Influence of inflow conditions on the hydrodynamic characteristics of floating photovoltaic membrane structures

The floating photovoltaic membrane prototype developed by Ocean Sun was selected as a reference object,and a 1∶40 scale laboratory model was designed and produced to further explore the impact of inflow conditions on the hydrodynamic properties of the membrane structure.By conducting free attenuation tests,results showed that the inflow has only a slight effect on the natural frequencies of the heave,pitch,and surge of the membrane structure.This finding shows that the dynamic properties of the membrane structure remain essentially stable under different inflow conditions.The results of further regular and irregular wave hydrodynamic experiments show that,compared with the control group,the response of the membrane structure under inflow conditions in terms of heave,pitch,surge,and heave acceleration motions is relatively gentle,whereas the response of the membrane structure to the mooring force is strong.Especially when the waves are irregular,the inflow conditions have a more significant impact on the membrane structure,which may lead to more complex response changes in the structure.Therefore,in the actual engineering design process,the impact of inflow conditions on the behavior of the membrane structure must be fully considered,and appropriate engineering measures must be taken to ensure the safety and stability of the structure. 展开更多

Rockburst has perennially posed a formidable challenge to the stability of underground engineering works,particularly under conditions of deep-seated high stress.This paper provides a comprehensive review of recent advancements in on-site research related to rockburst occurrences,covering on-site case analyses,monitoring methodologies,early warning systems,and risk(proneness)evaluation.Initially,the concepts and classifications of rockburst based on on-site understanding were summarized.The influences of structural planes(in various spatial distribution combinations),in-situ stress(particularly magnitude and direction of the principal stress),dynamic disturbances,and excavation profiles on rockburst were thoroughly assessed and discussed through the analysis of published rockburst cases and on-site survey results.Subsequently,a compendium of commonly employed on-site monitoring techniques was outlined,delineating their respective technical attributes.Particular emphasis is accorded to the efficacy of microseismic monitoring technology and its prospective utility in facilitating dynamic rockburst early warning mechanisms.Building upon this foundation,the feasibility of assessing rockburst propensity while considering on-site variables is verified,encompassing the selection and quantitative evaluation of pertinent indicators.Ultimately,a comprehensive synthesis of the paper is presented,alongside the articulation of prospective research goals for the future. 展开更多

Sc and Zn were introduced into O3-NaMn_(0.5)Ni_(0.5)O_(2)(NaMN)using the combination of solution combustion and solid-state method.The effect of Sc and Zn dual-substitution on Na^(+) diffusion dynamics and structural stability of NaMN was investigated.The physicochemical characterizations suggest that the introduction of Sc and Zn broaden Na^(+) diffusion channels and weaken the Na—O bonds,thereby facilitating the diffusion of sodium ions.Simulations indicate that the Sc and Zn dual-substitution decreases the diffusion barrier of Na-ions and improves the conductivity of the material.The dual-substituted NaMn_(0.5)Ni_(0.4)Sc_(0.04)Zn_(0.04)O_(2)(Na MNSZ44)cathode delivers impressive cycle stability with capacity retention of 71.2%after 200 cycles at 1C and 54.8%after 400 cycles at 5C.Additionally,the full cell paired with hard carbon anode exhibits a remarkable long-term cycling stability,showing capacity retention of 64.1%after 250 cycles at 1C.These results demonstrate that Sc and Zn dual-substitution is an effective strategy to improve the Na^(+) diffusion dynamics and structural stability of NaMN. 展开更多

The effects of strain rate on microstructure and formability of AZ31B magnesium alloy sheets were investigated through uniaxial tensile tests and hemispherical punch tests with strain rates of 10^-4, 10^-3, 10^-2, 10^-1 s^-1 at 200℃. The results show that the volume fraction of dynamic recrystallization grains increases and the original grains are gradually replaced by recrystallization grains with the strain rate decreasing. A larger elongation and a smaller r-value are obtained at a lower strain rate, moreover the erichsen values become larger with the strain rate reducing, so the formability improves. This problem arises in part from the enhanced softening and the coordination of recrystallization grains during deformation. 展开更多

