The observed normal deformed and superdeformed bands are explained and the terminating states are confirmed by the calculations. The transition quadrupole moment Qt of the calculated superdeformed band is in good agreement with the observed one at high spin. There is shape coexistence within the same configuration. Possible normal deformed and superdeformed bands with rotation around the intermediate axis in several interesting configurations of40Ca are discussed. Possible favored superdeformed band terminations in 38Ca and 38Ar are predicted. The experimental results in 38Ar are discussed simply.展开更多

In view of fluctuation features of rotor speed rise curve during load rejection tests, the measurement principle of rotor inertia moment was expounded. Based on the measured data in load rejection tests for an imported type of domestic 300-MW generating unit, the rotor speed rise curve was fitted with three kinds of functions to get initial runup rate, but the obtained results differed a lot from each other. According to analysis on the mechanism of rotor speed rise, m=2 consecutive points averaging or FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) smoothing technology was introduced to process test data, and then the initial runup rate was determined by the method of linear fitting of rotor speed in the range of governing valve closing time. Although the obtained curves had a fluctuating shape, the results of rotor inertia moment for 50% and 100% load rejection tests were of good consistency.展开更多

It is assumed that friction occurs in the rotational joints, whereas a spherical joint can be treated as an ideal one. The mechanism in the form of a closed-loop kinematic chain was divided by cut joint technique into two open-loop kinematic chains in place of the spherical joint. Joint coordinates and homogeneous transformation matrices were used to describe the geometry of the system. Equations of the chains' motion were derived using formalism of Lagrange equations. Cut joint constraints and reaction forces, acting in the cutting place---i.e, in the spherical joint, have been introduced to complete the equations of motion. As a consequence, a set of differential-algebraic equations has been obtained. In order to solve these equations, a procedure based on differentiation twice of the formulated constraint equations with respect to time has been applied. In order to determine values of friction torques in the rotational joints in each integrating step of the equations of motion, joint forces and torques were calculated using the recursive Newton-Euler algorithm taken from robotics. For the requirements of the method, a model of a rotational joint has been developed. Some examples of results of the numerical calculations made have been presented in the conclusions of the paper.展开更多
