微胶囊层间增韧碳纤维/环氧树脂复合材料力学性能的超声导波评价 被引量:5

选用微胶囊作为改性材料,采用热压机层压成型工艺制备出微胶囊层间增韧T300碳纤维/环氧树脂(CF/EP)复合材料。通过双悬臂梁(DCB)Ⅰ型层间断裂试验评估了CF/EP复合材料的增韧效果。利用超声导波技术对普通CF/EP复合材料和增韧CF/EP复合... 选用微胶囊作为改性材料,采用热压机层压成型工艺制备出微胶囊层间增韧T300碳纤维/环氧树脂(CF/EP)复合材料。通过双悬臂梁(DCB)Ⅰ型层间断裂试验评估了CF/EP复合材料的增韧效果。利用超声导波技术对普通CF/EP复合材料和增韧CF/EP复合材料层间力学性能进行评价。通过SEM对CF/EP复合材料层间断面微观形貌进行观察,以揭示微胶囊的增韧机制,同时对超声导波检测结果进行辅助说明。结果表明,微胶囊以团聚形式分布在层间基体中,可以有效提高CF/EP复合材料的层间断裂韧性。微胶囊的填充改变了CF/EP复合材料层间基体特性,增加了导波传播过程中的衰减,导致响应信号峰值降低。同时,团聚的微胶囊改变了CF/EP复合材料对于中心频率125 kHz五峰波激励的振动响应,导致中心频率在信号频谱中的幅值低于普通CF/EP复合材料。 展开更多

In order to better design, fabricate and control pear handling machine, we should take into account mechanical and rheological properties of pear fruits as related to handling process. The changes in rheological properties of pears stored at 5, 15, 25 ℃ and variable (fluctuating) temperature for 12 days were evaluated in terms of elasticity and viscosity parameters using creep tests. The elasticity and viscosity parameters in creep tests in general decreased with increase in storage time both under constant and variable storage conditions. For the variable storage condition, a bulk mean temperature calculated to account for a series combination of storage time and temperature to which the pears subjected. The changes in rheological properties due to variable storage temperature were described as a function of storage time. The result indicated that except the viscosity parameter of the Maxwell component of the four-element model, it was possible to describe the changes in rheological properties as a function of storage time, which are better physical parameters to estimate the quality of pears. 展开更多

This paper presents results of a study on the mechanical properties of sandy and gravely soils within the Cordillera Blanca, Peru. The soils were divided into groups according to their origin(glacial, fluvial, or debris flow). The grain size distribution of forty three soil samples was used to classify the soils according to the scheme of the Unified Soil Classification System(USCS). These distributions have then been used to estimate shear strength and hydraulic properties of the soils. There are clear differences between the soils which reflect their divergent origins. The glacial soils normally fit within one of two distinctive groups according to the proportion of fines(Group A, 7%-21.5%; Group B, 21%-65%). The estimation of shear strength at constant volume friction angle and peak shear strength of the glacial sediments with low content of fines was made using published data relating to the measured shear strength characteristics of soils with similar origins and grain size distributions. The estimated values were supported by measurements of the angle of repose taken from fourteen samples from two moraines and by shear tests on samples from one locality. The results of the grain size distribution werealso used to estimate the average hydraulic conductivity using the empirical Hazen formula which results were verified by field infiltration tests at two localities. 展开更多

Straightening machine is widely used for improving the quality of the defective mild steel plates.In general,the capacity of straightening machine is affected by material properties,the initial shape of the incoming plate and the plastic ratio.The mechanics model describing the capacity of the machine was developed.The deviation of the straightening capacity curves was studied.Then,the presented model was evaluated by comparative study to filed production data.Finally,the influences of overstretch,straightening speed,strengthening coefficient,elastic modulus,width of the plate on the straightening capacity were studied.It is convenient to determine whether the plate can be straightened or not by a series of straightening capacity curves.The straightening speed,width of the plate and elastic modulus of the material are more sensitive to the straightening capacity than the strengthening coefficient. 展开更多

The microstructure and mechanical properties of Mg-xCe-0.5Zn (x=0.5, 1.5, 2.5, molar fraction, %) alloys were examined using a nano-indentation technique. The alloys were fabricated using a vacuum induction melting method under an argon atmosphere The microstruetures of Mg-xCe-0.5Zn alloys mainly consist ofa-Mg and eutectic Mg12Ce phase. The volume fraction and size of the eutectic Mgl2Ce phase increase with increasing Ce contents. Nano-indentation test results show that the indentation hardness and elastic modulus of the eutectic Mg12Ce phase are higher than those of the a-Mg matrix. In addition, the mean indentation hardness and elastic modulus of the Mg-xCe-0.5Zn alloys increase with the Ce addition amount increasing. 展开更多

The energy consumption of buildings in urban areas is one of the greatest source of energy wasting and, consequently, ofincreasing of CO2 emission. Research is currently focused on the reduction of this consumption through the use of passive air-conditioning systems, that can be integrated with conventional systems and give rise to the so-called hybrid systems. Historically, these passive systems were developed in the Mediterranean and Middle East area. The research approach on this topic involves the application of design strategies and the development of computational tools and control systems. The development of the hybrid systems is the result of the synergy between current scientific knowledge, advanced manufacturing and information technology. In this study, a modular housing system has been investigated under different conditions. Simulations have been repeated, in order to identify the configuration that provides the highest indoor comfort. The analysis of the different conditions has been carried out using a CFD (computational fluid dynamic) software. The paper shows the results developed by the Dipartimento di Architettura of the Universit^t di Palermo in the analysis of the natural ventilation effect on the indoor comfort. 展开更多