The roughness effect based on the wall function method is introduced into the numerical simulation of the rime ice accretion and the resulting effect on the aerodynamic performance of the airfoil. Incorporating the two-phase model of air/super-cooled droplets in the Eulerian coordinate system, this paper presents the simulation of the rime ice accretion on the NACA 0012 airfoil. The predicted rime ice shape is compared with those results of measurements and simulations by other icing codes. Also the resulting effects of rime ice on airfoil aerodynamic performance are discussed. Results indicate that the rime ice accretion leads to the loss of the maximum lift coefficient by 26%, the decrease of the stall angle by about 3° and the considerable increase of the drag coefficient. 展开更多

For understanding the rock microscopic damage and dynamic mechanical properties subjected to recurrent freeze-thaw cycles, experiments for five groups of homogeneous sandstone under different freeze-thaw cycles were conducted. After freezethaw, nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR) tests and impact loading tests were carried out, from which microscopic damage characteristics of sandstone and dynamic mechanical parameters were obtained. The results indicate that the porosity increases with the increase of cycle number, the rate of porosity growth descends at the beginning of freeze-thaw, yet accelerates after a certain number of cycles. The proportion of pores with different sizes changes dynamically and the multi-scale distribution of pores tends to develop on pore structure with the continuing impact of freeze-thaw and thawing. Dynamic compressive stress-strain curve of sandstone undergoing freeze-thaw can be divided into four phases, and the phase of compaction is inconspicuous compared with the static curve. Elastic modulus and dynamic peak intensity of sandstone gradually decrease with freeze-thaw cycles, while peak strain increases. The higher the porosity is, the more serious the degradation of dynamic intensity is. The porosity is of a polynomial relationship with the dynamic peak intensity. 展开更多

In order to investigate the dependence of microstructure and mechanical properties on the rolling process parameters, AZ31 magnesium alloy sheets with different grain sizes, basal texture intensities and twinning types were obtained using hot rolling at various temperatures and reductions. The volume fractions of the extension, contraction and secondary twins in the as-rolled sheets depend on the grain size. The highest volume fractions of three types of twins are obtained at 523 K under the reduction of 10% when the average grain size value is the maximum. The critical reductions for complete dynamic recrystallization are 30% at 523 K and 40% at 473 K. The increase of yield strength is ascribed to both grain-refinement strengthening and basal texture strengthening at the first stage. When the grain size does not decrease with increasing the reduction, the yield strength is mainly influenced by the texture weakening. 展开更多

In order to investigate the influences of the stoichiometric ratio of La/Mg (increasing La and decreasing Mg on the same mole ratio) on the structure and electrochemical performances of the La-Mg-Ni-based A2B7-type electrode alloy, the as-cast and the annealed ternary Lao.8+xMgo.2_xNi3.5 (x=0-0.05) electrode alloys were prepared. The characterization of electrode alloys by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) shows that all the as-cast and the annealed alloys hold two major phases of (La,Mg)2Ni7 and LaNi5 as well as a residual phase of LaNi3. Moreover, the increase of La/Mg ratio brings on a decline of (La,Mg)2Ni7 phase and a rise of LaNi5 and LaNi3 phases. The variation of La/Mg ratio gives rise to an evident change of the electrochemical performances of the alloys. The discharge capacities of the as-cast and the annealed alloys evidently decrease with growing the La/Mg ratio, while the cycle stabilities of the alloys visibly augment under the same condition. Furthermore, the high rate discharge ability (HRD), the electrochemical impedance spectrum (EIS), the Tafel polarization curves, and the potential step measurements all indicate that the electrochemical kinetic properties of the alloy electrodes increase with the La/Mg ratio rising. 展开更多

