment and the Financing System in the Energy Industry( "Opinions"). This paper provides a deep interpretation of this document from the perspectives of the background for the investment and financing system reform in the energy industry,the main content of the reform, the problems and challenges confronting the reform,and the expected effects from the reform, and analyzes the objectives, ideas and problems of the reform, in order to effectively promote the investment and financing system reform in the energy industry.

文摘This paper addresses the gas path component and sensor fault diagnosis and isolation(FDI) for the auxiliary power unit(APU). A nonlinear dynamic model and a distributed state estimator are combined for the distributed control system. The distributed extended Kalman filter(DEKF)is served as a state estimator,which is utilized to estimate the gas path components’ flow capacity. The DEKF includes one main filter and five sub-filter groups related to five sensors of APU and each sub-filter yields local state flow capacity. The main filter collects and fuses the local state information,and then the state estimations are feedback to the sub-filters. The packet loss model is introduced in the DEKF algorithm in the APU distributed control architecture. FDI strategy with a performance index named weight sum of squared residuals(WSSR) is designed and used to identify the APU sensor fault by removing one sub-filter each time. The very sensor fault occurs as its performance index WSSR is different from the remaining sub-filter combinations. And the estimated value of the soft redundancy replaces the fault sensor measurement to isolate the fault measurement. It is worth noting that the proposed approach serves for not only the sensor failure but also the hybrid fault issue of APU gas path components and sensors. The simulation and comparison are systematically carried out by using the APU test data,and the superiority of the proposed methodology is verified.
