The inviscid fluxes are approximated by using the modified advection upstream splitting method (AUSM) scheme, and a 5-stage explicit Runge-Kutta scheme is adopted in the time integration. To avoid the influence of the magnetic field divergence created during the simulation, the hyperbolic divergence cleaning method is introduced. The shock-capturing properties of the method are verified by solving the MHD shock-tube problem. Then the 2-D nozzle flow with the magnetic field is numerically simulated on the unstructured mesh. Plant grains and stalks were collected for determination of K content. Seven equations were used to describe the kinetics of K release from surface soil samples taken before the corn experiments under electric field strengths of 44.4 and 88.8 V cm^-1 by means of electro-ultrafiltration (EUF) and to determine if their parameters had a practical application. The second-order and Elovich equations excellently described K release; the first-order, power function, and parabolic diffusion equations also described K release well; but the zero-order and exponential equations were not so good at reflecting K release. Five reference standards from the field experiments, including relative grain yield (yield of the NP treatment/yield of the NPK treatment), relative dry matter yield (dry matter of the NP treatment/dry matter of the NPK treatment), quantity of K uptake in the NP treatment (no K application), soil exchangeable K, and soil HNO3-soluble K, were used to test the effectiveness of equation parameters obtained from the slope or intercept of these equations. Correlations of the ymax (the maximum desorbable quantity of K) in the second-order equation and the constant b in the first-order and Elovich equations to all five reference standards were highly significant (P ≤ 0.01). The constant a in the power function equation was highly significant (P 〈 0.01) for four of the five reference standards with the fifth being significant (P ≤ 0.05). The constant b in the parabolic equation was also significantly correlated (P ≤ 0.05) to the relative grain yield and soil HNO3-soluble K. These suggested that all of these parameters could be used to estimate the soil K supplying capacity and the crop response to K fertilizer.展开更多

A surrogate model is an approximation method that is used to predict unknown functions based on the sampling data obtained by the design of experiments. This model can also be used to predict aerodynamic coefficients/derivatives using several measured points. The objective of this paper is to develop an efficient digital flight simulation by solving the equation of motion to predict the aerodynamics data using a surrogate model. Accordingly, there is a need to construct and investigate aerodynamic databases and compare the accuracy of the surrogate model with the exact solution, and hence solve the equation of motion for the flight simulation analysis. In this study, sample datas for models are acquired from the USAF Stability and Control DATCOM, and a database is constructed for two input variables (the angle of attack and Mach number), along with two derivatives of the X-force axis and three derivatives for the Z-force axis and pitching moment. Furthermore, a comparison of the value predicted by the Kriging model and the exact solution shows that its flight analysis prediction ability makes it possible to use the surrogate model in future analyses.展开更多

In this study, a mathematical model is developed to simulate the takeoff of a wing near the ground using an Iterative Boundary Element Method (IBEM) and the finite difference scheme. Two stand-alone sub-codes and a mother code, which enables communication between the sub-codes, are developed to solve for the self-excitation of the Wing-In-Ground (WIG) effect. The aerodynamic force exerted on the wing is calculated by the first sub-code using the IBEM, and the vertical displacement of the wing is calculated by the second sub-code using the finite difference scheme. The mother code commands the two sub-codes and can solve for the aerodynamics of the wing and operating height within seconds. The developed code system is used to solve for the force, velocity, and displacement of an NACA6409 wing at a 4° Angle of Attack (AoA) which has various numerical and experimental studies in the literature. The effects of thickness and AoA are then investigated and conclusions were drawn with respect to generated results. The proposed model provides a practical method for understanding the flight dynamics and it is specifically beneficial at the pre-design stages of a WIG effect craft.展开更多