[Method] Benthic diversity and water quality of Yuqiao Reservoir, Beidagang Reservoir and Er- wangzhuang Reservoir were investigated in May, July and September 2011, respec- tively. []Result] Of all the 14 sampling sites, 22 species of macroinvertebrates were collected, totally, which included 6 species of aquatic insects, 7 species of Mollusca, 2 species of Crustacean, 7 species of Oligochaeta. The species of macroinverte- brates during May, July and September in Yuqiao reservoir were 11, 8 and 10, respectively. The dominant species were Chironomus sinicus, and Monopylephorus limosus. The average density and biomass of the macrobenthos were 132.43 ind./m2 and 50.09 g/m2. Yuqiao reservoir was mostly at status of premediate polluted, according to the Margalef index, Shannon index and Pielou index. The species of during May, July and September in Beidagang reservoir were 5 5 and 5, respectively. The dominant species were Chironomus sinicus, Penaeus vannamei. The average density and biomass of the macrobenthos were 218 ind./m2 and 2.70 g/m2. Beidagang reservoir was mostly at status of heavy polluted, accord- ing to the Margalef index, Shannon-wiener index, Pielou index. The species of during May, July and September in Erwangzhuang reservoir were 3, 5 and 5, respectively. The dominant species were Monopylephorus limosus, Chi- ronomus sinicus. The average density and biomass of the macrobenthos were 104 ind/m2 and 0.20 g/m2. Erwangzhuang reservoir was mostly at status of intermediate polluted, according to the Margalef index, Shannon index, Pielou index. The density of zoobenthos in Yuqiao Reservoir was positively significantly correlated with TP (P〉 0.05), negatively correlated with NH4+-N (P〉0.05), positively correlated with COD (P〈 0.01), not significantly correlated with other environment factors (P〉0.05). There was no significant correlation between biomass of zoobenthos and environment factors. The density of zoobenthos in Beidagang Reservoir with NH4+-N was positively signif- icantly correlated (P〈0.05), not significantly correlated with other aquatic environment factors (P〉0.05). There was no significant correlation between biomass of zoobenthos and environment factors. The density of zoobenthos in Erwangzhuang Reser- voir with NO3-N was positively significantly correlated (P〈0.05), not significant cor- related with other aquatic environment factors (F〉0.05). The biomass of zoobenthos in Erwangzhuang Reservoir with NH4+-N was positively significantly correlated (P〈 0.05), not significant correlated with other aquatic environment factors (P〉0.05). Aiming to improve the maneuver performance of the strapdown inertial navigation attitude coning algorithm a new coning correction structure is constructed by adding a sample to the traditional compressed coning correction structure. According to the given definition of classical coning motion the residual coning correction error based on the new coning correction structure is derived. On the basis of the new structure the frequency Taylor series method is used for designing a coning correction structure coefficient and then a new coning algorithm is obtained.Two types of error models are defined for the coning algorithm performance evaluation under coning environments and maneuver environments respectively.Simulation results indicate that the maneuver accuracy of the new 4-sample coning algorithm is almost double that of the traditional compressed 4-sample coning algorithm. The new coning algorithm has an improved maneuver performance while maintaining coning performance compared to the traditional compressed coning algorithm. 展开更多

La0.7Ce0.3Ni3.75Mn0.35Al0.15Cu0.75-xFex (x=0-0.20) hydrogen storage alloys were synthesized by induction melting and subsequent annealing treatment, and phase structure and electrochemical characteristics were investigated. All alloys consist of a single LaNi5 phase with CaCu5 structure, and the lattice constant a and the cell volume (V) of the LaNi5 phase increase with increasing x value. The maximum discharge capacity gradually decreases from 319.0 mA?h/g (x=0) to 291.9 mA?h/g (x=0.20) with the increase in x value. The high-rate dischargeability at the discharge current density of 1200 mA/g decreases monotonically from 53.1% (x=0) to 44.2% (x=0.20). The cycling stability increases with increasing x from 0 to 0.20, which is mainly ascribed to the improvement of the pulverization resistance. 展开更多

