In this paper, motion analysis methods based on the moment features and flicker frequency features for early fire flame from ordinary CCD video camera were proposed, and in order to describe the changing of flame and disturbance of non-flame phenomena further more, the average changing pixel number of the first-order moments of consecutive flames has been defined in the moment analysis as well. The first-order moments of all kinds of flames used in our experiments present irregularly flickering, and their average changing pixel numbers of first-order moments are greater than fire-like disturbances. For the analysis of flicker frequency of flame, which is extracted and calculated in spatial domain, and therefore it is computational simple and fast. The method of extracting flicker frequency from video images is not affected by the catalogues of combustion material and distance. In experiments, we adopted two kinds of flames, i. e. , fixed flame and movable flame. Many comparing and disturbing experiments were done and verified that the methods can be used as criteria for early fire detection. 展开更多

In this paper, we overview the principle of Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing Passive Optical Network (OFDM-PON) systems, with a particular focus on upstream architectures capable of achieving 10Gbit/s colorless upstream transmission using Reflective Semiconductor Optical Amplifier (RSOA). We propose an architecture of RSOA based OFDM-PON which can achieve 10Gbit/s upstream transmission over a single wavelength. A novel Dynamic Subcarrier Assignment (DSA) algorithm is also proposed to support my architecture, namely Service based Polling in Pipeline (SPP) dynamic subcarrier algorithm. A simulation was conducted to study the performance of SPP algorithm. Compared with the traditional dynamic bandwidth allocation algorithms, service based polling meets the quality of in pipeline algorithm service requirements excellently, and adapts orthogonal frequency division multiplexing passive optical network better with higher bandwidth efficiency and lower algorithm complexity. 展开更多

The modal characteristics of the transverse vibration of an axially moving roller chain coupled with lumped mass were analyzed.The chain system was modeled by using the multi-body dynamics theory and the governing equations were derived by means of Lagrange's equations.The effects of the parameters,such as the axially moving velocity of the chain,the tension force,the weight of lumped mass and its time-variable assign position in chain span,on the modal characteristics of transverse vibration for roller chain were investigated.The numerical examples were given.It is found that the natural frequencies and the corresponding mode shapes of the transverse vibration for roller chain coupled with lumped mass change significantly when the variations of above parameters are considered.With the movement of the chain strand,the natural frequencies present a fluctuating phenomenon,which is different from the uniform chain.The higher the order of mode is,the greater the fluctuating magnitude and frequency are. 展开更多

One way of solving this problem is designing an effective inverse filter. Since the problem is ill-conditioned, a small uncertainty in the measurement will came large deviation in reconstncted signals. The amplified noise has to be suppressed at the sacrifice of biasing in estimation. The paper presents a kind of designing method of inverse filter in frequency domain based on stabilized solutions of Fredholm integral equations of the fast kind in order to reduce dynamic errors. Compared with previous several work, the method has advantage of generalization. Simulations with different Signal-to-Noise ratio (SNR) are investigated. Flexibility of the method is verified. Dynamic Properties of Long Large Cross-section Underground Structures in Dynamic Seismic Analysis

Seismic safety of underground structures is one of the main concerns in underground space exploitation. As the first step for dynamic seismic response analysis, the free vibration of long large cross-section underground structures is studied in the present paper. The general free transverse vibration motion equation of long large cross-section underground structure is derived with the comprehensive consideration of internal and external damping, effects of shear, cross-sectional rotational inertia and axial force, and a twoparameter soil model. In this way, Timoshenko's beam theory is extended. Two limit cases of free transverse vibration of underground structures are discussed. Parameter study shows that in general wave propagation velocities in structures increase with soil elastic parameters. However the influence of Winkler's parameter k is significant while the effect of the second soil elastic parameter gp is insignificant. The free vibration frequency of underground structures increases with relative wave number and soil elastic parameters. Unlike the influence of soil elastic parameters on wave propagation velocities, the influence of soil elastic parameters k and gp on the vibration frequency of underground structures have the same order; therefore the influence of the second soil parameter gp on the free vibration of underground structures should not be neglected in dynamic seismic analysis of underground structures 展开更多

Background modeling and subtraction is a fundamental problem in video analysis. Many algorithms have been developed to date, but there are still some challenges in complex environments, especially dynamic scenes in which backgrounds are themselves moving, such as rippling water and swaying trees. In this paper, a novel background modeling method is proposed for dynamic scenes by combining both tensor representation and swarm intelligence. We maintain several video patches, which are naturally represented as higher order tensors,to represent the patterns of background, and utilize tensor low-rank approximation to capture the dynamic nature. Furthermore, we introduce an ant colony algorithm to improve the performance. Experimental results show that the proposed method is robust and adaptive in dynamic environments, and moving objects can be perfectly separated from the complex dynamic background. 展开更多

An ultra-accurate isogeometric dynamic analysis is presented.The key ingredient of the proposed methodology is the development of isogeometric higher order mass matrix.A new one-step method is proposed for the construction of higher order mass matrix.In this approach,an adjustable mass matrix is formulated through introducing a set of mass parameters into the consistent mass matrix under the element mass conservation condition.Then the semi-discrete frequency derived from the free vibration equation with the adjustable mass matrix is served as a measure to optimize the mass parameters.In 1D analysis,it turns out that the present one-step method can perfectly recover the existing reduced bandwidth mass matrix and the higher order mass matrix by choosing different mass parameters.However,the employment of the proposed one-step method to the2D membrane problem yields a remarkable gain of solution accuracy compared with the higher order mass matrix generated by the original two-step method.Subsequently a full-discrete isogeometric transient analysis algorithm is presented by using the Newmark time integration scheme and the higher order mass matrix.The full-discrete frequency is derived to assess the accuracy of space-time discretization.Finally a set of numerical examples are presented to evaluate the accuracy of the proposed method,which show that very favorable solution accuracy is achieved by the present dynamic isogeometric analysis with higher order mass formulation compared with that obtained from the standard consistent mass approach. 展开更多
