In the information age, the innovative technologies of mobile devices make the dramatical changes in ways of teaching and learning (Atkinson, 2011; Bierstaker, Janvrin & Lowe, 2014, Pittaway, 2012; Yang & Che, 2015). The focus of this study aims to examine ESP college students' English learning performance by using Context Aware Mobile Situated Learning (CAMSL) in Tourism and Hospitality Management field and other majors. The mixed research method is conducted for data collection and analysis. The quantitative data are collected by examining students' learning performance; the qualitative data are allowed to understand the students' perspective toward their role in using the CAMSL with Tourism related content. Eight-three students are randomly selected and divided into two groups: 42 students are assigned in the experimental group A (CAMSL), and 41 students are assigned in control group. Two groups of students receive pretest and posttest to examine their English performance. Besides, twenty students from group A and B are selected for online survey. The survey is mailed directly to students' email account. Results represented by using CAMSL show the significant improvement on students' learning performance. In addition, the survey data indicate the benefits of using the CAMSL help students enhance their academic discourse, develop their learned knowledge to represent their profession, use English properly to speak themselves up, and provide the effectiveness of obtain domain knowledge in future workplace.展开更多

Method: In teaching, it takes the two classes of 2012 grade nursing major as the experiment object. The comparison class adopts traditonal and speaking-practice combination teaching method and the experiment class adopts task-driving teaching method. When the semester finishes, it conducts testing andd questionnaire survey, collecting the relevant data, analyzing the changes of students in the aspects of performance, learning interest and attitude, autonomous learning consciousness and ability after experiment class adopting new teaching methods. Result: The exam performance of experiment class is obviously higher than the comparison class, and the experiment class has an obvious improvement in the aspects of learning interest, autonomous learning consciousness and ability, and the difference has statistical significance. Conclusion: The task driving teaching method is suitable for the status of information foundation teaching in health vocational colleges, which improves students' performance significantly and is good for students' learning interest and enthusiasm, obtaining good classroom effect. Cloud technology offers better computing through improved utilization and reduced administration and infrastructure costs. Cloud computing is the sum of Software as a Service (SaaS) and utility computing. Cloud computing represents a fundamental change in the way computing power is generated and distributed, transforming the delivery of IT tools and products into elastic, on demand services characterized by flexible "pay as you go" payment models. More than half of European Union (EU) businesses and consumers already use some kind of cloud services. The core of deepening medical teaching reform is to break the traditional teaching model (i.e. giving a lecture), and create a better classroom teaching situation by making full use of the modern teaching methods. In B-learning, the effective combination of the traditional teaching method' s advantages with the E-learning in a pure technical environment is advocated. In the task-driven teaching, a teaching design is made by students in a real or simulated real environment. We used the Universal Soil Loss...Human activities significantly alter ecosystems and their services; however, quantifying the impact of human activities on ecosystems has been a great challenge in ecosystem management. We used the Universal Soil Loss Equation and county-level socioeconomic data to assess the changes in the ecosystem service of soil conservation between 2000 and 2010, and to analyze its spatial characteristics and driving factors in the southwestern China. The results showed that cropland in the southwestern China decreased by 3.74%, while urban land, forest, and grassland areas increased by 46.78%, 0.86%, and 1.12%, respectively. The soil conservation increased by 1.88 × 10^(11) kg, with deterioration only in some local areas. The improved and the degraded areas accounted for 6.41% and 2.44% of the total land area, respectively. Implementation of the Sloping Land Conversion Program and urbanization explained 57.80% and 23.90% of the variation in the soil conservation change, respectively, and were found to be the main factors enhancing soil conservation. The 2008 Wenchuan earthquake was one of the factors that led to the degradation of soil conservation. Furthermore, industrial adjustment, by increasing shares of Industry and Service and reducing those of Agriculture, has also promoted soil conservation. Our results quantitatively showed and emphasized the contributions to soil conservation improvement made by implementing ecological restoration programs and promoting urbanization. Consequently, these results provide basic information to improve our understanding of the effects of ecological restoration programs, and help guide future sustainable urban development and regional industrial restructuring.展开更多

This model uses the geographical information service ontology. In this paper, first we study the multilevel matching arithmetic of geographical information services. This arithmetic is used for filtering and matching the services in the service register center according to the similarity between services selected and services requested from the definition of the function similarity and credit standing similarity. The matching arithmetic, geographical information service ontology and semantic description constitute the discovering model. Finally, we test and analyze the model from the recall ratio, precision ratio, responsivity and load balance. The result indicates that the ontology-driven discovering model is excellent in recall ratio and precision ratio, and can maintain the dynamic load balance of service copy.展开更多