Molecular dynamics simulations have been performed to investigate well-known energetic material cyelotrimethylene trinitramine (RDX) crystal, 3-azidomethyl-3-methyloxetane (AMMO) and RDX/AMMO propellant. The results show that the binding energies on different crystalline surface of RDX changes in the order of (010)〉(100)〉 (001). The interactions between RDX and AMMO have been analyzed by means of pair correlation functions. The mechanical properties of RDX/AMMO propellant, i.e. elastic coefficients, modulus, Cauchy pressure, and Poisson's ratio, etc., have been obtained. It is found that mechanical properties are effectively improved by adding some amounts of AMMO polymers, and the overall effect of AMMO on three crystalline surfaces of RDX changes in the order of (100)〉(010)〉(001). The energetic properties of RDX/AMMO propellant have also been calculated and the results show that compared with the pure RDX crystal, the standard theoretical specific impulse of RDX/AMMO propellant decrease, but they are still superior to those of double base propellant. 展开更多

Then, this paper estimates China's future human capital demand and shortage based on economic and demographic forecast. This laid a foundation for estimating the relative chemical stability of the drug by determination of its decomposition kinetics using TGA. Although the observed thermal decomposition kinetics of CEZ·Na was complex, a conversion level of 1% was chosen for evaluation of the stability of CEZ·Na crystalline since the mechanism here was more likely to be that of the actual product failure. The evaluation results suggested that the α form of CEZ·Na had the best stability and the amorphous one was the least stable one among α form, dehydrated α form and amorphous form. 展开更多

The simulation results indicate that the stability of the end rings of the three silica nanotubes gradually decreases with increase in temperature. The validity of the vibrational features of silica nanotubes is shown by the vibrational density of states. Infrared spectra on the silica nanotubes under different temperatures are investigated. A detailed assignment of each spectral peak to the corresponding vibrational mode of the three nanotubes has been addressed. The visco-plastic self-consistent (VPSC) model is extended to take the dynamical recrystallization (DRX) into account so that the hot extrusion texture of AZ80 magnesium alloy can be properly modeled. The effects of extrusion temperatures and imposed boundary conditions on the resulting textures were investigated, and good agreement can be found between the simulated and the measured extrusion textures. The simulated results show that the DRX grains are responsible for the formation of the {2110} fiber component since the {1010} poles of the DRX grains are tilted away from those of the unrecrystallized grains during the formation of their high angle boundaries (HABs). In this paper, an innovative jet lifted flame with side micro-jets has been proposed and its effects on the flame structure have also been investigated. Due to the changes of the initial combustion conditions, mixing and aerodynamics which resulted from the perturbation of the side micro-jets, such a lifted jet flame has different flame structure compared with the common premixed flame. Results demonstrate that use of the micro-jets can control, to a certain extent, the flame structure, including the flame length, lift-off distance and blow-off limit. With the same fuel and air flow rate, the flame length with the side micro-jets will decrease about 5%-40% as the air volume ratio a increases from 58%-76%. Compared with the common diffusion flame, the jet flame with the side micro-jets demonstrates to be easier to be a momentum-dominated flame. The flame length with 2 micro-jets is about 5% less than with 6 micro-jets under the same fuel and air flow rate. With the same a, the fewer number of the controlled jets lead to the flame with relatively shorter length, not easier to be blown off and higher NOx emission. With certain fuel flow rate, the critical air volume ratio is largest for the flame with 3 micro-jets, which is more difficult to be blown off than the cases with 2, 4 or 6 micro-jets. 展开更多

AIM: To investigate synergism of inhibition of telomerase activity and proliferation of human colon cancer cells by combination of telomerase antisense oligonucleotides (ASODNs) simultaneously targeting human telomerase RNA (hTR) and human telomerase reverse transcriptase (hTERT) in vitro. METHODS: ASODN of hTR and ASODN of hTERT were transfected into human colon cancer SW480 cells by liposomal transfection reagents. Telomerase activity of SW480 cells was examined using telomeric repeat amplification protocol (TRAP)-enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (PCR-ELISA). Proliferation activity of SW480 cells was tested by methyl thiazolyl tetrazolium assay. Apoptosis and cell cycle were analyzed by flow cytometry. RESULTS: The telomerase activity and cell survival rate in SW480 cells transfected with 0.2 μmol/L of ASODN of hTR or ASODN of hTERT for 24-72 h were significantly decreased in a time-dependent manner compared with those after treatment with sense oligonucleotides and untreated (telomerase activity: 24 h, 73%, 74% vs99%, 98%; 48 h, 61%, 55% vs98%, 99%; 72 h, 41%, 37% vs 99%, 97%; P<0.01; cell survival rate: 24 h, 88%, 86% vs594%, 98%; 48 h, 49%, 47% vs94%, 97%; 72 h, 44%, 42% vs92%, 96%; P<0.01). Moreover, the telomerase activity and the cell survival rate in SW480 cells treated by the combination of telomerase anti-hTR and anti-hTERT were more significantly suppressed than single anti-hTR or anti-hTERT (telomerase activity: 24 h, 59% vs 73%, 74%; 48 h, 43% vs61%, 55%; 72 h, 18% vs41%, 37%; P<0.01; cell survival rate: 24 h, 64% vs88%, 86%; 48 h, 37% vs49%, 47%; 72 h, 25% vs44%, 42%; P<0.01). Meanwhile, the apoptosis rates in the combination group were markedly increased compared with those in the single group (24 h, 18.0% vs7.2%, 7.4%; 48 h, 23.0% vs13.0%, 14.0%; 72 h, 28.6% vs 13.2%, 13.75; P<0.01). Cells in combination group were arrested at G0/G1 phase. CONCLUSION: Telomerase anti-hRT and anti-hTERT suppress telomerase activity, and inhibit growth of human colon cancer cells probably via induction of apoptosis and retardation of cell cycle. Additionally, combined use of telomerase ASODNs targeting both hTR and hTERT yields synergistic action selective for human colon cancer. 展开更多

A type of biomedical magnesium alloy Mg-3Zn-1Y-0.6Zr-0.5Ca was cast and extruded at three extrusion temperatures of 270, 300 and 330 °C. The microstructure and mechanical properties of the cast and extruded alloys, tailored at different extrusion parameters, were investigated using tensile tests, optical microscopy, scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive spectroscopy, X-ray diffractometry, transmission electron microscopy and electron backscattered diffraction. Optimum comprehensive mechanical properties are achieved in the alloy extruded at 270 °C, the ultimate tensile strength and the elongation reach 315 MPa and 26%, respectively, which is deemed to be associated with the grain refinement, weak basal texture and second phases strengthening. After hot extrusion, extensive dynamic recrystallization is found in the Mg-3Zn-1Y-0.6Zr-0.5Ca alloy. Continuous Mg3YZn6 phase bands are gradually broken into discontinuous chain-like or dot-like structures, and the grains distribute more uniformly. The as-extruded Mg-3Zn-1Y-0.6Zr-0.5Ca alloy exhibits a weak texture with (0001) basal planes parallel to the extrusion direction. 展开更多

The analogy between the wave equation of liquid and the Navier equations of structural elasticity is examined in detail. By introducing appropriate parameters, the structural counterpart of the liquid sloshing model can be easily built. Therefore, the dynamic analysis of liquid sloshing can be reduced to that of structural elasticity, and the existing FEM structural analysis computer programs can be applied to liquid sloshing analysis without any modification. The present method also reveals the internal relationship between liquid sloshing and structural vibration. The effectiveness and reliability of the method is illustrated by the numerical example. 展开更多
